  1. Finished top of the league (but didn't win it) not long ago!
  2. Tbh protecting heat 8 is stupid, a strong number 7 like Greaves or Mountain gets a protected heat, while a weaker reserve like Lawlor or Woolley gets a heat against Morris & Covatti (Somerset) - imo the heat is only worth protecting if weakest rider has to be number 7!
  3. Call me "picky" but it's not the Championship League (CL) it's the Championship!
  4. Maybe 3rd strongest after Castagna & Lambert!
  5. I'd like to see Ben Morley get a Champ spot, on a 3.71 ave could be a decent reserve!
  6. Not true Ayers could have fitted in place of any rider!
  7. How about this team? Peterborough 1. Niels K Iversen 7.54 2. Chris Harris 6.01 3. Michael P Toft 6.30 4. Mikkel B Jensen 6.26 5. Rohan Tungate 6.59 6. Scott Nicholls 5.50 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 Total 42.20
  8. Brummies look to have a decent team this year, especially as you'll always have one strong reserve! Expect you to be in the top 6!
  9. Until it's official, all I can do I look for available riders!
  10. How about this team? 1. Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 2. Scott Nicholls 5.50 3. Rohan Tungate 6.59 4. Chris Harris 6.01 6. Niels K Iversen 7.54 6. Richie Worrall 5.09 7. Ulrich Ostergaard 4.00 Total 42.48
  11. But is Kurtz more likely than Auty to beat reserves away from home though?
  12. How about this team? 1. Brady Kurtz 7.54 2. Dan Bewley 6.15 3. Rohan Tungate 6.59 4. Charles Wright 6.51 5. Peter Kildemand 7.10 6. Jaimon Lidsey 5.16 7. Danny Ayres 3.36 Total 42.41
  13. There is no Premier League any more, I take it you mean the Premiership? If so, can't agree with your suggestion of their team strength!
  14. Looking at the averages, Sheffield could have fitted in Josh Auty at reserve instead of Todd Kurtz! As Auty is a track specialist at Owlerton, I'm surprised they haven't gone for him!
  15. I agree, Jonasson is a good signing on his ave!
  16. No, I'm saying Ledwith can't get a 2.00 ave due to an ave of 25 years ago, could've been 3.00 though! As Andrew Silver & Stuart Swales were assessed at 4.00 maybe that's their policy? As for the NL it seems if you need an assessed ave it's either 6.00, 3.50 or 2.00?
  17. Only at the start of the season, if Stewart keeps improving, he'd soon be a second string!
  18. Yeah BWD's average wouldn't be "bumped up" because he didn't ride Champ, it would be "converted" because he only rode Prem! A fairer way of explaining it!
  19. Ellis got an 8.00 ave for Birmingham but would sign on 7.80 with NL reduction, seems a good signing to me!
  20. I would've signed up Morley in a heartbeat, but not sure how he'd fit in with the other signed riders?
  21. There's no way Kent could have expected Ledwith to be on a 2.00 ave, as the rule was set that anyone who has previously averaged above 3.00 gets a minimum ave of 3.00! That is how William Lawson was on a 3.00 ave for Edinburgh at times last season when is actual average was below this!
