  1. Was thinking exactly the same, I thought we held the crown for cock-ups but this one beggars belief, astounding decision.
  2. Keep defending the indefensible, you may end up believing yourself. Pedersen was guilty of a dirty move, quite rightly excluded.
  3. Easy to make such statements from behind a keyboard. Would you honestly call him a bell end to his face?
  4. Me too, makes a big difference having a programme to fill in, the on-screen graphics disappear to fast for me, I like to study the permutations as the meeting unfolds, all part of the evenings entertainment. Thanks Paul, much appreciated.
  5. No mate, it was for the official feed apparently, something like that anyway, perhaps the down under broadcasts. Since you mention, 5 Live have given it a fair bit of plugging over the last 24hrs, more so than I've noticed for previous GPs, perhaps it's down to Fletcher's influence. You mentioned the earphone you were given, did everyone who bought a programme get them? If so that's pretty decent, did you find it distracting during the racing?
  6. No worries, does he not get carried away like shouty & co then? He does tend to do so when commentating on football, decent anchor though.
  7. It was Darren Fletcher, 5live presenter, speedway fan by all accounts. Yes but where do you live?
  8. Whatever happens here it's been a great meeting, really entertaining stuff, well done whoever laid the track. Gate 4 won 4 of the last 5 races so far
  9. Seven wins off gate 2 so far, admittedly most were early in the meeting, 5 off gate 4 and it's been more productive in the latter half of the meeting. Gutted Vaculik missed out, really taken a shine to him, definitely one for the future. Going for Gollob now, tracks just right for him to wind it on. Ah well, great race anyway, well done Lindback.
  10. I've taken Vaculik e/w, just seen his interview and he's full of confidence, he seems to have genuine star quality already. Also had a small wager on Nicholls to make the final.
  11. Well I was really thinking about savings at my end. It's easier on the eye for me as it happens.
  12. Thanks as ever for the racecard MP, noted the subtle colour changes, will they represent a reduction in printing costs do you think?
  13. Well I reckon he would, Pedersen didn't just shut off, he had a good look at what was behind him, had plenty of time as he'd built enough of a lead in the race, there was not much chance of a pile up there. If changes are not made to the rule then it will lead to lesser skilled riders trying to do it and there could be carnage. Either way that one moment in time spoiled the memory of a good weeks speedway, it exposed the sport for the farce it is becoming.
  14. Nail on the head mate. After what we'd been served up this week I was full of expectation for a great final, considering the weather they'd had I was just glad that the meeting went ahead, the racing was ok, the result was in doubt well into the 2nd half of the meeting. For me that was enough, whatever happened after that was not going to spoil a great week of speedway. Wrong, my heart sank when Pedersen made that move, not blaming him either, he may well have been acting on team instructions, maybe not, it doesn't really matter, it's the fact that, within the rules, he was allowed to do it. I usually like the way that Pedersen livens up some meetings with his antics but this time it's not down to him, I firmly believe the Aussies would have done exactly the same thing if roles were reversed, or even the Brits if we were ever in a position to do so. Ruined the memory of the week like you say, great shame. Here's hoping it never has the chance to be repeated, won't hold my breath tho.
  15. Get real big fella, you know full well what his actions depicted, a spoilt brat who couldn't keep a grip on his disappointment. I love watching him ride but his attitude stinks.
  16. Come on you can't defend that, he was petulant and didn't set a good example to anyone, if the camera had been closer he would have gobbed all over it no danger.
  17. Come on do you reckon Crump wouldn't have done the same, or any other rider savvy enough? I don't like it but thems the rules, needs changing.
  18. Not so easy to amnipulate but if anyone can crump can.
  19. Agreed, very mature when interviewed, good rider to watch too, different style.
