  1. Daft question. But to answer it - yes - unfortunately.
  2. I believe it will take time to restore our fortunes at International level. Roscoe must be given that time. I think Roscoe is capable of doing the job,, and doing it well - BUT - he will need the support of everybody - Fans - Promoters - Riders - everyone. What is needed is a combination of Training/Coaching and patience.
  3. Time we looked to our FRIENDS and not that misbegotten set of crooks in Europe.
  4. Because - if they don't - it is a VERY sad indictment of our Country.
  5. Well I think this is a positive start from Roscoe. I believe that he has tried to strike a balance between youth and experience - everyone starts with a clean sheet. Success won't come overnight - but giving some youngsters a chance cannot do any harm in my opinion. Good luck Roscoe - I really do hope you succeed in reviving 'Great Britain''s Speedway fortunes. We really have been in the doldrums for far too long.
  6. I really hope he does well in the new Season - nobody would be more pleased than me. If he gets some consistency he might even keep the Number One Racejacket. Up until now his achievement has been patchy to say the least. Particularly Away from Home. We shall just have to wait and see.
  7. Ludvig Lingren for me. World beater in one Heat who can become a rank amateur in the next.
  8. I think they should go back to Leathers anyway.
  9. I thought I might try to cheer this Thread up a bit. http://www.youtube.com/embed/G0PekTUmBdY?feature=player_embedded I thought it was funny anyway......................................
  10. In some ways it's worse. I certainly enjoyed my Speedway more back in the 'Seventies'.
  11. BOTH are bloody WRONG!!!! I have a 'thing' about this 'Fuselighter'.
  12. Don't get Ward's Speedway ability get mixed up with his 'off Track' activities. I'm with Vince on this - I am not keen on him - BUT - he is an awesome Speedway Rider.
  13. There is - and I think you know what I meant. The Fiddling, Conniving and Contrivance of the Results. That, in itself, is a form of corruption. You DID ask.
  14. I am genuinely sorry you feel that way hydrobob.
  15. Very well said blupanther. Anything that can be done to help Disabled folk get to Speedway if they wish should be done. "There but for the grace of God" springs to mind.
  16. I doubt he will understand what 'relevance' means anyway.
  17. Agreed - that is why I only purchased the first Issue.
  18. If you like BackTrack then I could also recommend Classic Speedway Magazine too. It covers the early years of Speedway up until the start of the BackTrack era. If you are looking for a Magazine that covers up to date Speedway - the only ones I know of are Speedway Star which you already get, and Inside Speedway the Magazine that has let you down. Oohhh for good old days of Speedway Express.
  19. Well said Martin - I agree - our Speedway 'lives' were definitely enriched by most of the Riders mentioned on this Thread. :approve: I always liked Reg Wilson though.
