Does anyone know when the cut off for the pl fours is as with these new averages Ipswich won't qualify if it is done on top five averages in each team. Interesting average for Ty Proctor if that is right. Has he really gone down to a three point average!!! The worst part is that Adam is still number 7 in the averages on 4.84. Which makes the rule that you can only replace him with a national league rider a joke as he is on almost a five point average. This rule needs looking at.

Back to tonight's match another inept performance from Chris Gay who again holds the tapes for an eternity. 9 reruns is too much and the meeting dragged on too long. It's as he wants to get riders excluded for touching the tapes and then fails to see that Fisher hit the tapes with his front wheel before it hit the peak of his helmet. He also didn't notice that Richie was half way to the tapes off 15m before the tapes went up in the rerun of heat one. Then he excludes Fisher for being knocked off by Blackbird. I think I would rather of had the original ref Christina Turnball as printed in the programme and that's saying something!!! He just never gets any better. Hope Lasse and Ales are okay and what a joy it was to watch Lasse blasting around in the dirt like he did the season he rode for us. You only had one heat leader missing as Ales is number 4 in your averages which means he is a second string. But I thought you were not overly concerned. Make your mind up.

I think you will find that you only have 0.23 to play with because if you add up the averages they seem to have missed adding Joe Jacobs average to the total.

Well that's a pretty poor result, not even one race winner. If Chris was disappointed after good Friday and called three of the riders in for training after this he should call all of them in for training. Totally unacceptable.

Doesn't look like there's much interest in this meeting, it's not if there's much riding on it Ipswich at least need a draw to progress but need to have all riders on it to cover for Morten and Adam being absent. How much effect will swapping Todd & Charles have on the scoring from the Somerset reserves. Think the meeting will be close with Somerset shading it, but we can only hope not!!!

Can I ask where you were sitting/standing at Foxhall?, because from my view by the startline Tungate got hit by Bjerre's back wheel entering the turn and left him nowhere to go except down so should have been all four back. Also if you think Hawkins should have been excluded in heat two at Peterborough then Fisher should have been excluded from heat one at Foxhall.

Good exciting meeting to start the official fixtures off with some really hard and close racing. If Rye supporters claim they should have nicked a point you have to ask what their team manager was doing not putting the black and white on Garrity in heat 10 when he had the chance. If we ride like this with Rohan & Cam having off nights wait till Cam's fully fit, we should be a force to be reckoned with and have good reserves all year.

I was used to watching elite league racing at Ipswich for years, but since dropping down the racing has been better and closer than whats on show in the elite league nowadays. Give it a chance and stop being an elite league snob.

With Peterborough coming back in the league the BSPA for not scrapping the additional fixtures against the same teams.

Looking at the fixtures we will be missing Richie Worrall twice, Home & Away v Peterborough on Good Friday. This could rise to four if Ipswich have home meetings on 29th May & 14th August as these are stated as Open at the moment. Whereas with Adam Ellis it's a different story. He will be missing 8 meetings :- Plymouth Away LC 11th April Peterborough Home & Away LC 18th April Newcastle Home PL 5th May Scunthorpe Away PL 20th June Plymouth Home PL 10th July Rye House Home PL 7th August Sheffield Home PL 30th August There could be 1 more meeting if Somerset get through to face up in the cup and Adam would miss the away leg on 13th June. It all depends on how well Adam does this year to see what sort of guests we can get.
