  1. Thought as Berwick are the senior club we would have had Somerset on our normal racenight
  2. Only thing about dropping into NL is losing fixtures against teams that generate our biggest crowds.Glasgow,Edinburgh,Newcastle,Workington.
  3. Somerset on a hectic schedule Workington Newcastle and Berwick
  4. Think we have more to worry about at the moment than assets. However looking at that list would be happy to have Bellego, a fully fit Seb, Liam and Daniel in fingers crossed our 2017 team.
  5. Over 2 legs provided we get past Rye House we could beat Newcastle if all our riders ride to their capabilities. Looking at score from Brough Park we were only 4pts down after heat 12 and that was when TJ was struggling in the number 1 position plus we had Henning Bager in the line-up. With what's going on behind the scenes with the club at the moment think us fans need to stay positive.
  6. Everything was looking rosy in June, good couple of away results looking good for a possible playoff place GUEST facility for the unfortunate Seb which was working well. Fast forward to today out of the playoffs, KO Cup only chance to win some silverware then the news that the consortium have resigned. Looks like another worrying winter for the Bandits faithful.
  7. Looking at Accuweather.com thunder storm due around 3-00pm when football kicks off another one due around 6-00pm just have to hope for the best. Last thing a promoter needs is Somerset to be a rain off.
  8. Definitely did not help Berwick or any other Saturday night tracks having 3 blank Saturdays in July. Obviously we won't have the World Cup to contend with next season just needs the fixture planners to maybe put 4's weekend to another month.
  9. Win for Berwick here we have the stronger reserves can only see Cook and Oestergaard scoring heavily for them. 50-40 to the Bandits
  10. Saw Etheridge in Stars of Tomorrow meeting at Berwick and he rode well beating Bewley during the meeting
  11. 3 home defeats have probably caused Berwick to miss out on playoffs, if I was a betting man Somerset or Glasgow to win it.
  12. 52-38 should be enough to get us throught o a semi-final with Newcastle.
  13. Think your right Taffy playoff place looks doomed 5 defeats in a row doesn't help.
  14. Would love to see Berwick get something out of this meeting just to stop the run of defeats we are having. Doolan had a brill meeting guesting for Plymouth a few months ago but his form has dipped a bit lately. Gaapmaier and Stachrya could find the small track a bit difficult as it will be there 1st time on it. Looking at last season's result apart from Kevin, TJ is the only survivor from the team that got well beat and he scored 3pts. Bandits head says 45-45 Reality head says 50-40 safe meeting to all 14 riders.
  15. With our playoff hopes slowly diminishing we are now relying on a good cup run to keep the season going. Over 2 legs we are quite capable of getting through this tie taking into account the fact we have already drawn at Rye House this season, albeit with 2 good guests on the day in Michael Palm Toft & Luke Bowen. This will be the teams 3rd fixture in as many days, so hopefully all the boys will be fit and we can build up a good points advantage to take to Rye House at the end of the month.
  16. Looking at League Table think a playoff place might be off the agenda with so many teams below us having matches in hand over us. Ipswich 3,Rye House 6, Workington 7, Newcastle 9,all very capable of going above us. So that leaves the KO Cup to keep our season going, on paper and after an excellent draw at Rye House already in the league we should fancy our chances of progress but we all know what happened last season. In the past Berwick were always a good cup team time to get that mentality back.
  17. Also saw Shuttleworth at Berwick and was also very impressed
  18. Spoke to a few Glasgow fans at Wetherby services last night and they were of the opinion travelling support would be well down compared to a Saturday meeting. A few Berwick fans I know are also missing this meeting due to work commitments, holidays etc. Berwick had a blank Saturday on May 21st but filled it with a behind close doors practice, when maybe they could have had Glasgow that night or Workington in the Border Trophy as at the time Comets had no fixture that night and eventually put together a pairs meeting. Sadly won't make the meeting myself on Wednesday so wish both teams a safe meeting also good luck to our new signing Dawid Stachyra
  19. Used to get big crowds at Shielfield when we rode on a Sunday afternoon. Can remember an inter-league 4 team meeting absolutely massive crowd.
