Leicester vs Ippo KoC QF 2nd Leg 17/04/23

It’s the Pussycats I think! A fit Riss makes a difference to this side also. To still win with R/R struggling to cover for him is very positive. -

Watched that a couple of times now and not sure what to make of that to be honest.. -

Good management that. Had another poor night up to that but giving him as many opportunities as possible to get a confidence boost and he got just that in 15 beating a strong home pair. Fingers crossed gives him a spring in his step going in to Thursday against Sheffield. Looks like we just had far too much top end strength for Leicester to handle. Again only 3 from R/R so we’re going to need a fit Riss back sharpish going forward as the reserves continue to struggle. Expected more from those two around Leicester especially. -
Just you all it says is Shrimp has come out of retirement and takes over as the Witches rising star

Ipswich v Belle Vue 13th April

Well you’d hope he would. He was over 4 last year so if there’s any improvement in him he’ll need to be pushing 5. -

Patience is wearing thin in certain quarters I know that much (recent seasons, not recent weeks)and Louis to me sounded under pressure in a few of his pre-season interviews. If it isn’t going well he’ll change it around, of that there’s no doubt. Ipswich have been backed very well by several loyal sponsors, and they’re craving success as much as the fans are. -

It’s Rew who is the key rider here. The difference between challenging or not, he’s that important. He clearly has something about him but we’ll need to see more from him as the season progresses. We have one of if not THE weakest reserve pairings in the league, we can’t afford a bottom two to become a bottom three if we have aspirations of lifting the pot at the end of the season. Im confident he’ll prove to be a useful rider in the top 5 but it may take a bit of time. -

We were always going to be a slow burner this year, it’s been said many times pre-season it’ll be a team that gets stronger as the season progresses. It’s also a team that is built in a way that R/R for a rider like Riss is going to leave us vulnerable. Hume having to take 6 rides obviously isn’t ideal especially when Rew in the main body is also still finding his feet. Not excuses, just reasons not to be concerned at this stage. -

I wasn’t. Didn’t buy in to the nonsense pre meeting. The way Ipswich are built you can’t miss a solid middle order rider when you have a tail like Ipswich have. R/R is a tall order. I still thought we might win the meeting mind you but it wasn’t to be. Despite early season wobbles Belle Vue are a good side which everyone said they were. They’ll have riders that will improve even more than they showed tonight. Play off certainties. -

Riss suffering from brain fog and dizziness. Don’t know how long he’ll be out for. Starting to rain.. -

Not sure I go along with most Belle Vue fans playing down their chances here. Yes they’ve started slowly, but they’re a good side who most tipped to challenge Sheffield again for the title. Hume has started slowly in both leagues and he’ll have to take two of Riss’ rides, so it’ll be tight. Witches by 6. -

Don’t think we’ll hit 50+ against anyone anytime soon, not at least until Rew gets to grips with tracks here. We’ve won both meetings so far 48-42 and that score looks about right either in victory, or defeat. The bottom three have scored 7 and 10 between them in the two meetings and will be the obvious area other teams will target. On the flip side, a top end of Doyle Emil King and Riss will score enough between them even in away meetings to not get on the end of a hiding. I’ll go for another 48-42! -
https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-belle-vue-premiership-r1-h/ R/R for Riss, not sure where though. The line ups have R/R at 2 which is the traditional place to have it, although in the story it says R/R will be utilized at number 4.

Peterborough Panthers 2023
Arch Stanton replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fairy Nuff didn’t see yesterdays update. That would make Peterborough a different proposition altogether. Think we’ve stolen an advantage over others here getting the win before the changes, because nobody else will be winning at the Showground. Tungate maybe ropey on some away tracks, but he’s very good around Peterborough. Louis will be delighted, the loan fee will help pay some of Emil’s wages -

I know, Lindgren 9.29 Tungate 6.61 Basso 6.81 Andersen 4.93 Iversen 7.59 Cook 4.06 Total: 39.29. Doesn’t fit. -

Doesn’t fit does it? Lindgren’s last GSA was 9.29 in 2017, Tungate is 6.61. That would make Peterborough’s re declaration 39.29 for the six -
Riss missing for Redcar today through illness so that will explain his performance last night.

Perhaps he is more than justified? Always more than meets the eye in decisions that are made like this. -

Mate you’re way off here. Buster has bailed you out more than once in recent years, and even built you a title winning side the year before last. The disrespect he gets on here from some of you Panthers fans is staggering. Be careful what you wish for springs to mind here. -
We won on both visits there last year. But I agree, winning there is not for everybody
-
Yeah you definitely can. Just because of the quirk of averages has him lower than a few, he’s definitely one of Lynn’s top 3. Palm toft averaged 6.05 over last season, Pickering 6.82. Current GSA’s don’t give a true reflection of status in the team, just like Jakobsen isn’t a reserve either.

Woeful from the top 3 of Klindt, KK and Pickering so far.

Spot on. Iversen was interviewed before the meeting and said they’d be practicing that afternoon, nobody obviously saw a problem then.
