I know some Mildenhall supporters hate the idea of being Ipswich' "little brother" or "feeder" club, but there's no doubt that the tie in with them brought an awful lot of Ipswich supporters to west row on Sunday afternoons to swell the attendance. Most of them probably taking a look at Heeps who they knew would be an Ipswich rider this year. I saw Heeps twice this season, and i have to say he was box office on both occasions. Very surprised that one or two Mildenhall supporters would rather see a team without him in it this year! Baffled actually as its surely all about being entertained and this kid provides it in bucket loads.
-
Are we talking Nilsson or Stefan Nielsen who rode for Scunny last year??
-
But i still don't understand it as things have now moved on to the PL. The other PL promoters must be aware if Cameron Heeps is perfectly eligible to ride in the PL on lets be honest, a ridiculous bargain average of 3.00. If he wasn't, any PL promoter worth his salt would protest and challenge his inclusion. As far as i'm aware, none have been forthcoming. The only conclusion i can take from that is that he must be perfectly eligible and the others are happy with his inclusion.
-
Were there not any official protests from others about the lads inclusion? Indeed, where are the protests from other promotions in the PL that Heeps is included at Ipswich on a 3.00 average? I'm assuming then that he isn't eligible for that either? Where are the protests?? You can bet your bottom dollar that if this situation arose in the Elite league, if his average or eligibility are wrong it would be challenged.

plenty think the Leicester side looks poor!
-
Heeps looks an awesome talent, but the one to watch out for is Rohan Tungate. I saw him in the midland 4's and he look very very quick, better than nick Morris on the night. Some clubs are lucky to have one decent reserve, Ipswich have two and that will see you at the top end of the league.

If it is the team that will rule out North going by his tweet yesterday of a Friday announcement
-
It is. He tweeted he wasn't wanted at Somerset.

Jesus Christ you really shouldn't have gone to so much trouble!!
-
And a rather extravagant generalisation from you in thinking you've been proved correct that Premier league racing is superior. Of course, watching your Elite league racing at Foxhall and thrill a minute third rate gating Poles, I can understand why you would come to that misguided assumption. The dross you've been watching at Foxhall is not representative of Elite league racing one iota.
-
Or if your team is in the Elite then its far superior to the rubbish served up in the Premier, or if your team is in the Premier it serves up far better racing than the overrated rubbish in the Elite. And if your team rides in the NL, its far more entertaining than the Elite and Premier combined!
-
Each to their own. Personally, i thought the Elite league meetings on sky last year were generally superb.
-
The King's Lynn and Birmingham fans on here seem to disagree with you.
-
Maybe after that list is compiled, you could write down a top 10 list of Premier league riders and compare them?
-
Then what does that say about the standard of the Premier league? I don't understand how people can make digs about the poor standard of the Elite league on one hand while on the other champion the merits of the Premier league!!
-
"silly money" by Havelock's standards might not be silly money at all to others. He could also just be exaggerating because he's lost out on his signature. A young Aussie reserve pairing of Tungate and Heeps at Ipswich? Would be a mouthwatering one for Ipswich fans that's for sure.
-
That can't be right. According to Montie the lad is riding for Sheffield next year
-
I'm told Sam Masters is one rider who has already contacted the Ipswich promotion about a ride next year.
-
On his Facebook, he has recently "liked" Peterborough panthers........

Which makes the comments from "Rusty" from "trackside" sound even more bitter and harsh in the extreme! From the updates site "Jammy *expletive*, Russ says it's not often he gets angry with National League speedway, but Heeps knew he was beaten on the start, leant on Nick and then fell off. Ref fell for it and it's all 4 back. Nice bloke Mick Posselwhite, Russ says he's known him for ages, but that was wrong. He now adds that Heeps is still down. The paramedic and the ambulance are on the track, but he stands by his original assessment, hat he went down too easy and conned the ref." Second time in as many meetings he's fell in heat 15. I think you can put that down to fatigue. The poor sod is getting flogged to death with 7 rides every meeting

Heeps is clearly going to be hot property over the next year or two. Fair play to Ippo if they've signed the lad it's good to see they've gotten there first for a change. I'll follow the lads progress with interest. -
Something you see many many times. This is something that really seems to wind fans up when it happens against them. Except when the rider staying down after a fall is YOUR rider and his partner is not in a favourable position, then it's a case of STAY DOWN!!
-
Mildenhall should enjoy the lad while they can. Must be nailed on he'll walk in to the Ippo side next season
-
I've heard a lot about this lad a few down Dorset way are saying he's an awesome talent who will go far. Seems to be an entertaining racer too by all accounts so it will be interesting to see how he goes. Is he a Mildenhall asset?
