  1. Very well aid Gavan. Supporting your Club means through THICK and - THIN!!!!!
  2. Any chance of a summary please Hyderd - for those of us NOT on Facebook?
  3. It would seem reasonable to think so - wouldn't it?
  4. IF this is true - it is a bloody disgrace. From what I have read, the couple ALREADY KNEW the Stadium was there when they purchased their property. If they didn't like it, why the hell didn't they move in somewhere else. Some people really are NIMBYs. This Case should have been thrown out!! I suppose this will mean the end for Mildenhall Speedway. By the way - are they taking the Air Base to Court next? THERE MUST BE MUCH MORE NOISE COMING FROM THERE? THOUGHT NOT!!!!
  5. That suggestion does have merit. If only one person turns up and pays half price - it's still more money than if they had not come at all for the Promotion.
  6. First of all - I would like to apologise to Ludvig Lindgren for any upset caused by my Post. I have Posted on here before that Posting in anger is never a good idea - and it isn't - and I was extremely angry - no furious at the Post that I have copied above my Post. My Post was made in the heat of anger - I should not have made it. To be called a Racist is not nice - but neither is having a go at someone who I don't even know. This is also unacceptable in my eyes, hence I offer an unreserved apology to Ludvig Lindgren and any Supporter whom I have upset with my comments. Had I thought a bit more - then I would not have Posted as I did. I am sorry. To this end I have decided to not Post any further Posts on Threads to do with Newcastle, I think that is probably for the best. You can get too taken up with things.
  7. In view of my attempt to give some praise to Lindgren and the reaction it got - I think perhaps I have made my point. Don't you?
  8. Who would foot the Bill for the two Riders not actually Racing in the Team? I also Posted somewhere that you could not expect your two Riders to hang about for six weeks until someone got injured and expect them to hit top form straight away - it would not happen. Maria.
  9. You certainly could argue that point Gaz. But in the context of the Meeting/Result though, Robbo DID score more points. I never thought my comments would be so contentious. Especially as I thought I as complimenting Lindgren for a change.
  10. I really fail to see the relevance of this Post. What a stupid question. I should not dignify this with a reply. I will however try to explain: I will make myself clear. I do not think that Ludvig Lindgren comes anywhere near fulfilling his undoubted ability as a Speedway Rider. He is far too inconsistent. Two Home Maximums (the one against Plymouth he should have got anyway - most of his Rides were against Reserves and Second Strings - however, the old Rule applies - you can only beat whoever is put up against you). 7 Points in TWO Meetings away from Home tells it's own story. Now YOU might not like that - but - it is the truth. Absolutely nothing to do with Racism - more to do with a wasted talent. This is my opinion, as I say, you may not like it and you are entitled to your opinion too - I have no problem with that - but - to throw words like Racist in to the discussion is insulting and, frankly, stupid. Look at some of my previous Posts - it was ME who suggested that the 'Diamonds' should sign Neilsen on this Forum. I love watching him - 100% effort all the time. THAT is what I want to see. Good luck to the lad in his future at Brough Park. Oh! I forgot - regarding your remarks about Robbo - once again a stupid comment. Robbo scores points just about everywhere, he is also always trying to look out for his Team Mate with a view to Team Ride. NO RD my nose is NOT up his arse - I recognise a good Rider when I see one. Do you? You will kindly note that I have made NO personal attack on you in this Post. Thank you for that Arson. I saw red when he Posted and went straight in to Reply mode. I appreciate your comment.
  11. I was trying to. Was my statement wrong? He did do well - but crucially in the context of this discussion - less well than Robbo and King. THAT is what I Posted. I was correct in what I said. I tried to be nice and include him in the top three and this is what I get. Did I lie? No I didn't. Robbo 8 + 2. Lingren 7 + 1 - I respectfully suggest that YOU do the Maths - not me. When I was at school Paid Ten was more than Paid 8. Oh - and Lindgren could have got a zero in his fifth Ride - had he had one - we will never know.
  12. Well done to the 'Diamonds' tonight. It looks like they were made to struggle for a while though. Maximums for both King and Kerr with strong support from Robbo and to a lesser extent Lindgren. A very satisfactory Result. I'm looking forward to next week - no Speedway for about THREE weeks - I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms.
  13. 'Fraid so!! However we could go back to Saturday Night Racing. For those who want to watch the GPs (Circus) - they are only on Eurosport - so - why can't folks set up and record their GP. They can then go to their Club Meeting on a Saturday Night. Watch the GP when you get home, fast forward through the adverts and 'Bob's your Uncle - problem solved. Plus side of that - you don't have to watch the adverts - RESULT!!! Worth a thought anyway.
  14. Also Riders would lose form if not riding regularly. You could not expect a retained Rider after, say six weeks, coming in to the Team to replace an injured Rider and hitting top form straight away. I don't think the idea would work.
  15. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
  16. Good job Robbo came back again this Season - he has still scored more Points than anyone else. At least we can agree on that. Well he does seem to score well against the weaker Riders. Except, of course, Away from Home.
