Myself and my friends go to Newcastle Speedway from SUNDERLAND. :shock: There is no greater Football rivalry than that. We are usually greeted with good natured banter and good humour and we enjoy ourselves. I still support Sunderland Football Club (from the armchair).

I thought the Track was OK. A bit heavy maybe because of the Weather which slowed the times a bit. Ruffdiamond. Robbo Team Rides - he is always looking out for his Partner. That is why the Robson/Kerr Partnership is the best one we have.

Being as you both asked. Lindgren bust a gut to get past King in order to win a Race nearly fencing himself on the third bend in one race. He could just as easily settled for second. What if he had fenced himself? What good would that have done the Team in future Meetings had he been injured? Exactly the same with young Fox - he just couldn't let him win to help his confidence. Lindgren in this form is a truly brilliant Rider on occasions but he does not do it often enough, and I do not like seeing him doing everything he can to pass his own Team Mates. You might not like it but he is certainly NOT a Team man and tonight certainly proved my point. So please don't tell me he is a Team Rider - he plainly isn't.

Even less of a miss in 2015. At least Peterborough still have Speedway. After what I heard tonight at Newcastle perhaps I should refer you to Birmingham. :sad:

Perhaps you are right - but at least those fiddles were NOT officially sanctioned - as the points that I raised in my earlier Post are today. Still BENT but it's Official so that is OK.

Or have they stopped coming because the Sport has devalued itself by bringing in stupid, unnecessary and fiddling Rules. When I say the Sport has lost it's CREDIBILITY I am deadly serious - it has. Just one example should suffice. The World Cup a couple of years ago. Without checking back I think it was Australia LOST despite never having used a Joker (because they were unable to). ALL the other Teams had used their Joker which did NOT keep the Scores closer (as intended) but instead cost Australia the World Cup. CREDIBILITY is everything. Oh - and what about Nicki Pedersen and Jason Crump fighting hard to finish LAST in a Race in the World Cup - what was that about? You can CON some of the people some of the time - BUT - you cannot CON all of the people all of the time. People KNOW when they are being hoodwinked. Now - ask yourself WHY the Crowds have gone down - it's really not difficult. This example transfers also to League Racing in the form of Tactical Rides.

I can't remember the Leg Trailers - but - I KNOW I enjoyed my Speedway better back in the Seventies than I do now. :sad: The simple fact is that comparatively speaking Speedway isn't as good as it was years ago. What is so wrong with telling the TRUTH? We've all seen Races on the Television that Nigel Pearson tries to talk up and some of them are, frankly, rubbish. Telling folk that things are great these days, never been better, is just downright wrong. Totally untrue.
