  1. In 1989 there were 18 teams in the League yet Cup Final was done and dusted by 16th September. Poole had the first leg on the 12th and we finished the job on 16th. plus in them days you had qualifying rounds for the 4's and other stuff
  2. Knudsen has been a bonus for us in a disappointing season
  3. as i have said for a long time bonnie lass it should be like football and have designated dates for KO Cup rounds. Prelims April, 1/4 Finals May / June, Semi's Jun / July, Final July/August
  4. Knudsens official average from Sept 1st is 5.00
  5. Right bonnie lass he rode for Wolverhampton on Monday which meant a nice 3 1/2 hour drive to Plymouth on Tuesday, he was also at Birmingham on Wednesday for the Under 21 Championship which is why he probably accepted a guest booking for Redcar.
  6. 8 teams in the League and looks like the playoffs will be in October ridiculous.
  7. Mildenhall will finish their league fixtures today with a double header against Berwick & Plymouth could be a long day
  8. Berwick are at Leicester on the 10th
  9. probably bought fewer tyres due to inflation
  10. oh for the days of tyres doing 6 meetings when the hacksaw was an important piece of equipment lol
  11. I was at Scunny last week with Berwick. They gave the track a good grade after Heat 3 as racing stopped for the sun and that was that for the whole meeting. The racing was decent and no dust
  12. Scunny website saying they are using R/R for Tero tonight. Probably waiting to see how tonight goes before making a decision for tomorrow night's line-up.
  13. both on 6.59 i think as Jake had the higher average at the start of the season he becomes 2nd in averages
  14. Lawson guests for Scunthorpe tonight with r/r for Aarnio
  15. Redcar still have an away fixture at Plymouth I thought they still had a home meeting left where they could only get a maximum 3pts
  16. If Scunthorpe lose at Redcar 48-42 both teams would have 26pts a 7pt + win for Scunny at Berwick would get them a playoff spot.
  17. Berwick finish off their league campaign as they welcome the Scunthorpe Scorpion. For the Bandits nothing at stake apart from finishing with a home win to make it 2 home wins in a row. Scunthorpe on the other hand will be desperate for points as they are still in the mix for a playoff spot. With Bomber and Leon representing Great Britain in Euro Pairs in Denmark, Bandits have brought in Richard Lawson & Kasper Andersen as guests with Greg Blair replacing the injured Nathan Stoneman at reserve. Bandits also welcome back Jonas Knudsen whose visa problems are now sorted. Scorpions will be hoping that Ryan Douglas is fit after his painful crash at Poole on Wednesday night. Berwick to finish off with a 50-40 win.
  18. I remember when this meeting used to be held at Wimbledon. Best dressed bus, Miss National League Speedway, Berwick riders winning it in 1980 & 1983. In the words of Mary Hopkins, Those were the days.
