  1. Those must be the best options for Scunny. Danyon Hume best option for Birmingham?
  2. That's a tough question to solve @StevePark if you only allow NDL racing on perfect slick tracks, how will they ever learn to race a more difficult track? At the same time don't want injuries! Even someone like Dominic Kubera who has reached GP podiums couldn't get round the Glasgow track, is that because he's only ever been trained on fast & slick Polish circuits?
  3. Hume's 12 match rolling ave is now at 3.85. Last year he was the RS now riding at number 6 he gets tougher rides, so can't see him getting back above 4.00 imo
  4. Not really, same with Sayfutdinov, but he's not really gonna drop his average. It's one of the best rules they thought of not letting foreigners drop to 3.00, maybe more effective in the Championship but riders like Anders Andersen, Rafal Konopka, Arlo Bugeja - would often get team places ahead of Brits despite their low averages.
  5. Rew can drop to 4.00, but I'm not sure if Hume will end up above 4.00?
  6. 1) I don't see how Plymouth "abused the system" last year, a rider got injured - they were allowed a guest. If so many clubs were in aghast at this situation, why haven't the rules been changed to stop it happening again? 2) no mention of the Plymouth reserves is probably telling, Stevie knows Poole will clean up there!
  7. Expecting Mildenhall to be in the cup final holding a 2 point lead going into today's second leg
  8. Riding order hasn't changed for the Peterborough match!
  9. That seems so unpreffessional, could they not have waited till they returned to the pits & have a polite discussion with the team manager present?
  10. Will be June before Berwick's averages change. Are there any heat leaders out there to replace him if Berwick were even looking?
  11. Glasgow have a quiet spell coming up & Workington haven't started yet, Ace will get a break whether he needs it or not!
  12. A ban seems a bit harsh considering GB aren't even bothering to send a reserve. How important can it be in that case?
  13. I'll go for a 2 point win for Berwick. Think Glasgow's reserves could do well!
  14. I agree that's there's better number 6s in the league, but they are on higher averages, so expect them to be better. I've read many comments on various posts about dropping Z.Cook for Nicholls for example, but I just don't see Wolves dropping their averages to allow that change - their top 5 are all good! After the first 2 matches of 2023, the teams rolling aves have risen to 39.63
  15. You could actually have replaced Coles with Schlein for a tac sub & still have given Connor 7 rides. Dropping Connor isn't the odd part, it was using Flint for the extra ride!
  16. I'm not saying Wolves definitely will make the playoffs, but nothing has happened to be sure they won't imo
  17. One away defeat doesn't cost you the play-offs, in fact Wolves could lose every away match by 8 like they did at Lynn, but also win every home match by 22-26 points like they did against Belle Vue & Lynn, get all the bonus points & make the play-offs!
  18. Roynon rode his 4th league match on October 4th, which somehow didn't count as it was after the playoffs cut-off date - which doesn't really make any sense as even if the match was raced before the cut-off neither Armadale or Plymouth could make the top 4 anyway! So it's not as if riders would try & drop their averages because it "didn't matter". However Ashton Boughen rode as a guest a whole month later (Nov 4th) and was given an average, because it was his 4th match! For the record I have no issue with Roynon raving in the NL, just think it should be on the right average. But it appears the BSPL are more interested in making sure a 34 year old with previous Premiership experience, who's being racing since 2007 get all the assistance possible to find a team, with his low average. But Ashton Boughen a 15 year old who has only ridden FOUR matches in his career - let's give him an average to screw with the team who gives him a chance! Roynon also had 5 guest appearances which don't count for averages, but Boughen's guest appearances did!
  19. I actually meant Berwick had a weaker rider at 3 & stronger rider at 4, but obviously didn't proof-read. Didn't explain the second point well either, because most teams have the top 2 at 1&5, I consider them heat leader positions, but 2,3&4 second string positions - so I basically think of all teams as having 2 heat leaders & 3 second strings. What I had meant was Hagon was the strongest of Belle Vue's middle order!
  20. Wasn't at the match, but looking at the scores seems a very strange decision not to wait & use Schlein for ts. Not that it mattered with the rain!
  21. I wonder if Brennan will slot back into the number 5 position, or they'll not ruin everyone's programme by using him at 3?
  22. Or using him on double his current Championship average. Not double the Championship average he had when he joined Plymouth last year!
  23. Just out of curiosity why is a strong finish better than a strong start or middle lol! I understand in the higher leagues, Roynon in heat 14 protects against potential tac subs, no such worry in the NL though!
