Interesting as it was definitely Joe Thompson down to ride yesterday. They want Jack for Belle Vue Monday, so is there yet another rule hidden somewhere that we have to use the same rising star for both meetings??

Very true. Things were pretty basic back in the day and there wasn’t much choice in anything really.

It wasn’t speedy, they posted that tweet on the Friday, showing the pictures of the track on the afternoon of race day a few hours before the meeting. Still don’t know how they got that meeting on! And unless my memory is playing tricks, the track rode superbly that evening.

He did have a disappointing season with us, but to be honest since then he’s been a thorn in our side and ridden Foxhall superbly! This season 12+2 dropping one point to Doyle from his completed rides, last season when he visited three times with Peterborough, he scored 11+1, 14+1 and 14+1 again. Pretty impressive!

You’d hope so yes, but the problem is that the current owner would have to give that signal to the BSPL of their intention to run and to hold fire, and he’s the one currently saying it’s over.

Problem Peterborough have is even if things are going on behind the scenes, the clock is already ticking. Don’t you have to confirm your intention to run, around about now? Meetings will have already taken place regarding league structures etc and Peterborough currently won’t be in a position to guarantee anything.

You’re correct of course, but if Louis wants Rew back at Ipswich next year then I can’t see any scenario where he forces a move elsewhere. Belle Vue do like Rew though and I’m sure they’d be interested. The NSS would suit him as a home track actually and I could see him moving through the gears if he went there next year.

It’s not speedway though is it. I personally wouldn’t cross the road to watch any four wheeled motorsport even if it were free.
