  1. Innocent or not, like I've said already it's sheer stupidity,
  2. If it's something like a Lemsip or Night Nurse that causes a rider to provide a non-negative sample I still find it strange that this would happen especially after all the publicity from recent events . These types of medications are can cause drowsiness, that's one of the reasons they are banned . Surely by now riders know what's on the banned list and I'm sure team bosses will have stressed to their riders to be careful about what they are taking . If it's something stronger the I've no sympathy for any rider who fall foul of the testing regime. They're bound to know that there's always a chance that they might get tested. In both scenarios it's sheer stupidity if you get caught,.
  3. Looking at my weather app , it's showing 94% chance of rain on Friday for Armadale
  4. Always good to start the season with a couple of wins
  5. A long term plan is only any good if they actually stick to it and don't scrap it after two seasons
  6. I thought that money from fines went to the Ben Fund
  7. I know that rules are rules, but surely they could have fined Bartock and warned him
  8. Depending on what shows up in the test , it's not illegal to drive if you have taken a lemsip or cough mixture
  9. Personally I felt Steve Boxall going straight into the pits without finishing the heat was far more disrespectful than a showman celebrating in front of his own supporters but I guess you're probably one of those people who doesn't like football players who celebrate scoring goals against their old clubs
  10. You deserve an award for that comment
  11. Yup , I traveled through to Glasgow last Sunday on the train to watch the cycling and it cost me less than the admission price for last weekends double header and that was before you take into account the cost of fuel to get to Berwick and back , money is tight for a lot of people these days and I'm sure Bandit fans aren't the only ones feeling the pinch
  12. I'd say that the majority of people aren't really that fussy about what happens away from home as these days not that many will travel to those matches, but they do want to see Berwick win at home or at least be competitive, turning up most weeks to see your team lose meekly is pretty demoralising no matter what sport you're watching. I have at times this season seriously debated weather or not to buy a ticket for meetings . I've bought one for tonight's meeting because I've nothing else on and tonight's TV ilooks poor , but I'd imagine this will probably be my last match this year
  13. Spot on , I said much the same to a friend at the Poole meeting, there's no way Peter would have produced a track like that against a team who are used to ridding on tracks with very little dirt on them
  14. I thought Tweedmouth Rangers played on Old Shielfield
  15. With the changes made to the Bandits septet this should be a decent meeting, hopefully the weather will play ball and there'll be a decent turn out and obviously a home win , 51-39 Berwick
  16. Hans has always been a favourite of mine , looking forward to seeing him in Black and Gold
  17. Hopefully he can , but it's changed days from when a British final has the likes of Havelock, Loram , Screen , Dugard & Louis or going back further Collins , Lee & Simmonds . Used to be a great event and a fantastic day out its a very poor shadow of itself nowadays, but it is what it's and we just have to make the best of it things aren't going to change any time soon
  18. The line up is just another example of how far the general standard of speedway in the UK had fallen , the days of star studded British finals are long gone unfortunately,. Back in the day this was a rung on the ladder towards qualification for the World Final , I can’t see anyone in the lineup who would challenge for a world title
  19. Rory withdrew from tonights meeting after two of his programmed heats
  20. Despite taking the lead, I never really believed we could win this one. We don't have the necessary firepower to win the big heats , too many points thrown away tonight
