  1. You’re way off I’m afraid and it’s coming across as very bitter. You’ve had the likes of Mike the Belle Vue fan predicting 30-60 away wins which is totally unrealistic likewise comments from fans of other clubs. All I’ve seen on this forum from Ipswich supporters is an acknowledgement that we are the favourites on paper (which we are there’s no getting away from it), but stopping short of saying we’re going to win everything. Only a fool would say that after last year and the nature of this sport.
  2. Let’s hope the Oxford boys bring their trapping gloves, that’s where the action will come from. If the Witches fly out of the traps it’ll be non existent. Let’s hope the Witches are sluggish from the tapes and put the new banking to the test.
  3. maybe Ipswich is bit different to others, but the attendances at Foxhall seem to be consistently good no matter the opposition/competition or whether a play off place has already been confirmed. They rarely if ever, seem to drop below a noticeable level. The only visible difference is a bigger than normal increase which occurs on Bank Holidays, and when the team is doing particularly well. I guess it helps when your team has two superstars leading the team who entertain no matter what the circumstances. Always worth the entrance fee.
  4. Enjoy the meeting, however if you’re expecting to see the Witches I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.. On your point about the fans getting bored and not attending due to thrashings every week, does that really happen in sport? In my experience the biggest attendances generally come when the team is successful so I’m not sure I agree with you.
  5. It really doesn’t work like that though does it? No two meetings are the same you could run all those meetings you’ve listed again next week and you’d get totally different results in all of them.
  6. You’re right. Not until Belle Vue return anyway 😁
  7. Just stumbled across this https://ipswichwitches.co/video/ipswich-v-belle-vue-2019/ What a race this was! The race with Doyle, Emil, Holder and Musielak a couple of season’s ago sticks in the memory, but this tops it.
  8. He doesn’t believe a word of what he writes. He does it for sh!ts and giggles. The very definition of a forum Troll. Ignore him.
  9. With a full strength side I’d be very surprised to see us not hit 50+ for every home meeting, 60+ more often than not. Even Ellis and King are heavy Foxhall scorers.
  10. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-oxford-h/ Sedgmen in for Riss for Oxford.
  11. We’ll definitely lose a few away meetings, but the key is I don’t think we’ll lose any comfortably. Which obviously bodes well for aggregate bonus points, and two legged semis/finals. I expect us to be totally dominant at Foxhall all season long.
  12. 9 between the top two and still won. Belle Vue 10 between their top two at Foxhall and got absolutely battered. There’s strength all the way through this team which means the top two can have off nights like tonight and we’ll still be in the mix. Actually Brennan had an off night as well so the whole top three underperformed. The track had a lot to do with that really it was never suiting Emil in particular.
  13. Without question. They all did the track walk and studied each gate so it would have been discussed which they’d go for if they won the toss. They collectively got it wrong though.
  14. Gate 4 was a graveyard and yet he took a win and a second from there including one of the few genuine passes of the meeting. Superb performance. Him and Jenkins won us that meeting no doubt about it.
  15. It’s a good job we didn’t build top heavy and went with a strength in depth approach 😁
  16. We’ll be lucky to get out of this one with a win and take it and run.
  17. He’s a consistently poor gater so needs a track to race on. This isn’t it.
  18. Track is abysmal. Similar to Oxford last week you literally have to turn the bike inside out and pin it on the white to get around. Emil trying a wide line and disappearing!
  19. Doyle and Emil a ride each and zero points between em lol. Collectors item
  20. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-birmingham-a/ BSN streaming this one.
  21. I’ll throw my hat in the ring to the “best rider never to win the world championship”. Dennis Sigalos. When Penhall retired he was THE biggest threat to the Danish dominance. beat Nielsen in the 82 British Open run off for the biggest financial pay out in history at the time. Was a world class field reminiscent of the world final. Topped the British averages just shy of 11.00 in 83 and had the world at his feet. A fantastic write up here of Siggy. A crying shame that ankle injury ended his career and of course, we’ll never know. In my childhood eyes in the early 80’s though, the 🐐 https://vojensspeedwaycenter.dk/en/speedway-legenderne-dennis-sigalos/
  22. You’re basing that on Ipswich getting to September injury free. Realistically what are the chances of that? Every single Ipswich rider had a spell on the sidelines injured last year, every one of them. To go from that, to not have one missing would be some turnaround. That’s why I’d never touch pre-season odds on any team. If you’re gonna have a friendly flutter, do it on a match by match basis.
