  1. Rob Lyon said on the POE podcast that it would be r/r as lynn riders would be better option than the oxford riders available (Riss was mentioned) Another must win for the Stars, gonna be a close one but hopefully a Stars win - you'd think most of the Lynn riders should have the beating of Kerr, Flint, Sedgeman and hopefully Anders - and are well capable of taking good points of Chris Holder and Picko....Jack Holder might be almost unbeatable....
  2. Gutted I'm the other side of the country so gonna miss the mighty Stars beat ipsh1t
  3. I just hope TNT don't cause the meeting to be dragged out - well I can dream... Kills all the excitement and momentum of even the best meeting for the actual paying punters
  4. This team isn't far off what we were running end of last season. Would have hoped we'd have got a bit more momentum now. BV and Sheffield away were always going to be difficult away but didn't expect us to be that poor. We absolutely have to beat Leicester on Monday to turn this around. If we can get a bit of confidence this team can get to the play offs. It's all very well talking about changes but who can you realistically bring in that's better than what we have....?
  5. I said the same thing on the night about kvech in heat 15. Think it will be close as kurtz and Bewley could both go through the card, throw in a potential tactical ride and the rest don't need to score too many. 6 to 8 point win for stars at most. Any more will be a bonus
  6. Thought we were going to hit 60 at halfway stage. But Oxford found a bit of form and Ben and Nicolai both faded. Ashton was well in the mix and made a good contribution, but Harris was riding too well to not get an extra ride. Gusts was excellent value once he got dialed in. Schroek missed a trick in heat 10, should have put Gusts in place of his love child... Gonna be a good season but we'll meet stiffer opposition for sure. It might be early doors, but 2nd place in the league isn't beyond us
  7. Or not follow diversion and go into King's Lynn on Hardwick Road, turn left at roundabout onto A148 to the Saddlebow roundabout.. But they are repairing bridge over river Ouse, so in theory should be able to get to the saddlebow roundabout with no issues....
  8. Are there another 3 ex-riders similar to Mads who'd perhaps come along for a couple of demo races between the main event races.....
  9. Two quality teams - one assumes the other two will be equally as exciting. Looking forward to this - just gotta get from Leicester to South Norfolk in the morning then back to Lynn for the afternoon - simplez....
  10. Good line up above.... But might get a few big names with riders wanting track time at start of season....
  11. Woffy might wear a tin foil crash helmet, cos it's lighter
  12. I certainly wouldn't want to be forced to pay for a programme. Rarely buy them these days as I use an app. Petrol and entrance and drinks are enough for me. Not sure why programmes are sold separately - have them available at the box office then if you are paying by card you only pay once and don't have to worry about cash
  13. 6.9 was a typo (long day - thats my excuse)....corrected in my post, but if its 2.5% the bald one is right its 6.06
  14. according to green sheets - Harris finished 2024 on 6.22 - with his 5% reduction that's 5.909 I think (not sure if that rounds to 5.91 or 5.90) - gives us a little more wiggle room if he is indeed our no. 6
  15. Very enjoyable (as always). Rob was very good, and shows what a great team manager he is. Definitely made a huge difference this year. Look forward to more podcasts next season...
  16. Don't think most of the teams on here are far away. Klindt, Iversen and Kvech are pretty much nailed on I'd say. If we can get a decent no. 1 then Rowe could slot in at 6, if we can't then I think that unfortunately means we have to go strength in depth and get 6 pointer at reserve. That's really unlucky for Rowe as he has been one of our shining stars this season
  17. As our season has finished early yet again, maybe Buster should reintroduce the Pride Of The East in early October after the play offs have finished. Might get a good selection of riders and could even consider a Saturday night or Sunday afternoon to get a decent crowd before the long winter nights...
  18. And you don't have to have overtaking to be a good race. (Rowe riding a perfect line in heat 10 to beat masters) Close racing and not too strung out in most heats and a close scoreline throughout. Dunno what it looked like on TV, but trackside, was a great match to finish on.... although slower due to TV cameras and number of restarts
  19. Harris and Blodorn will have to ride better than their last appearances at the Norfolk Arena, otherwise it's gonna be a very long night, even more drawn out than the usual Eurosport shows.... One wonders if they have been chosen to ensure leicester pick up the full 5 points and win by more than 15 to finish top..... would have preferred Lawson to guest and Harris or Blodorn cover the vacant leicester no. 2 position. Its british speedway, so don't see why not - must be in the rules somewhere...
  20. I thought that was where the 2 minute clock had gone..
