  1. Has looked pretty ropey at Foxhall to be fair, but he’s a young rider who is improving all the time. No doubt he’s a better rider now than the one that last came to Foxhall in 2021. He’ll be an obvious threat but Masters will still be the biggest threat at Foxhall for me as an away rider. Loves Foxhall and lowered Doyle’s colours twice in one meeting last year.
  2. Wouldn’t be a like for like as Doyle would be impossible to replace so would have to be a few changes to completely restructure the team in our case.
  3. Think I’ve added more to the ignore list last few months than I ever have. Is it me or does there seem to be a lot more short tempered and prickly people around this winter than usual? Season can’t come quick enough!
  4. Wouldn’t rule it out at all, although Pedersen himself may take a bit of time to hit top gear also after his injury.
  5. The best time to catch us (Ipswich) will be early doors. Riss delayed his surgery on his ACL until the new year so he could go on holiday, will he be 100% fit? Footballers can take over a year recovery time from an ACL and although sitting on a bike is nowhere the same as running around a football pitch, you still wouldn’t wanna fall off and land on it would ya. Rew is coming back from a broken bone in his neck and back, hasn’t ridden any of the tracks and if he’s stuck at 2, will come up against Doyle Pedersen and Andersen in his first heat here so it’ll be tough to put it mildly. Then you’ve got Emil who has been out of action for a year and may take a few meetings to get in to top gear. We might just get caught cold first few meetings and if we do we shouldn’t hit the panic button. The team will undoubtedly get stronger as the weeks and months tick by.
  6. Bit blurry, but that’s front cover of this weeks Star. Worth a pick up
  7. I thought that initially, but from the admittedly few clips I’ve seen of Rew, he looks a carbon copy style wise as King. Both favour the outside line so would it make sense to pair them up if they’re both gonna target the same bit of track? Where as Riss is more a white liner so could make a good pair with either King or Rew. Think Hawkins will play around with riding order again anyway. Wouldn’t be surprised to see King at 5 with Emil at 3 or 4 in some meetings.
  8. This argument has been trotted out time and again over the last year or two. The GP’s, Poland, Timbuktu are all completely irrelevant to what happens here. He was more dominant here last season than he’s ever been hence his 10 And a half point average! He was literally head and shoulders above everybody. Bewley out performed him in the GP’s last season and will be the closest to him here no doubt, but I’ll wager he won’t topple Doyle in the averages here at the end of the season. This time last year there were people on here who like you’re doing now, were saying Doyle would be demoted to 4th best Aussie as Fricke, Kurtz and Holder would all overtake him. They all finished miles off!
  9. You’re right, and exactly as it should be. The only reason they originally tried to bring the leagues closer together was to introduce promotion/relegation which let’s be honest, was never going to work.
  10. Hugely positive step forward. A long time coming mind! Hopefully will eradicate at best the bending of the rules, and at worst blatant cheating.. simplifying the rule book is something that’s been needed for some time, no grey areas, just black and white so everybody can fully understand them.
  11. I thought that as well mate but on the flip side, the new fella in the second part of the press release was more positive and upbeat about the future.
  12. https://ipswichwitches.co/2023-signing-danyon-hume/ Team complete finally. 3.07 average confirmed.
  13. It was originally thought he would be a 4, and in the “riders” section of the official website they also had him down as a 4. They’ve now changed it to 5 and Presenter has also confirmed the assessed 5. I think it makes little difference as I think Hume has always been pencilled in to fill the last spot if we signed Emil. In an ideal world you’d want Rew starting at reserve whilst he settles in, but out of the two I think it’s better that Hume will start at reserve and Rew in the main body so it’s worked out ok.
  14. Wolves haven’t got a prayer of top 4 for me as things stand. They’re going to have to strengthen up. Currently I also have them bottom.
  15. Doyle V Pedersen heat 1 in a little over three weeks
  16. Beat me to it. It’s not in Poland’s best interest to block it either. The bloke has been out of action for a year and hasn’t got GP fixtures or any other fixture in another league. They’ll want him sharp for the Polish season.
  17. I don’t normally get involved with these because I’ll give it 3 weeks in to the season before someone makes changes! But purely on the teams that start and assuming Pedersen is in at Peterborough, Ipswich, Sheffield, Lynn and Peterborough top 4 not necessarily in that order. Only team I can’t see troubling the play off places as it stands is Wolves.

Doesn’t seem to be any issues going by those comments.
