  1. Does anyone get a job on merit these days? You either have to be a mate or tick the right diversity box..
  2. Refs should be able to restart races with riders in their original position at time of incident. Not sure what would work best though - a rolling start with riders having to be a line coming off bend 4, or trying to stagger start and 5 metre intervals....
  3. Racing definitely, but for once, just once it would be nice to win the league!
  4. No KK PLEASE - on his day he is a world beater, but he is equally as likely score zero
  5. Playoffs should be no more than 2 teams out of 7 really. If its extended further, then teams should start matches with additional points graded on finishing position - otherwise no benefit to finishing top......maybe add 4 points per match for finishing top, 2 for second, 1 for third, nothing for fourth. Top place finisher v 4th place would start with 8 point aggregate advantage...
  6. Don't forget Lawson wasn't fully fit in the early part of the season. For a rider of his calibre in a league not as strong as it was a few years back, 7.91 is easily achievable. You won't any improvement on that, but you should get a decent solid (second?) heat leader
  7. Can't see Killer being in the side next year
  8. Mine arrived Tuesday, been taken away by the kids as its my Xmas pressie
  9. Sheffield forecast does show a chance of rain late afternoon / early evening......but dry all day apart from that......
  10. Assuming the Aussie boys are heading back home already, but why no Klindt? Stars still have a chance to turn this round looking at those line ups IMO
  11. Ignore Heat 2 and 15 and remove highest and lowest score - that'll do the job nicely
  12. What is a actually required, is to apply a multiplier to points scored dependant on the position a rider was in team. It's a lot easier to score 6 from a reserve position than from a heat leader. Downside is it makes things very complicated!!
  13. That's the problem with current GSA rules, big wins cause big swings in averages. Needs to be over more matches to give a more realistic figures. Can't remember what it used to be, but presume they were trying to 'fix' some anomalies but just cause different ones. Needs relooking at
  14. Why didn't Lambert post that on his Twitter feed on Sunday if this was truly the case, rather than trying to cover his own backside now. No one looks good in all of this
  15. They don't seem to want to splash the cash for the right riders, even though a successful team will pull in a few more punters. Brady as one the sponsors as well as team managers might be prepared to help on that front...
  16. Disappointed but not surprised at the patched up teams tonight. Decent night's racing, actually one of the more entertaining ones this season, so thanks to the riders who did bother turning up and putting in a good shift! Jacobsen on his 5pt average is a good start for next season. After a full season in charge, expecting a play offs team to be put together by Alex Brady
  17. Probably final ones to be issued this season, but another set after season has finished (if it ever does) for team building for 2023...
  18. Yup, it's getting to that stage now - do enough to get to play offs and somehow strengthen for a big finish. As Fricke was injured can't really blame Lemmon for bringing in Lambert. If only we could have manged that instead of Klindt, could have been a very different run in to end of season for us
  19. We had an ex-rider (Shroek) and look how good he was... NOT. And we've have non rider Allitt... Sheffield are lucky with Steady.
  20. What a pile of pooh We are 2 heat leaders short of a decent side. Not sure what was up with Klindt tonight, never looked like scoring. Picko is ok when he is on it, but other than early season he has just been chasing shadows. He can be exciting, but needs to gate once in a while. Lawson scored as expected from no 1 position, cos he isn't close to being a no. 1 Worrall just about held his own, but his recent good form seemed to have deserted him. Even Freddie was a bit disappointing after a decent start to meeting. Jorgensen at least showed some fight. Jason Edwards never looked like scoring, seems to be struggling with confidence since returning from injury. We've struggled at no. 7 since Jack was injured. And the track was pretty pants as well. 2023 needs some serious work.... Congratulations to Sheffield, can't see us turning this round with out some sort of divine intervention!
  21. Looks like queues to get in as tickets don't seem to be available online?
  22. This is British Speedway promoters don't forget, defied any kind of logic or common sense for years, and I use the term 'promoters' very, very loosely obviously...
