  1. Somewhere earlier on this Thread (I think) Dave has said that work is planned to start soon. Nil Desperandum.
  2. Do you not think they could do things better Dave? The BSPA that is. To me they do seem to get an awful lot wrong.
  3. I think you will find that in my Post where I defended Philip Rising I stated that I bought the 'Speedway Star' now and again - but - I have also argued about the 'Star's journalistic integrity in the past. I have been consistent about that Dave. I do NOT rub my hands with glee - but I will say this - if the Magazine was just a little bit more hard hitting and investigative - I might even take out a Subscription. I actually think Speedway Star is a good Magazine - I just think it could be BETTER - what is so wrong with that?
  4. Interesting. Over to you 'Speedway Star'. I would say that the gauntlet has been well and truly thrown down....................................
  5. I totally support the Speedway Group of MPs. This gives them an unprecedented opportunity to do something really beneficial to our Sport. :approve: Let's hope that they take up the Challenge.
  6. No - it's because the Riders used to hit each other with Shillelaghs. To be sure, to be sure.
  7. That's great to watch The Abbott. :approve: Thank you for the Link.
  8. Do you fancy the job as a Start T..Model like?
  9. It depends...........................................................................
  10. In no particular order and from what I have read: Max Grosskreutz Jack Milne Jack Parker Vic Duggan Norman Parker 'Sprouts' Elder Frank Varey
  11. You ARE allowed to comment - and so should you be.. A couple of disgraceful Posts Haza. Philip comes on this Forum and tries to help keep us up to date with what is happening in the Speedway World. He doesn't HAVE to do this, he does it to keep us informed - as best he can. He is not responsible for the delay in the TV Deal. Philip will have had information that the Deal will be announced and given a rough timescale - he then reports that to us. Deadline comes, and then goes with NO announcement again, NOT Philip's fault - he has given us the Information in good faith. I, for one, appreciate his efforts. I, myself, have criticised Philip on certain issues in the past. One thing I would never question though is his Honesty and his Integrity. Finally - I get Speedway Star now and again from the Supermarket - I am NOT a Subscriber - nor do I know Philip - I have never met him. Therefore I have NO axe to grind here. I do believe an APOLOGY would be very much in order though.
  12. I have Voted too. GOOD LUCK!!!! Tai. :approve: Thanks for putting this on our Forum MP - and giving us a chance to Vote.
  13. I admitted that a while ago HT. The lure of the Racing proved to be too much. I realise I am going to have to chill out over the bloody Tactical Ride - for Health reasons if nothing else. So - YES - I suppose you are going to have to put up with me again at Brough. I must stress (perhaps wrong word there) that I STILL feel exactly the same about all of the silly Rules that seem to bedevil our Sport. I will be there to watch the Racing - the rest (Rules) can go to hell. My last words - I hope - on the Tactical Ride unless commenting on a particular incident in a Meeting on here. Looking forward to seeing you my friend.
  14. Pete rode for Brafield, Cradley Heath, Long Eaton, Scunthorpe and Sunderland. He attends all of our Sunderland Reunions.
  15. No they weren't AT fLODDEN fIELD. BUT crucially the Scottish Regiments have won one hell of a lot of Battles for the 'Island of the Mighty' since Culloden. Oh! and there were Scots fighting for 'Butcher' Cumberland at Culloden too. The British Empire would not have been so Great had it not been for it's Scottish Regiments. NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT!!!
  16. I think PC's First and Second in World Finals trumps Lee sidney. I must admit to being a big PC Supporter from his Rochdale days - so perhaps I'm a tad biased my friend. :)
  17. Lee in front of PC - NEVER!!!! in a million years sidney.
  18. Well he is vertically challenged.
