I saw Jimmy Squibb riding at Sunderland for Eastbourne (I think - memory not that great) in the Seventies. I may be getting my years mixed up, but I believe Reg Trott was in the same Team. I could be wrong.

Yes - but - to be pedantic - it wasn't the Rider who caused the stoppage - it was the Advertisement. If it wasn't attached properly - you can hardly blame the Rider for that, and in this case it may/will have cost him money.
