Was raining all the way home to south of Norwich. I was probably stupid to even think it was going to be on. Got as far as East Winch and roads were wet with constant rain / drizzle. If it had been on would have been cr@p 'racing' on very poor track. Appears to have been correct call, goes with the territory of speedway occasionally, so don't really understand why people moan.

Hopefully Buster has allowed for a bit of precipitation.....or not if he is worried about our weakened side....

I did give it some thought After Fricke and Lawson, Leicester have an awfully long tail. If we can snuff out their middle we 'should' be ok.....even though we are a bit patched up. Expecting Kvech to score well now he has had a match at home

Teams announced KING’S LYNN: Tobiasz Musielak R/R, Steve Worrall, Jan Kvech, Benjamin Basso, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Richard Lawson, Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Craig Cook, Sam Hagon. Stars ought to be able to win this but a potential banana skin, especially if Patryk has picked up an injury today

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
kelvinht replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like Nicolai's season is over. He has just posted on fb that he has a stable neck fracture that will need 3 months in a neck brace. Unbelievable bad luck for a crash that should never have happened. You couldn't even call it a racing incident. Hope the stars have a plan b....just when the season was looking more positive.... -

I'll take it! Makes a change for guests to do well for Lynn. Lawson has been an excellent choice at home and now Tungate and Ellis. If we can keep this up till Tobias and Nicolai return I'll be very happy -

If it is as simple as stars Management are saying, then they should have put the news out days ago when they first knew and booked in brennan. I just hope it is as they say, but being a stars fan, you are never quite convinced....! -

Watched the interviews between the racing from last week's match on bsn and Rob did say / imply that they would look at team again when mpt was fit. He definitely didn't say Kvech was a straight replacement for the season. Chose his words carefully. Make of that what you will.... -
Good all round performance by the stars tonight. Even Anders and Simon put in good shifts, they were always there or there abouts and in the mix for points. Captains role by Klindt. Why we ever let him go i will never know, but thanks to Oxford for letting us have him back! Richard Lawson excellent choice of guest - another rider we should have never let go, always gives 100%. Good to see Patryk knocking in good points from no. 2 and NKI and Basso scoring as they should Kept waiting for Sheffield heat leaders to step up but they never did. With Kvech in the team what are the chances of a Srars v Ippo final...

Worrall would be an upgrade on MPT, but not enough unless can rediscover some decent form. We need to pull a lambert (of the Robert variety) out of the hat to give us any chance of turning this season round -

Been that way all season, absolute pain in the a**e getting out now, and with constant A47 closures towards Norwich not a fun drive home. -

Just the track fence so would have landed on concrete between the two. Made it very difficult to get to him -

I don't understand why they don't say that at the track. It's not difficult! -

You'd have thought Basso should have been in heat 15 and the superheat. Maybe he needed to change bikes so not worth the risk at that point. If that was the case I'd have probably gone with Patryk. I'd been quite happy with NKI this season, but poor tonight with no speed. MPT really should be on his way after another poor home performance. Kerr would be a good option if he becomes available unless there is someone else out there. I've been impressed with Brennan this season, definitely an upgrade on king. Anders put in a fantastic shift. Dan Thompson rode well too. Good to see three good young brits on the up. Hope Doyle not as bad as feared. That was a nasty one. It evened the teams up but we still couldn't win even after being ahead on average at one point... ffs... glad we had Klindt lead from the front -
How come there is a GP qualifier on a Monday night? I thought Monday was protected for UK, even more important as the Poles have half a finger in the pie for Thursdays?

King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
kelvinht replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yep, doesn't ought to be major issue. Drying up nicely where I am 50 miles away. If not raining at Lynn I'd have thought a good chance of getting this on. And yes, the center concrete probably doesn't help drainage Be interesting to see a photo of stadium now.... -

kelvinht replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Tbf, its probably the correct call, and all bar previous one have been correct too. There 'might' be a small window to lay a track and rush through to heat 10, then everyone would complain they'd been short changed with riders being able to ride but not race. Buster can't win.... -

I struggle to see past a Sheffield win, but hope we can keep it close and interesting and the weather plays ball and we get some good racing
