  1. He’s been like that since he attempted to come back. Still sharp out the gate, but then it’s a desperate bid to hold on for 4 laps resulting in getting passed by most. So slow and tentative. Isn’t really a surprise reading his latest comments that he still isn’t right, and he doesn’t expect to get back to where he was before the season is completed. Fair play for his honesty, but again that begs the question why the promotion have failed to address this ongoing situation all season long as they simply must have known his situation also? It’s the sole reason we’re not in the play offs we’ve carried a 6 point man all year and we’ve lost tight meetings because of it. On Rew, think you can pencil him in for next year going by Hawkins’ comments.. I thought the effort Keynan put in at reserve was superb and if he can put everything like that into every meeting then next season you will really see him push on“
  2. “Another win at Lynn and I’m really proud of the boys and how determined they were. They stuck with it throughout the meeting and Lynn tried everything to get the better of us tonight and tried every trick in the book really as they have done all season, but we managed to get another win and I’m super proud of how they’ve been over the last six weeks or so. That is seven wins in eight to finish the league season and we look forward to the cup final next week now. “We should have been here two weeks ago and got the win already, but we were made to wait. It was a dubious decision with Breum who was withdrawn tonight, we all know what is going on, but nothing is going to be done about it. We had to stick with it, and we did, and we got the win. “The heat leaders did great and to be fair everyone scored and contributed. I thought the effort Keynan put in at reserve was superb and if he can put everything like that into every meeting then next season you will really see him push on and it could well be key for the cup final. “It looks like we might miss out on the play-offs by one or two points, and I definitely think that home defeat to Belle Vue was really costly, and we thought that at the time. “So many Ipswich fans here again and you know Ipswich are in town because wherever we go, we have massive crowds, and we have a tremendous following. I went to see quite a few of them after the meeting and thanked them and for anyone I didn’t see thank you for coming, we all appreciate it and I’m glad we sent you home happy.” https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-report-kings-lynn-44-46-ipswich-sports-insure-premiership-r2-a/
  3. Neither us or Leicester would beat Belle Vue in the semis so it matters little.
  4. Riss has been the killer. Rew been disappointing but could have carried him to an extent, but carrying two is a step too far.
  5. when you posted he was on paid 9 from 4 unless updates is wrong? I was following this thread and the updates at the same time. When you posted, Rew was on paid 9. It really doesn’t matter don’t get all stressy about it lol.
  6. Yep. Not sure it matters anyway, we’d get duffed up be Belle Vue in the semis. You can’t carry a rider through illness and expect to win a title. Riss showed a few glimpses of doing better but has gone backwards again last few weeks and is really struggling again. Failure to replace him has/will cost us unfortunately.
  7. Those quotes are from Hawkins, not Louis. And Hawkins is right by the way!
  8. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-kings-lynn-sports-insure-premiership-r2-a/ Looking at those line ups, simply HAS to be an away win. Will then all depend on whether Leicester can win at either Wolves or Peterborough.
  9. Sorry to see Wolves’ plight and I echo others in keeping fingers crossed they can come back in 2025. But balls to wanting them to win it! (Unless we don’t make it then I’ll be rooting for them).
  10. You have to wonder why he’s here really. I mean he’s clearly not as bad as he’s showing over here so how much effort is actually going in?
  11. Don’t think we’re bothered as we’ve brought Boughen in for Hume and giving him another ride. Job is done
  12. We only lost at Belle Vue by 8 last time out with an out of sorts Riss scoring 1 from 4 rides and Doyle scoring 5 from effectively two rides. The problems with Riss will likely remain but you’d expect a much better return from Doyle. Again though every meeting is different, you could ride the same meeting at the same track every day for one week and get a different result every time. Belle Vue will start as obvious favourites whoever they face simply because they have a very good team who all go brilliantly around their home track. They’re not clear leaders for nothing.
  13. But one it seems they had to make. “Commitment issues” clearly aimed at Ellis, and going by his last outing I guess they had no choice but to make changes.
  14. We did, but even with our weak bottom end I’m not sure we’ll see paid 28 from the Lynn reserves again! They scored paid 11 between them when we won comfortably there a couple of weeks ago, even having the luxury of not putting Emil in heat 15 either. Every meeting is different though and it all depends on what the sides look like regarding personnel on the day.
  15. As others have said, this was always down as a 3 point home win and changes nothing. Leicester won’t be winning at Wolves or the new Peterborough side, so they’re now relying on Lynn to do them a favour and beat Ipswich at home.
  16. Then use R/R. Or slacken the rules slightly and allow two team changes whilst replacing an injured rider for a little more wiggle room. Even last years rules were better in not allowing changes once the league was under way except for a brief mid season window. Nothing will ever be perfect but it’s better than an end of season transfer frenzy just before the play offs by desperate promoters trying everything they can to gain some sort of advantage. Surely you want your team in the play offs to at least look something like the side that’s spent all year getting you there?
  17. You as well? Think loads of us bombarded him with tweets the last few weeks telling him to sign him up
  18. Will be interesting to see how Ashton Boughen tackles the showground. Will this be on Radio Cambridgeshire?
  19. Because you’re one of those involved in the Hokey Cokey?
