Agree with BluPanther, I much prefer individuals decided by the top scorer after 20 heats

I didn't see a lot of potential in them (apart from 1 good guest appearance) but if Glasgow wanted 4 heat leaders, 2 x 2.00 reserves was their only option. But I've been impressed with both of them this season. Scored more than I expected, well done to them. If I was Glasgow I'd start with both again*, expect the team to have to weaken (if the Champ stays the same) would would mean they can keep more of their top 5. *Unless Rushen could be signed that is.

Boughen's starting average was over 3 points above Perry's. So for Boughen to start at reserve, would have meant replacing Harris with a 6 point rider (roughly guessing averages). Any alternative for another top 5 rider would have been starting at reserve, not Boughen. Naturally fans will want to improve on a weak part of the team, Monarchs fans want a stronger top end (but that means no Grahn at reserve) but with a low points limit, it's not easy to do.

Heat 13 & 15 didn't surprise me, Edinburgh couldn't afford Glasgow's reserves to score the points they did, that's the decisive factor for me.

If Bowes has indeed "spat his dummy out" & refusing to ride for Workington, then should get a 28 day ban. Of course that's pointless at this stage of the season, so what's to stop any rider disappearing before the end of the season? Maybe ban could carry over to next season?

Fan of the sport, with money to burn? Probably more wise to treat it as a hobby, than expected to make money from it.

So many comments saying "another nail in the coffin" or "another track gone". They haven't closed yet, let's have some positivity please. Also think it doesn't help potential buyers when they read the comments. I'm probably more realistic / negative on here, where it's less likely to put people off lol! While I expect them to run, would a new promotion want to race in the cheaper second tier, if the leagues stay as they are?

I'm not so sure, I've seen many falls in the GPs when riders slide off with virtually no contact. I don't think that's down to lack of skill, probably wanting a re-run. Agree ref shouldn't have excluded Fricke, who did nothing wrong.

Personally I think was unnecessary, he was signed on a 2.00 average so no surprise he'll score 2 points (or less) in some matches. Obviously shows he has great belief in himself because he expects more of himself, but just hope he doesn't put too much pressure on his own shoulders. Maybe that's an issue with Poole, fans, riders & management all expect to win. Rides going to a team that generally struggles, probably won't have the same pressure on them?

I'd say it's a bit early to say riders have let you down when it mattered most, 26 point lead against Oxford & 14 point lead against Glasgow. Plus they don't need to win at Redcar, 43 points will do.

Can't understand these points, if Poole are as bad as you've made out, how did they finish 2nd in the qualifying league? Would a terrible team not be fighting Scunthorpe for the wooden spoon? Besides this team could still win the treble!

Shouldn't every club be trying to do that? I can't see Poole going for Jeppesen anyway as he has a high average now. They'll look for someone lower with potential to improve, i.e Morris.

Who would pay for the track covers, where would they store them, will clubs have enough volunteers to cover / uncover a track? It's a nice idea, but certainly not one where you can demand every track have covers.

Obviously there's two sides to every story, but if what Cami has said is 100% true, then he has every right to say what he did. He's not even repeating himself. The first report was a complaint about (some) Poole fans. The most recent is a complaint about the Poole management's reaction after he called out their fans actions. In general I can't understand any "fan" cheering a fallen rider, even more distasteful if they wish injury or worse on the rider.

But the league positions were decided by teams using guests too? I'm not a fan of play-offs, but that's nothing to do with the guest situation.

That makes no sense, why even offer to host the match if they wanted the 2nd leg at home (as is their right)? What would they have done of the weather was perfect.

Redcar will be using a guest all season, one week shouldn't make much difference to their team.

Can you explain what you mean? As far as I'm aware this isn't the first time in history a speedway meeting has been postponed!

I can't see how this is as tactical call-off. If Poole really wanted the second leg, they simply wouldn't have offered a date till they raced at Redcar first! Besides who would make the decision on whether a call off was necessary or not? What happens if multiple play-off matches were postponed, team in 4th could become champions without having to race!

If the meeting is called off early because of a forecast for rain, which doesn't then come, can't do much about it. Imagine the meeting was called off at 19:30 with Poole ignoring a forecast of rain, they'd get lynched on the forum especially, plus stadium rental / travel expenses etc.

Especially with some clubs having large gaps in the fixture lists. How would they ever cope with 2H & 2A?

I would think the other way would make more sense, fans may turn up to the BSN / KOC finals in greater numbers of they don't know if there's a play-offs final to come or not?

Should have got the BSN series finished months ago. It's normally the same teams in the later stages of competitions, so spreading the finals out makes sense to me.

Bowtell could still have gotten 7 rides while being taken out of a heat. So replacing him in 12 isn't particularly bad. But not giving him an extra ride in another heat is where the fault lies. If the TM didn't think he could find enough heats for Bowtell to get 7 rides, then could've dropped Lambert in 12 instead.

This is the sort of comment that always confuses me, so if Mountain had a poorer season you'd want him back, but as he improved you're not so keen? Zaine Kennedy - Zaine has progressed nicely this year and deffo has potential to grow into a heat leader. On an average just over 5 I would say he needs to snapped up for next year before someone else does. I think I would prefer Mountain to Zaine tbh. Zaine scored his points in the (on paper) easier reserve position (7) & top 5 position (2). For that reason I'd prefer Declan to Zaine, first season over here put into the (on paper) harder team spots (6 & 3) in theory if say he has more improvement in him than Zaine. If I was a Scunny fan I would be happy with all 3 back. Like you, struggling to see where a new number one will come from. But there could be some heat leader movement from clubs like Poole, Glasgow & Redcar. MPT (cheap average) Nick Morris (former scorpion on a cheap average) Dan Gilkes (providing injury is ok) Anders Rowe (may be a victim of the numbers at Poole) Anti Vuolas (seems to love the place but think a few clubs will want him). Agree all of these would be good singings if available.
