  1. If that's the case what's wrong with it? Lots of people go off work with anxiety, why would a Speedway rider be treated shy differently?
  2. Birmingham got a similar benefit last season, once Vissing left & the 28 day "withholding his services" ban ended, they just carried on with guests & r/r, whereas Leicester had to sign a replacement for Rowe when he left!
  3. Birmingham aren't the strongest side, so Plymouth should still win using r/r imo
  4. Poole certainly haven't ridden against a team with a reserve the strength of Edwards, so will be tougher for Newman & Roynon. Should be two good meetings, but can't see past Poole for an aggregate win.
  5. An Aussie who's come along way to score 1 point in 3 meetings!
  6. 2.41 available to (temporarily) replace Killeen, Kinsley is was 2.13 / 2.08 with reduction. Personally I'd go for Kinsley for 28 days for a few reasons, 1) it would give him more track time to help the NL side 2) if Killeen is fit before the 28 days are up, he can ease himself back in with NL racing 3) Kinsley can't guest for a 2.00 rider, so Oxford would have to look elsewhere for guests 4) allows Kinsley to put himself in the shop window for another club (Scunthorpe) if he rides well, but isn't kept on
  7. I'm sure the club would prefer some of the middle / lower order to up their scoring, but as you say the club has made a good start to the season, still in the KOC & BSN, have the only away win in the league - which hold them in good stead for a top 6 spot!
  8. I was thinking the same thing, I can't even laugh - it must be the worst run competition in speedway history!
  9. As best I know they get a facility all season because he's ridden a match for the team.
  10. It's getting embarrassing now, if it wasn't already. Nothing they can do will fix the problem, should've been completed last year (using scores from one-off neutral meeting at Lynn).
  11. Before this meeting came to Glasgow, I'm sure it was usually a £5 fixtures or freebie, possibly added after another meeting (my memory may be playing tricks on me) so I'm not at all surprised at a low turn out with a £10 entrance fee.
  12. I thought Workington were favourites with Harrison, without him SHOULD be tougher, but they've proved perhaps even stronger than I predicted with the form of Sam McGurk & Elliott Kelly.
  13. Certainly is, top 4 riders was Oxford's strength, to lose the one racing at reserve is a disaster.
  14. I applaud the concussion protocols, but Schroek is right, the authorities have done a poor job here, how can they say travel up & you'll get cleared? If they were clearer on the situation, Oxford could've gotten a guest. Hopefully Jenkins was able to enjoy the meeting as a fan?
  15. Turner has scored a few points & could be ok, Trigger does seem out if his depth at Champ level. Last night was obviously an issue because Trigger had to take all the reserve rides. Not sure any other 2.00 riders would score more tbh? Look at Jake Mulford promising enough to be picked for the Prem, but scores 0 nearly every match for Redcar!
  16. Smith obviously rates himself, I guess you have to be positive as a rider, but when he comments he can win races in the Champ & Prem, while looking for a team spot, I think he's over estimating his ability
  17. I'd say It's the same competition in the way the Premier League & the Championship are the same, the Elite League and the Premiership are they same and the Conference & National leagues are they same? The names may have changed but nothing else - apart from a 3 team final one-off final, which never happened, a 3 team final 3 legged event, which never happened. So now it's back to two teams for the final, it's virtually the same as the premier trophy, Championship shield, summer trophy etc
  18. Disaster for Oxford if Killeen is out for any length of time. Will leave them with 2 x 3.00 rookies at reserve.
  19. Redcar vs Poole still on the 19th on the British Speedway website
  20. There was talk pre-season of the Twins being too good for the NDL etc, but tonight has proved that's not the case. If Dan had gotten a Champ side he may have dropped the NL, but it makes sense to stay as he only has Prem racing.
  21. The rules aren't great, i'm sure clubs don't want to encourage a rider to turn up & slide off carefully to get a facility. Where's the cut-off going to be for riders injured pre-season? Becker - ridden a full season without missing a match vs Kennedy - in Scunthorpe's 2022 side till injury vs Wright & signed as a new rider for Birmingham. I can imagine there would be an outcry if there was different facilities given for 3 riders who hadn't ridden yet this year.
  22. My point was the timing of Middleditch's comments, there hasn't been a "first bend bunching" rule for as long as I can remember (if ever) but he brings it up after Poole lose a last heat decider.
  23. It's been suggested he has on the forum, but nothing official announced by Birmingham
