  1. I'd say the reason why they didn't sign Carr wasn't finance as Buxton can't pay big bucks. Probably more to do with the fact that Berwick is a Saturday track and so is Stoke and Berwick seem to be working on his development which is good to see. A weekday track may be a problem with, any mon - fri commitments and travel so a Sunday or Friday night track Possibly Cov Buxton or Mildenhall and then you have the numbers fitting. I'd say it would be a good idea if the reason was published unless Carr doesn't want it widely known the reason why as the question has risen over and over again.
  2. Although I do think that Kent should have complained through some more formal channels rather than on here with talk of photo's and injuries etc. It is easy to get roped in but I hope it's a lesson learned
  3. Sorry Nikko it's only a bit of harmless fun. The boys were ok in the end which is the main thing and had that been any different then I'm sure fun would have been curtailed. Lets face it it's not often fun and the BSF are mentioned in the same sentence even the Tony Millard appreciation society has turned nasty and that got off to a blinding start. I apologise for my part anyway. As Buxton, and many other teams, you are only trying to do your best with what you have. All the best for the rest of the season
  4. I haven't got the money to fund a track or a team so I can't comment on how promoters run their business. I'd like to think they run it as well as they can and work with what they've got in the most effective way possible and on that they are struggling. If they aren't then it's only them to blame if it fails
  5. Sorry to be pedantic but you can't be semi- impartial... My apologies on the Mike Lee quote I missed the quotation marks. Again you would agree with Lee as you are a Mildenhall supporter. I'm not going to get into an argument with you as last time I did all your mates chipped in (No pun intended) when we discussed BV being your most hated track and you happened to be there as the visiting team managers's guest. Isn't Moustache Adam's dad and Rum old bird his mum? 'Poor' and 'downright dangerous' Maybe the same to you but you need to research the meaning of the 2 terms and if anything will spoil Dean Felton's attempts at raising for a fence then it is going to be reviews like yesterday then there will be no Buxton then you might be happy. I'm sure Jayne will take it on the chin as she usually does. !!!!!!!!
  6. I'm glad you've cleared that one up. I thought they were caused by sour grapes.......
  7. Good to see they have all made remarkably speedy recoveries.:-) Could the chips at Buxton have healing properties.
  8. Graverson, after protesting to the ref, was told he was to look for red lights not flags.
  9. I'm not sure they want to as RR gives opportunity for more heats for existing riders which means more racing and more earning potential.
  10. That sounds like a plan . That happens in the NL but is the PL a step up too far?.
  11. Do none of you read the speedway star ? Wright was interviewed and said he wouldn't be signing for a PL club this year as he wouldn't be able to give 100%. He would do some guest bookings and then he would re look at it next year.
  12. This argument comes up all the time. It's good for these lads to be in this league Wright, Blackbird, Boxall otherwise when they do get to the next league it's a too bigger step the lads know what they are aiming for and they are all there to be beaten. If they can't beat the likes of them in this league then they are going to find the PL tough.
  13. Point taken and accepted. It just seems if riders particularly the brit ones have 1 too many injuries and should be thrown on the scrap heap and it quite sad really.
  14. No good luck Joe..No.all the best Joe....... Could replacements not wait till tomorrow. BTW MPT was dropped by Scunny because he was under performing....Just saying like.
  15. I actually agree with you.Although a double up role is a good idea in principle. It may have been a better option to declare, run and develop a no.8 rather than trying to pit riders against each other, to fight for a place, to try and boost their performance....but I'm sure it's a lesson learned
  16. Thanks for the weather update. Sounds good down there.
  17. Now that would be worth the trip especially if it's hot and he has to strip to the waist between heats
  18. Kerr's ave is too high to cover for Edberg? http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues13/pl13_dec_29.pdf
  19. I forgot that Lasse was missing. What about Stuart Robson he can jump a few starts for us for a change
