  1. 7.15 parade. 7.30 first race would work just fine. And as star lady says, interval can tie in with sun break if necessary
  2. Meetings need to be quick (except when there have been fallers). Unnecessary delays loses the momentum and excitement of the meeting. Aim should be 7.45pm start, 9.15pm finish.
  3. Stars look way too strong for Somerset. Just hope for some good racing and a decent crowd to get the season rolling
  4. I'd always assumed the yellow and green came about from the Norwich Stars link but at point the KL Stars wanted their own identity
  5. Just read on EDP website that Gavin Caney is taking over on the mic. Hope he is a big improvement on last few seasons - we've never replaced Mike B... http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/new_voice_of_speedway_at_king_s_lynn_stars_1_4876569
  6. Yep, something on twitter recently about flying back. I was putting two and two together to make four....hopefully Team coming together nicely me thinks...roll on tomorrow night
  7. If not holder or nki, what about andreas jonsson?
  8. Kk would be the better option unless away fixtures at Leicester and rye house can avoid sgp weekends
  9. And Iversen will be in Oz I assume. Batch may well have gone home too. Will be a patched up stars team on 22nd. Can't believe we've agreed to it changing again
  10. We want characters who play to the crowd like that. BUT he let himself down big time with that very childish interview
  11. Well done to Robert for his bronze medal in u21's.
  12. Tracks can be changed...but will Buster sort it out? Last winter he said he was putting together an exciting team of racers, yet most of the season we get gate and go tracks.
  13. If little importance now, but good to get a few more points on the board Depends if anyone wants him I guess....
  14. Would be half tempted by batch on his low average. Seems to have been riding a bit better of late. But do need a couple of new faces
  15. Pretty much gate and go again, but a few decent races thrown in. Take out Kerr and kings total of 6 points and throw in 10 for Neils as and a few for Rose and this would have been a much different result. Even Batch, apart from one race, put in a decent performance. His first one of the season. Maybe he would be worth a punt next season after all. Holder was a class above tonight and the whole Poole team chipped in with decent points and that was the difference in the end against a patched up stars side. Roll on 2017
  16. The way to stop the ringer at reserve is to revert to the old 15 heat format, so the reserves don't have their protected heats. Everyone will then get a proper average again. If the reserves are really good enough they will already have had to prove themselves against better team members in the opposition so will be able to handle themselves in the top 5.
  17. We risked Rory and Troy coming back from injuries this season. It didn't work. Not sure I'd risk Troy again even though he is on a low average. Wouldn't risk Bjerre either as he'd clearly lost his elite league mojo last season and who is to say he will be any better next season. Need to look for fresh young blood to freshen things up. Happy to keep Niels but only if he commits. Robert and team Lewis are musts. Jury is out on Porsing.
  18. Thought I'd read that somewhere (broken bones), and also talking about that being his season over? Guess time will tell on the treatment. Even more patched up Stars for trip to Dorset then
  19. I thought Porsing was injured since stone-gate last week at the AFA
  20. It would save us another embarrassing home defeat on the track, so your idea does have its merits!
  21. So here we are, a couple of weeks away from play off's and still no news on our final home match. #unproffesional
  22. Shock horror! Stars win, some superb racing. Reminded me why I enjoy speedway. Nice to see some pride and passion (from most of the team). Lakeside were good value to and deserved their consolation point. Niels win against a team riding Jonsson and Lawson through a gap that wasn't really there....just had to be seen to be believed Porsing made an excellent return, Kai had one of his best nights. Robert was Robert. Batchelor was worse than normal and that takes some doing....I do wonder if he is fully fit from last winter as he seems to struggle to turn the bike, often just drifting to mid track. This season has been a nightmare in every way possible, but was nice to have a good win. Rubbish presentation again. Lakeside ambled out and were ignored by everyone. Hope Porsing is ok, think he said something about his shoulder, but where I was standing between bends 1&2, could hardly hear the interviews over the tannoy. The interviews are a key way of filling in between races, but when you can't really hear them its no good.
  23. Hoping for a Stars win. Could be our last chance with only Poole left to come at home and I doubt we'll get much out of that. Lakeside never seem to do that well at the AFA, likewise Stars down London way, but too many potential weak links in the Stars team, so small win for the Stars...I hope! :-) Some good racing would make a pleasant change as well...
