  1. I've never heard of this before. Could you explain how that works please?
  2. Congratulations Jitendra. I wish you all the very best. Ian.
  3. I honestly don't think they are bothered about that. As long as the Top League survives for Television - they are not interested in the rest. Very short sighted in my opinion.
  4. That would be fine as long as they were brought up to Championship strength. I would not like to think of a Team coming in to the Championship too weak to survive and then closed down. The Promoters Association would need to help them - possibly financially - how would they feel about that?
  5. ............... and what if no National League Team wishes to move up to the Championship League. "Oh - that's all right just let the Championship run with two less Clubs - who cares"? Is what they will probably say. The Supporters of that League may think differently, as I do myself. Why is it that whenever the Top League run in to trouble, they are quite prepared to wreck the League below so that their status is maintained. I have been around a long time - and this has happened before.
  6. Thanks for the reply Dean. As I said - you, at least, know how I feel.
  7. Oh!!! That's OK then - what about the rest of the Championship?
  8. I would like to Vote for it to be scrapped Dean. I am not on Twitter and don't want to be. If you could Vote for me, that would be great. If you can't, I understand, but at least you know how I feel. Ian.
  9. I would like to ask a possibly contraversial questions here. How many Tracks are the 'powers that be' prepared to sacrifice in order to bring this new System in. Speedway Teams currently racing in Greyhound Stadia may find the nights required may not be available to them. What then? Close them down? What about the Supporters?
  10. It seems perfectly simple to me - not just for Speedway Riders either. If you don't like it here 'Sod Off'. As I said - perfectly simple.
  11. Different era, different times. They, mostly, knew how to behave in a different Country.
  12. You come back to British Speedway. Sad but true. Not particularly professional in their attitudes either. I loved the way Leigh Adams handled himself - today's Aussies can't hold a candle to him.
  13. The cynic in me thinks you are right wtg28.
  14. Who are 'us'? I don't think British Speedway are too bothered about 'US'.
  15. I think that BT have done very well by Speedway this year. I would be quite happy for them to continue coverage next year too as long as they pay something for it. Same goes for SKY if they wish to bid for Speedway - I would be happy with that too. As ff says - as long as Television Coverage continues to bring more publicity to the Sport - it has to be good.
  16. I sincerely hope so. The thought of that Court Judgement still angers me.
  17. I just hate anything in Speedway with the word 'Double' in it. Double Up. Double Down. Double Points - the worst of the lot.
  18. What we need is a Poll asking which do you prefer. i) Old Tactical Substitute. ii) New Tactical Ride (Double Points). iii) No Tacticals at all. Results to be decided on Points scored on the Track only - no enhancements. What do you reckon steve?
  19. If you could substitute the words 'would definitely' in place of 'should' I would feel one hell of a lot better. Imagine this scenario if you will - the Season is nearing it's end and there is a build up of Fixtures. Promoters in the Premiership decide in order to catch up on said Fixtures they need to Race on some off nights. Some of their Riders are riding for Championship Clubs on the night chosen - what then I ask? If the Rules have to be bent - they will bend them. It is not as if it has never happened before. Question B.V.72 - would you trust them?
  20. I thought not but I had a niggling idea I was wrong. Thanks steve.
  21. Sadly - I think that is the likely way it will go. I do hope not - we can only wait and see. Interesting if true ff.
  22. No it doesn't so long as he never misses a Team outing for your Team (Apart from injuries, illness of course) to ride for someone else. If he does ride for another Team when he should be riding for your Team - therein lies the problem. Can you trust the Authorities to abide by the Rules is the question I am asking. Unfortunately - I don't know the answer.
  23. Did Lee Dunton ever ride Speedway steve? R.I.P. Lee +.
