  1. The one match you wouldn't want your top rider to miss tbh. At least with less fixtures in both leagues, fixture clashes are not likely.
  2. Your logic is valid though, Redcar must have rated Shanes as stronger or they would have picked Bailey to start with. Bailey has more potential, will he find it at Redcar?
  3. Similar standard of rider imo. One thing about Bailey is he was far stronger at home 6.31 (7.56) than he was away 3.53 (3.65). If he can learn to ride Redcar like he does Glasgow, it's a good signing!
  4. I agree Plymouth look weaker at reserve (although Trigger may be ok at home). But expect plenty of bonus points due to big home wins. Plus their strong top end will stop big defeats away.
  5. Can make my predictions now as no matter who Birmingham sign I'll have them down for last place. 1st Plymouth 2nd - 6th Redcar, Glasgow, Scunthorpe, Poole & Edinburgh 7th Berwick 8th Oxford 9th Birmingham I've lumped 2nd to 6th together as it makes no difference where the play-offs teams finish outside of 1st.
  6. Depends how "deep" you look for "strength in depth" if you go to second strings Berwick have a strong top 5, whereas Oxford only have a strong top 3!
  7. There's lots of strong looking teams & no team that I think will be well adrift, think we're in for a competitive season. Think Leicester will miss out on the top 4 though
  8. Not sure why you're surprised Pauldoveyspeedway the majority have Wolves bottom!
  9. Not necessarily, any loss I'm heats 13+15 can be countered in heats 12+14. That being said I think Lynn look solid from 1-6, so will have 2 good riders in every heat not involving their "RS" The team is built very similar to Peterborough's title winning team, so I expect them to do well.
  10. As it happens often, Ipswich should have realised & posted the news the minute it happened. Probably the only way to stop Poland announcing the news early!
  11. I've never understood that saying, I'd want my team to win every match in every competition. It'll be the same 14 riders as racing in the league match, so should be just as entertaining!
  12. Janusz Kolodziej has to be the most "deserving" rider not to be in the GPs. 2nd in the European Championship (behind world number 2 Madsen) & near the top of the Extraliga averages. I can only assume his age & nationality went against him! Isn't that discrimination?
  13. I disagree, some (like me) would prefer to see the top 15/16 riders in the world regardless it nationality/age etc.
  14. The problem with that is a rider could be knocked off & injured in his last ride (finishes 8th) and the guy who knocked him off (finishing 9th) gets his semi-final spot!
  15. If those 3 or 4 teams are very close together then the teams could be battling relegation & chasing play-off qualification at the same time!
  16. If the choice is between Heeps & Hume (my pick) for their last rider, would anyone look at Dillon Ruml or Broc Nicol instead?
  17. The comments I read suggested as well as Brennan (4.40) being in the team & Lidsey (5.16) at reserve, we'd also see King (8.05) at number one for Redcar not Riss (8.24)? So I assumed the British reduction rules were the same & couldn't think of a previous time team building averages weren't used for riding order!
  18. My thoughts indeed, means the club can just do the same thing again & again! I'm sure it wouldn't have harmed Kemp's relationship with the club if he politely pointed out they offered him a spot, but then picked someone else?
  19. I'd have King & Riss at 1+5. Shanes at 2. Wright 3 & Hume 4. Also like to see the weakest reserve at 7, especially as I think Edwards has the ability to beat opposition second strings riding at number 6.
  20. IOW team looks to be just below NL standard. Dropping a heat leader to run with, 2 heat leaders, 2 second strings & 2 reserves? Ben Morley (9.29) Henry Atkins (7.24) Rhys Naylor (4.52) George Congreave (4.50) Aaran Butcher (4.36) Wayne Parker (3.00) 32.91
  21. What happened whe Adam Roynon got injured in a pre-season GB event at Kings Lynn? Did he get SRBF money? Perhaps having the event at a UK track covered him?
  22. Not just racing in Poland, what about grasstrack, stockcars, flat track or Nora 92 meetings? I'm sure riders must have insurance for these meetings too?
  23. So what riding order do people expect to see in 2023?
  24. Does seen incredibly childish & unprofessional of the SCB to try & stop the Nora 92 league imo. Kinda wanna see what would happen if Plymouth & Kent called their bluff, would the SCB really want to let to clubs leave? Another point of view, what if the Kent & Plymouth stadium owners find out they are losing 4 matches (4 x rent) because of the SCB & asked the Speedway promotions to make up the loss?
