  1. No don't think so. If you listened to the program on a regular basis you would know they don't do live phone ins they read submitted questions out. It may have something to do with licenses and things that may or may not be said on air and of course someone who wants to hold a 1/2 hour discussion with DH on air, which is probably not the point. Was your question asked and answered? (I did hear your name being mentioned or at least your nickname) If so job done
  2. Well there you go. No surprise really !!!!!!!!! Good interview though. I thought. ,
  3. At last we agree on something :party:You could probably even give him a 15 mtr handicap for added entertainment !!!!!!!! I always enjoy myself !!!! I'm just that kind of person .
  4. No.......... because you can't overtake when you are in front silly. It would have been nice if he could have missed the gate for fun though. You said he could have done a donought and still hit the front by overtaking on the straights and i'll say it again.......You either can overtake or you can't you can't have it both ways to suit your argument I'm guessing you are at the very least an ex GP rider you seem to have a handle on what it takes to ride a bike. So on that basis i'll take your word for the take it easy intimation :-)
  5. Well you should have said. I didn't realise that overtaking on the straight was,'t classed as passing. It just goes to show what I know. One thing is for certain Cookie gave everyone a masterclass on how to ride BP inside and out.
  6. I'm staggered (not)!!!!! We collect all points home and away for 3 meetings and no one mentions Roynon and then on the verge of losing 1 meeting and the Roynon factor is back. Ummmm!!!! Either a rider who has speed and ability can pass on the track or they can't you can't have it both ways. Which one is it. ????? So can you pass on the track or can't you. You've got me all confused now!!!!!!!
  7. Not putting the efforts of Edberg down but it's seems the H/L's are doing their job, if you ask me!!!!!!!!
  8. I can't see a promoter of the ilk of Len Silver getting caught out in such spectacular fashion. Len Silver said he had built a championship team. I can still see Lambert putting in an appearance later on in the season., ala Jerran Hart (2009) at Bournemouth,
  9. Rob completed a 2 year apprenticeship at Buxton :-)
  10. I think the NL has such a mixed agenda it is possibly struggling to find it's own identity. Stand alone fans find it their only speedway league racing and obviously want to win 2nd clubs it's watching the juniors develop. The answer doesn't seem to be an easy one but if anyone does then they will have found the golden goose I think A rider closer to the here and now. He slid more on his backside than the bike 'Richie Worral'l and now look at him ;-)
  11. In the light of complete apathy for this meeting, unless my eyes decieve me!!!!! thought I would post as it starts in 3 hours. Reports are; weather forecast is good and Lions fans making the trip seem to be in high spirits. lets hope they get a good meeting for their efforts
  12. Well it wont be for the lack of confidence after last weekend. Should be a good evening if the forecast is to be believed
  13. If they do make a change I hope Simon Nielson is on their radar was sad to see him go from Leicester just as he was finding his mojo :-) Hope Haines isn't dropped why should Albin have a place over him doesn't seem to be doing any better and Joe has had to start from scratch again after nearly killing himself in Australia!!!!
  14. Ye and his FB says he is there. Certainly surprised me. Good to see him back hope he does well!!!!!!
  15. They only have 3 3 pointers? Coles is listed as 4.30. The 11.38 for Boxall is obviously a drain but maybe they are hoping he will draw in the crowds. You can but try to be fair
  16. Oh well if you wanted both you should have said. !!!!! No point in putting across half a message.
  17. Not much about the close racing on here and the genuine passes, just the sense of loss which people said they would forgo to get close racing another myth of the speedway fan. It's easy to say you will sacrifice winning for close racing when you are winning.I must say i'm not a massive Bjerre fan, last night he was impressive he did seem to have the bit between the teeth or maybe I have just got used to him. Always like to see Barker, Fisher etc they are showmen and the sport need more of them. Leicester weren't lucky in Ht 2 the Ipswich pair were riding beyond their ability for that heat and you have to cross the line to get the points. Obviously Heeps and Ellis did get used to the track later on. I'd say Sarjeants fall was checking the track out what an ideal heat to do it in. Thoroughly enjoyed last night.!!!!
  18. Dissenter.................. public flogging is too good for some people
  19. Or the next Craig Cook
  20. The numbers game is the curse of the tried and tested rider that and not missing out on the next R Worrall. It must be a difficult job
  21. Sorry I didn't realise you didn't know. Replies are always so facetious on here. Facetious = Treating serious issues with deliberately inappropriate humor; flippant.
  22. Sargeant is good if you ask me at least he will pick up the gifted points as he doesn't tend to fall. Although he can't share, as he rides for the same NL side as Branford everybody needs a break. Hope he doesn't try to prove anything, that's the problem sometimes, they all feel they have something to prove they feel it's this one make or break chance and all that kaibosh. Just ride like we know you can James !!!!!!!
  23. Glynn wants to run a squad of 8 so when there is a clash of NL/PL fixture he has a no.7 to call on rather than get, in his eyes a NL guest to make up the numbers. He seems to be struggling a little to get this tactic off the ground as the riders don't seem to be keen to share the rides. Scunthorpe, at the time of signing Branford, needed a reserve change and Blackbird made himself available, to quote the press release. Had Scunthorpe been happy with their NO7 then Blackbird would still be a Leicester but probably operating as the senior no7 The same thing happened with Kerr at the beggining of the season when Jason King declared himself unfit and Newcastle nabbed Kerr as he wasn't guaranted a full season of meetings but who is? if you ask me. the idea, in principle, is good it's taking the no.8 strategy a step further and obviously needs a little work but must Leicester be knocked for trying it? You will probably say yes so i'll leave others to decide bearing in mind that Sheffield maybe looking to increase their reserve scoring and Branford may get going with Leicester then do one to Sheffield should Glynn sign another no.7. Also the NL is the bread and butter for these lads who are developing into NL riders so should be allowed to DU
