  1. Good win for Lynn that was. 8 points down and home riders throwing points away whilst in good positions, they could have easily let their heads drop but they dug in and fought back well. Important result.
  2. Great effort from Dan paid 9. Main body of the side at such a difficult place to go and one of only two race winners from the away side. Good lad.
  3. I think Sheffield still look strong at the top end even without Tai unbelievably. The Holders and Pickering is more than enough top end strength. If Rowe has a solid season in the main body and consolidates his progress, and they end up with a stronger reserve at number 6 then Sheffield will be in the mix. It’ll be interesting to see what they end up doing.
  4. Yes I definitely do. Rowe and Flint have started very well but a lot will depend on their continued good form, but I think they’ve more than enough to cover Tai even R/R.
  5. Think that’s already been decided upon tbh. He’s already received an awful lot of help with his development and financial help to get him started. Looks a super talent for sure. And before your prickly friend from Norfolk pops up, it’s nobody’s business to be naming the club on here. The club and rider will announce when the time is right.
  6. I think this is a huge meeting for Kings Lynn I really do. And while you’re right it won’t be completely decisive, it’s the fact it’s at home to the one club they’re really competing with for a play off spot that makes this one really important. They’ll be playing catch up already if they lose this one. They could both get similar results against the others in the league be it defeats against the top three or victories against the bottom two, so results (and aggregate bonus) between the two of them could be crucial.
  7. This is huge for Lynn. Barring a huge injury crisis I think everyone accepts the top three places are taken care of, the final spot in all likelihood is between these two. You can’t afford to lose at home to the side you’re competing against for that play off spot. The form of a few Lynn riders currently makes this a dangerous fixture for them.
  8. I still don’t know why you’re all biting and giving him the oxygen he craves. Ignore him!!
  9. I don’t understand what they’d be hoping to achieve by this though? If they would have just said every team needs a rising star and compiled a list for them all to choose from, nobody would have batted an eyelid. Doesn’t make any sense.
  10. I’ve always liked Leicester as a track I have to be honest. Always seem to see some decent racing when Ipswich have been there the last few years.
  11. Of course it was it can’t be argued really although some will try. Let’s hope lightning doesn’t strike twice!
  12. They didn’t elect “not to replace him”, they tried everything but just couldn’t get anyone in. Anyone that argues against Ipswich being unlucky last year are not being truthful. It wasn’t just the top two either, every member of the septet had periods out of the side injured and a lot of them were riding through the pain barrier at the tail end of the season. It was a mental season.
  13. As you say, was always going to be tough at Ipswich and everyone else will likely struggle there also. But the Oxford team were a bit undercooked with Riss missing (he’d have been good for a decent points haul around a track he knows well) and then losing Kildermand didn’t help either. Ok, he may not have had a huge impact on the meeting, but running rider replacement for a team missing riders and struggling a bit is never ideal. The result wouldn’t have been in doubt, but there were definitely mitigating circumstances to the scale of the defeat.
  14. Mike has got this badly wrong I’m afraid. A successful team which thumps teams at home will always attract more supporters than turn them away. That’s the case with ANY sport actually.
  15. It will indeed Mike. Another very healthy crowd as I’m sure it will be again in two weeks time.
  16. @ouch Is clearly in charge of production at TNT 😁
  17. Sounds identical to what we’ve done at Ipswich over the winter. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing from an Ipswich perspective! We go there next week and it’s a track we go very well on. All the riders seem to score heavily there so it’ll be interesting to see if that changes things. Glad you have a live stream, will be tuning in and looking forward to seeing if the racing has improved due to the changes.
  18. Guy paid less than Sackers recycling did before him for a good few years. He couldn’t believe he got it for a “song”. That isn’t the case now but that’s only due to inflation and rising costs all around. The partner sponsors are very good at Ipswich. Collectively they help hugely.
  19. You’re way off I’m afraid and it’s coming across as very bitter. You’ve had the likes of Mike the Belle Vue fan predicting 30-60 away wins which is totally unrealistic likewise comments from fans of other clubs. All I’ve seen on this forum from Ipswich supporters is an acknowledgement that we are the favourites on paper (which we are there’s no getting away from it), but stopping short of saying we’re going to win everything. Only a fool would say that after last year and the nature of this sport.
  20. Let’s hope the Oxford boys bring their trapping gloves, that’s where the action will come from. If the Witches fly out of the traps it’ll be non existent. Let’s hope the Witches are sluggish from the tapes and put the new banking to the test.
  21. maybe Ipswich is bit different to others, but the attendances at Foxhall seem to be consistently good no matter the opposition/competition or whether a play off place has already been confirmed. They rarely if ever, seem to drop below a noticeable level. The only visible difference is a bigger than normal increase which occurs on Bank Holidays, and when the team is doing particularly well. I guess it helps when your team has two superstars leading the team who entertain no matter what the circumstances. Always worth the entrance fee.
  22. Enjoy the meeting, however if you’re expecting to see the Witches I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.. On your point about the fans getting bored and not attending due to thrashings every week, does that really happen in sport? In my experience the biggest attendances generally come when the team is successful so I’m not sure I agree with you.
  23. It really doesn’t work like that though does it? No two meetings are the same you could run all those meetings you’ve listed again next week and you’d get totally different results in all of them.
