  1. It’s a good job we didn’t build top heavy and went with a strength in depth approach 😁
  2. We’ll be lucky to get out of this one with a win and take it and run.
  3. He’s a consistently poor gater so needs a track to race on. This isn’t it.
  4. Track is abysmal. Similar to Oxford last week you literally have to turn the bike inside out and pin it on the white to get around. Emil trying a wide line and disappearing!
  5. Doyle and Emil a ride each and zero points between em lol. Collectors item
  6. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-birmingham-a/ BSN streaming this one.
  7. I’ll throw my hat in the ring to the “best rider never to win the world championship”. Dennis Sigalos. When Penhall retired he was THE biggest threat to the Danish dominance. beat Nielsen in the 82 British Open run off for the biggest financial pay out in history at the time. Was a world class field reminiscent of the world final. Topped the British averages just shy of 11.00 in 83 and had the world at his feet. A fantastic write up here of Siggy. A crying shame that ankle injury ended his career and of course, we’ll never know. In my childhood eyes in the early 80’s though, the 🐐 https://vojensspeedwaycenter.dk/en/speedway-legenderne-dennis-sigalos/
  8. You’re basing that on Ipswich getting to September injury free. Realistically what are the chances of that? Every single Ipswich rider had a spell on the sidelines injured last year, every one of them. To go from that, to not have one missing would be some turnaround. That’s why I’d never touch pre-season odds on any team. If you’re gonna have a friendly flutter, do it on a match by match basis.
  9. Ouch is the very definition of a forum Troll. There is no way he believes the stuff he writes I refuse to believe anyone is that stupid. It’s purely engagement farming and unfortunately it works because people keep biting and responding to him. The other one, is just clearly not very bright and I’ll leave it at that.
  10. Ahh yes of course, thank you I missed that. Should be a routine Ipswich win but you never know!
  11. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-oxford-a/ R/R for Kildemand. Think that’s just Wright and the two reserves who take his programmed rides. Gusts will be a busy boy I think.
  12. Good opening night crowd and a good atmosphere. People were certainly enjoying themselves. All the riders seem to get on really well and it seems a very happy camp which always helps. Confidence is high all the way through the side. Belle Vue were woeful mind you. Way off it.
  13. Was very noticeable around bends one and two and apparently bend three even more so but couldn’t really tell from where we stood. Louis explains what they’ve done here https://x.com/ipswichspeedway/status/1905277612299096223?s=61
  14. You’re probably facing them at the worst possible time. They’ll all feel a bit embarrassed by that humping at Foxhall and will have a point to prove. Lemon will insist on some sort of reaction so not an ideal time to face them I don’t think. Good luck though I’ll be rooting for a Stars win! 😉
  15. Tonight possibly GM because Doyle doesn’t quite look back on it yet. Otherwise I’d never back Kurtz to outscore Doyle at Foxhall. Kurtz outscored him three seasons ago but took an extra ride to do so. Since then hasn’t really got close. Would never back against Kurtz beating him here though because he’s probably the best visiting rider I’ve seen in recent years.

  17. You could say one or two of those look a bit conservative as well so it’s difficult to make a case for Belle Vue but who knows, early season and first meeting back at home can be unpredictable. Don’t think any of us predicted a win at Belle Vue on Monday let alone such a comfortable one. As I said at the start of this thread I’m always a bit reluctant to be over confident because you could end up looking daft and we all know who’d be on here after the meeting smashing the multi quote button 😁
  18. Not sure about the 16/20 point win shouts myself. I think Belle Vue will be smarting after Monday and determined to show that it was just early season gremlins and that there isn’t actually much between the two sides. Not sure they realistically believe they can go through, but they’ll want a fighting performance to prove a point.
  19. But home track advantage should negate that to a degree and be more of a leveller. I’m not saying he SHOULD be winning two out of three of their clashes, because I agree with you Jenkins is a better rider. But on your home track you should be hoping he’ll get the better of his opposite number more often than not. I’ve seen Mulford have some very good rides at the NSS and beat some good riders. Pretty sure he won a heat at Foxhall last year beating Doyle of all people? Then again my memory is absolutely terrible these days and I may have just made that up 😵‍💫
  20. I’d have thought so but who knows. Maybe he really doesn’t rate his own team Leicester 😁
  21. Maybe you’re hoping your rising star will be beating his opposite number two out of three times rather than the other way round on his home track. He’s done enough laps around there now although as you rightly say, Jenkins is a better rider so maybe a little harsh. Again you’re right, there’s nobody else in the Ipswich team he should be beating really.
