  1. So Ben Barker has declared himself fit to race, R/R for Kyle Newman and Plymouth are waiting for news on Rasmus Jensen so there might still be one change. Ipswich should win, but should be some entertainment now that Barker is riding.
  2. Hey Shadders looks like you have time travelled a hundred years!!! Tracks Visited 2114!!!! Good to see speedway still running.
  3. We know it's not the first time, he has said it when being interviewed but John Cook has never let him. Let's hope this gives him a boost and he can get back to what we know he can do.
  4. Adam Roynon says he's hoping to be back Thursday, can't see Rasmus Jensen riding if he had concussion at Newcastle as I thought you had to have a week off if that happened. Plymouth are waiting on more news on Barker & Newman before naming their team.
  5. I just noticed that on the King's Lynn preview. I wonder why John Cook has agreed to this as he is already missing Peter Karlsson and they have Thomas Jorgensen guesting at number 5, putting Simon Lambert in weakens them even more. When Adam asked to ride for Ipswich at Somerset John Cook flatly refused so why the change of heart. Is the King's Lynn match a re-arranged one?
  6. Well this meeting could be a Witches select v Devils select. With Richie Worrall breaking toes after his altercation with the Foxhall fence and Adam Ellis riding for Lakeside at King's Lynn, that's two guest for the Witches. I notice on the Somerset press release for the pairs on Friday that Rohan is shown with Morten for Ipswich. The Devils have even more injury concerns after their meeting at Newcastle yesterday with Ben Barker, Rasmus Jensen & Kyle Newman all being withdrawn. With them already using RR for Adam Roynon they could have up to three guests. As no team lineups have been released yet from either club time will tell who lines up and who doesn't.
  7. Don't think this current Edinburgh team wouldn't even touch the Hackney Kestrels team of 1988 who won 26 of their 30 league matches and won the koc as well. Team was Andy Galvin, Mark Loram, Chris Louis, Alan Mogridge, Paul Whittaker, Barry Thomas & Garry Rolls.
  8. I'm not trying to make it personal. All I was saying is Adam admitted when he was interviewed a few weeks ago that he hates the Lakeside track and would rather ride for Ipswich. Maybe if he is not enjoying riding for Lakeside that is part of the reason he is having a tough time, but you would have more inside information to answer that then any of us fans. It's just an opinion.
  9. You say he is going through a tough patch which we all can see. Adam has admitted he doesn't like riding the Lakeside track so why doesn't he take a break from Lakeside and concentrate on the Premier League which might help him out of the tough patch.
  10. Great to see Richie Worrall shut up the heckler in the home straight stand who gave him abuse before heat 15. It was all quiet after that race. Seeing as he had his right foot strapped up around his boot after collecting the fence in his first ride and was limping very badly, he didn't need to come out in the last race so it shows his commitment. Hopefully nothing too serious.
  11. I know changes won't be made but if they dropped Adam as he looks as if the big offs are taking it's toll. (Great talent but not really gone forward this year and amount of meetings he misses riding for a track he hates). You could bring in somebody up to 6.20 and have Cam & Ritchie H at reserve. Then we wouldn't have national league guests when he is missing riding for Lakeside. I know it's not his fault it's the crap rules in place. They should look at rule and if a number 7 has a 4pt average or above then you should be able to get a guest up to that average. Teams always suffer and are weakened by this rule if they have a high average number 7.
  12. Bit like the riders in the final of the British Championship at Wolverhampton then!!!
  13. Does seem a bit strange seeing as he said he won't be making any changes. If they are not giving their best should they be in the team? Don't forget to warm up properly for your run tomorrow night, you don't want to strain anything.
  14. Will this make the attendance figure more or less at the next home meeting!!!! Only time will tell.
  15. A point gained but what a disappointing finish to the meeting, 8 points up with 4 races to go and lose by 4 is just not good enough.
  16. I know it's in the rules but IMO you shouldn't be able to put any wheels over the white line as this is speedway not grasstrack so they should use the track only.
  17. I wish you had dumped him before Tuesday night as he wouldn't have won heat 14.
  18. The move to Newcastle was done to get Danny's average down so he can be Ipswich's number one for next season
  19. Great meeting tonight with some really close racing, not one 5-1 in the meeting. I think Worrall should bring his best bikes back from Poland and start producing the points a number 1 should. Cost us the meeting tonight. Rest of the top 5 were in the mix and Rohan was superb tonight. A draw would have been a fair result tonight but a point picked up will do.
  20. That was last season when we took a 20 point lead and lost the return by 32. As long as they turn up at OTA we should be okay as we had three riders missing the league cup meeting, only two this time. Last night it looked like the Somerset riders had no throttle control, coming from the fast flat out OTA to the smaller technical Ipswich track and got themselves all out of control.
  21. At least there's no tactical rides allowed in the cup and agree we need as big a lead as possible, but after last year against Workington we had a 20 point first leg lead and lost the return by 32. We just need the whole team to turn up at both meetings!!!
  22. Celebrations all round the Premier League forum, hopefully he will only post in the Elite League section now!!!!
  23. Spoke to Adam and he had an ice pack on his left knee. He said he wasn't sure but it could be muscle or ligament damage. Get well soon Adam. Good performance from team to get win especially Ritchie Hawkins who after a dodgy exclusion in heat 2 when Ben Morley was already going down when they clashed he went unbeaten. Cam was involved in the race of the meeting with Kennett but apart from that was not in the mix. Rest of the team were solid and Gino impressed again.
  24. Seems to me you have the blue, white and yellow blinkers on. The incident with Sam Masters was no different to the one in heat 12 when Steve Worrall moved Morten out into the thick stuff on bend one, the only difference is Morten stayed on whereas Sam bailed out. I think you will also find it was Richie Worrall who moved Sam out and not Tungate. Concerning heat 8 at the speed Justin went into bend 3 and how narrow he went in the only way he was getting round the turn was to use Gino as a bumper as you saw as he was still out of control after Gino went down. Surprised Ritchie didn't get a warning but hey it is Barbara Horley!
  25. Maybe Richie went over to see what set up Steve had on his bike and finally found one that worked. I thought we have had Steve at number 1 all year and Edinburgh have had Richie at reserve the way it's been. The meeting went how I expected when Edinburgh won the toss and had the better gates at the start of the meeting. Ipswich came back into the meeting half way through when they got the better gates. This was one that Ipswich should have won but lost points when the riders lost places when riding the wrong lines.
