  1. I don't think a Speedway exam would do any good, I'm sure he could ride round safely in practice. But against two opponents in a grand final, every rider is going to race harder, go for gaps they normally wouldn't etc. The only crash I've seen was his one with Jody Scott, I'd have excluded Vinnie, but wouldn't call that dangerous riding. Not seen enough of him to comment on his other crashes.
  2. A journeyman? Kasprzak was a world number 2. If Boughen can have a career like KK did, he'll have done very well
  3. Track issues obviously caused that, Rickardsson had to be excluded, I think that's what he was saying to Nicki as he appeared to be pointing to the track. No point listening to Nicki screaming at him, I understand why he's upset, but Rickardsson didn't do it on purpose. I've not seen tonight's crashes, so can't comment of if any of the riders can blame the track for knocking off their opponents.
  4. Actually it's on FB I've seen more people against the Doyle inclusion, very disappointing tbh. Thought the majority of fans would want the best riders in the series, unlike the FIM we don't have to worry about viewing figures etc.
  5. Is that a bad thing though? If the current riders are better than the riders outside the series, why shouldn't they get back in?
  6. That's a lot better than the current system. Only downside is the likes of Doyle & Michelsen would miss out on 2025. Maybe plan wildcards before the GP Challenge, but only for riders who would have made the top 6 baring injury. So this year that would have been Doyle & Michelsen. Then bottom 8 meet top 8 qualifiers, with the top 6 qualifying for next year's GP? This idea also stops current GP riders having to enter the qualifiers, which I think is a good thing.
  7. But Wozniak outscored Kvech! So who decides who has "badly underperformed" & who hasn't? Personally I'm not a fan of that rule, GPs are supposed to be hard, it's supposed to be tough to qualify. Plenty of riders have dropped out & come back in stronger, Woffinden, Hampel, Laguta, Vaculik, Sayfutdinov for example (if my memory is correct).
  8. She got an SGP2 wildcard ahead of stronger compatriots. I'm sure if she got anywhere near GP level, she'd get a wild card.
  9. Can't disagree with anything you've said. Although I'm not bothered about them only having 2 Poles, as long as the alternatives were better riders than Janowski / Dudek / Kolodziej, which they clearly aren't. Their explanation of why Kvech was included was pretty embarrassing to say the least.
  10. Totally agree, even now seeing so many people apparently astonished that Doyle has been picked, how can they be that dumb?
  11. Doyle & Michelsen as they were in the top 6 before injury. Laguta & Sayfutdinov, because they were in the top 6 before being banned. Then Madsen with Janowski or Thorsell. Madsen wasn't far behind top 6, Janowski would have been closer had he completed in more rounds & Thorsell almost qualified from the GP Challenge. I don't think age or nationality should come into it.
  12. There have been many situations where Poland has gotten what they want & others have had to back down. But I don't think this is one of them.
  13. To be polite as I can, who cares what Poland think? They already agreed to host next year's GPs, so what if they only have 2 full time riders?
  14. I think he's a long way from Championship level. Clubs should be looking at NDL heat leaders for their reserve berths.
  15. Since I'm banned from Oxford's FB & can't see their match report, can someone tell me of it mentions heat 12? Plus does Schroeck comment on it, issue an apology for his mistake, or explain his decision making etc.
  16. From a purely business standpoint, that makes perfect sense. Why lose money on the NDL if you can just pick up promising riders anyway? Perhaps there should be some incentive for NDL teams, if clubs sign your riders, pay you a "training fee"?
  17. Agree, punching the air in delight would be away to annoy the home fans & far more professional than a rude gesture to antagonise them. Plus Thomsen should remember it's Speedway, he may get dropped by Poole & need a new club next year, would this put Oxford off using him?
  18. Look at this season's riders, if Poole had dropped Perry for Cairns, there wouldn't be many complaints, but if Foord got dropped for Cairns after putting 2 points on his average, would've been very unfair on Vinnie & could expect deserved backlash from fans. Best solution would be signing 2 x 2.00 riders & telling them the strongest rider won't get dropped. For sure if I was a 2.00 rider, Poole would be my last choice.
  19. I don't wonder why we have play- offs, I know why we do, I just disagree with them & think top of the league should be Champions. It's a shame if BSN / KOC meetings don't generate the same level of excitement as the play-offs. If fans, riders & clubs were desperate to win all these events equally, then you should get massive crowds for them all, not just the play-offs.
  20. If true that makes the decision not to replace him on heat 12 even worse. Schroeck should've replaced a fit Boughen with Killeen, but to leave an injured Boughen in for no reason - unfathomable.
  21. What if there were guidelines for the reserve rider selections? Basing it off achievements rather than age / nationality / sponsor etc. For example reserve riders would be: highest Extraliga average (Laguta / Kolodziej) next in line from qualifiers (Thorsell) next in line in GPs (Huckenbeck) Top scorer in SON (Huckenbeck) SGP2 winner (Przyjemski) next in line from SEC (Woryna) Obviously Huckenbeck, wasn't the top scorer in the SON, but everyone above him is already in the GPs.
