Actually - I think your suggestions regarding the Speedway World Cup and the GPs is are excellent - the reason I 'Liked' your Post. In the interim years between World Cups perhaps an World Best Pairs Championship could be organised. Every four years a World Cup and every four years a World Best Pairs with a two year interval between both. That would also increase the speciality factor. As regards the GPs - that will never change as long as BSI and to a lesser extent SKY have their grubby little fingers in our Sport.

Surely if you fill the new Supporters up with, as you say, BS then when they find out the truth of how our Sport works - they will probably leave anyway. :sad: You need credibility - there is precious little of that in Speedway nowadays. :sad: Here we go again.

I don't want to lower the tone of what was an excellent Thread but you attack most of my Posts as silly. You have nothing constructive to say though. Funny that. I think quite a few people on here would, I hope, disagree with you.

But it is all symptomatic Tigerowl - all of the things you mention plus those I mentioned are dragging Speedway down - why will no-one in Authority do anything about it. Speedway needs root and Branch reorganization, most people seem to accept/recognize this - yet nothing happens. With the added stringent Austerity Cuts, which will obviously affect the pockets of some Supporters at least, by the Government Speedway will be finished if nothing happens - yet, as I say nothing has happened and in my opinion nothing will. I only hope that I am proved wrong.

You are having a great day today Tigerowl. Another superb Post. Everything you have said in your last two Posts just about sums the Sport up for me. Add in Tactical Rides and Play Offs and you can see why folk no longer bother to attend. EDIT: Ooops - I forgot - the bloody 'Joker' in the 'It's a Knockout' Speedway World Cup.

They will have Financial parameters to work to to safeguard the Speedway future at Newcastle. Everything, unfortunately, must be guided by that. I sympathise with the Newcastle Promoters at present - it can't be easy...
