  1. Glasgow were probably a lot stronger in 2016. When they hammered us last season they had a very strong top 4 with Rene Bach & Worrall both getting maximums that night. A win for Berwick by any score would be a start to rescuing a poor start to 2017.
  2. kasper lykke scored 4pts from 2 meetings at Berwick last season so would not strengthen the team in any way at home if changes were made
  3. Always disappointing to lose at home no matter who the opposition is. Think we all knew Wells & Masters would score heavily but Mark Riss has improved massively from 2016 and Pickering what can you say superb for his 1st time on our track. Still early days but with lots of tough fixtures coming up we need to improve sooner rather than later. Was good to see another healthy crowd and some decent racing with Bridger's 3rd to 1st race outstanding.
  4. Only riders available with a 2pt average for tonight are Tom Bacon Peterborough, Josh BaileyScunthorpe, & Mountain & Hume from Ipswich
  5. averages m8 plus lot of meetings on tonight so it was always going to be difficult finding a replacement.
  6. Bandits L Bridger L Carr D Berge C Vissing K Doolan D Gappmaier R Blacklock Monarchs S Masters J Pickering E Riss M Clegg R Wells M Riss M Davey Berwick will be looking to bounce back following heavy defeat at Sheffield, and to be honest looks a home win for me. Masters, Wells & Riss will be amongst the points but I can't see their lower order doing much damage. Hopefully Blacklock will be fit to take his place as he had to withdraw from last nights meeting at Sheffield. 3 much needed points for the Bandits 50-40.
  7. Lewis had a superb meeting at Newcastle beating both Lambert and Worrall on the night
  8. Think we {Berwick} are going to have to rely on our home form to keep us in with a chance of playoffs, apart from possibly Scunthorpe away wins are going to be very difficult this season. No excuses though well done to Sheffield.
  9. stadium parking £4 secure parking £2 was cheaper a few years ago, look after your car for a £1 mister :D
  10. which include Danny King winning his tactical ride. So in theory it was 60-30 can the mighty bandits force a replay
  11. Think the main thing is to get a home win just to get a bit confidence back especially with difficult away meetings coming up against Sheffield & Newcastle in the next week.
  12. Reading reports on updates we were fortunate to score 30, well-done Ipswich
  13. Come on Sarah be positive forget the years of watching Rye House your back in Bandit land :D I think it's going to go down to the wire with us bonny bandits edging it.
  14. Going to be an interesting cup tie main thing is all the boys have safe meetings
  15. Think Carr, Berge, Blacklock & guest Richard Hall will easily outscore the 4mentioned in above post at Berwick
  16. And at sunny Berwick King 13 Sarjeant 3 Covatti 6 Heeps 2 Schlein 9 Mountain 1 Hume 1 Berwick win 92-88 on aggregate
  17. I would be quite happy if Berwick can keep it to 12-14 pt. deficit. King and Rory will probably score points at Berwick but most of the lower order will possibly struggle. Berwick to sneak through on aggregate by a couple of points.
  18. As already mentioned regarding presenters give them a chance, it's different to what we have had over the years so will take time to get used to. I was at the 4's weekend last season and Roy was superb and this was over 2 days having to keep people informed and entertained which he did. New promotion are trying different things to improve entertainment on a Saturday night give it time.
  19. Berwick v Newcastle meeting finished at 8-30pm which left a good hour for the youngsters to get valuable track time.
  20. lovely weather here in Berwick they are even leaving stadium roof open. Hoping for a nice Bandits win and both sets of riders to have a safe meeting.
  21. Would say there was a lot more at Berwick than their was at the New national stadium at Glasgow 😄😄 1200 was the figure getting mentioned at Ben Fund Meeting so Berwick had to be near the 2000 mark.
  22. Or start meeting a bit earlier and have 2 groups of 5 over 15 Heats, giving each rider 3 rides each then 16 heat final with winners and runners-up
  23. really enjoyed last year's weekend but losing 3 teams from the league hasn't helped
