  1. C'mon the Bears show those Rebels what you are made of :-)
  2. They already are on his score guesting for Sheffield at BP on Sun but then to be fair he was riding at NO.6 I presume he will be riding at NO.7 on Sat.
  3. I'm not sure changes at this stage are the answer. I'm told Rob knows where his problem is he isn't gating. That doesn't smack of arrogance to me. The team have been short of Kake's leadership really since before the 4's. I do hope Doolan takes him under his wing. It's his iob as team Capt. On Sarj's performance on Sun no disrespect to him but would he be better? at this stage?. Don't know about Rose as i've not seen him ride the track. He seems to me to be a bit more of a fast track specialist as when he went to RH he went home in an in an ambulance. He certainly could be a possibility for Sheffield though
  4. That's rich you bunch of kids telling Cook and Barker to grow up
  5. I'd say cheaper meetings needs planning in advance as that isn't going to improve the season ticket argument if you suddenly throw a cheaper meeting in. It's needs planning at the beginning of the season and price the season tickets accordingly but it is certainly a consideration I would say.for next season
  6. Well done to Kent their first league win of the new era.!!!!!!! Well done to all concerned and well done to Charlotte and Lauren for their tweets. They do a grand job each week and never get a mention
  7. Although I haven't spoken to Rob since riding for Leicester. He has never come across to me as arrogant or above himself he is kept well grounded by his dad Darrell and he certainly doesn't have a bells and whistles set up very much a 1 man band. Maybe it is just his accent that implies arrogance as a lot of the Aussies can come across like that. Once you get into that rut I suppose.it's difficult to break. Rob just needs to break it and he will be there but these days it's up to reserves to win meetings which is not what they are intended for. All to often they expecting to cover for under performing main body riders covering for 7 & 8 point riders holding a 3 or 4 point average the ones that do are on false averages. Rob is also coming back from an injury that he got the back end of last season like Simon Nielson like Steve Worrall and the list goes on.
  8. Good to read another perspective. The injury to Edberg can't be helped but because he is relatively low averaged so good guests are probably limited. which puts a lot of pressure on Brandford just as he is finding his confidence.
  9. Unfortunately there can be an implied culture in this league which encourages team mates to race each other to make a name for themselves, in some teams anyway. Maybe Jack feels like he is living in Kirby's shadow and it isn't where he wants to be. Should you stifle enthusiasm in this league? or should you let the rider develop at his own pace, in his own way? Richie Worrall was forever falling off in his first season now look where he is and then there is Josh Bates and he isn't doing to badly now.
  10. But if Graverson rides better at no.4 then maybe there would be more in the meeting before Ht 14 surely. That's just my thinking and thank you for your thoughts.
  11. It's all very well talking about what might have been with Roynon. The fact of the matter is that Magnus was a more than able replacement. I'd say and it is only my opnion that Jan does not like the NO.2 position no rider does it's the 3rd averaged rider in the team up against heatleaders I think he rides better at NO.4 one thing I don't tend to study is ht trends so if there is a reason why Doolan can't go at 2 and Jan at 4 then can someone explain please.
  12. EEEEWWWW !!!!! Don't think I would have lasted 2 mins either on that description.
  13. My memory doesn't go back as far as some as I am relatively new to the sport since 2008 but I remember Woffenden having a similar problem with people around him in ore of his every move and he did have a reality check in the GP. Now he has gone away sorted himself out, surrounded himself by the right people and he is pushing on. Lets hope Cook does the same lets face it the sport needs good riders
  14. and he wouldn't have been any of that If he hadn't been who he was warts and all. You can't have one without the other, i'm affraid. A bit like Barker if he wasn't who he is he wouldn't be the rider he is. I for one find Barker very entertaining both on and off the track Translation on request.
  15. I suppose if he didn't take the speed to keep him going he wouldn't have needed the weed to calm him down a bit of a viciius circle. I have a long history with the Netherlands and I agree hash should be legal as it would stop all these mind bending cheap imitations which circulate. Lets not use this as a form of knocking someone succesful in the sport as seems to be the culture on here. If someone has a modicum of success they get shot down in flames. Lets face it if he had been addicted to painkillers (cocdamol) or prozac no one would have battered a eyelid Lets hope he can sort his problems out.. PS I am not a user myself
  16. They should have ambition. To be the best in the world but only ride for the Lions from here on in.
  17. There is no doubt that Lambert is a talent on track that is well documented but I was particularly impressed with his off track(so to speak) maturity. He gave up his max for the benefit of the team as he was unable to take the tac ride so rode with Worrall and let him past on the last bend to secure the 8-1 and then went up to Boxall in the pits to shake his hand after heat 15. but the biggest praise should go to both sets of managers who worked their socks off with tactical rider replacments and substitutions to get the best from the teams. They could do no more apart from jump on a bike and ride it themselves.
  18. I suppose the question is will he be the only injury. You can't predict anything in speedway
  19. To be fair. Teams do stretch and bend not break( just thought I would say that) the rules to within an inch of their natural lives. Questions do arise from time to time. Always trying to be 1 step ahead of the competitors. I'd say R/R gives existing team members extra track time which in the NL is badly needed unless you double up PL. So even for a training league it has a positive.
  20. Yes I agree I was impressed with Richings and Ellis. Are these 2 the 1st riders to go KL and make an impression on Lambert? I haven't been for any other meetings so it is difficult to gauge. I know Lambert was having an off night but until now, according to proboards, he appears to have gone unchallenged and streets ahead. I'm sure he enjoyed seeing people in front of him, and what he needed to do about it, as much as the crowd did. All in all a good night. For anyone who thinks this is a criticism it isn't. you seem to need to spell that out these days.
  21. They do say " there is no such thing as bad column inches" but on a serious note I don't think it was meant like that. I think Rhidassa was just making the point if the line ups were confirmed it may bring a few more people through the gates. How can that be disrespecting Robert?
  22. So you have Lykke (Dane) and the rider formerly known as Tyson Nelson (Austarlian) who by your own supporters admission are going backwards or inconsistent at best so you need a reserve who can hit the ground running and score double figures home and away from the off. You do the Maths who should and shouldn't be in the team? :-)
  23. Isn't it about time Ben Morley was given a fixed place he has given RH good, competitive service over the years?. He may have been asked and said no but Waco has stated he is looking to go PL
  24. Good to see you giving the lower order track time rather than taking it away
  25. Jake Knight seemed to think, in the SS, he could be ready to come back.
