  1. Don't you buy a program beerhut? It was Darren Hartley, think it is the first time he's been to Foxhall but could be wrong!
  2. Reading the Berwick report of the meeting on the bspa site, Ashworth was actually excluded for knocking off Leigh Lanham, not the incident with Adam. This make more sense now as he clearly moved into Leigh and brought him down on the back straight. Maybe Adam should've been excluded aswell for being underpower as he was not attached to his bike at the time.
  3. Where in the rule book does it state you can be thrown out of a meeting for verbals between riders, punches yes. If you're that bored don't post. Ipswich could only beat the team put out on the track, if one of your riders spits out his dummy and gets himself thrown out of the meeting that down to him. The whole team pulling out of the meeting would've looked good on the the bspa chairman. I wonder what sanctions would've been taken.
  4. To be fair Ashworth never seems to go well round Foxhall. Seems to be the norm, a rider who is used to fast big tracks like Berwick, Sheffield seem to struggle when they come to the tight tricky tracks like Ipswich, Rye House. Maybe they need a season at one of these tracks to crack them.
  5. Spoke to Nick the rerun cameraman after the meeting and he confirmed that Ricky Ashworth didn't touch Adam, and even Adam admitted when he was interviewed for his man of the meeting award that he was surprised to be in the rerun. The ref has to make a decision and got it wrong but they don't have all the camera angles like on a sky meeting. I sit in the home straight stand right in front of the ref and from my view it looked like Ricky left him no room, so until they put officials at both end of the circuits as well as the ref, mistakes are going to be made.
  6. Hamish, do you know Ben Personally then to know what he thinks?
  7. Fact is nothing would have happened if Cook didn't lose his dummy after being dropped from the world cup and starting spouting tripe on twitter about fellow riders, so maybe Cook needs to keep his mouth shut also. Regarding the apology why did it take so long to put on his website, as he tweeted last night it would be on at midday. He could have done it last night, but then I guess he didn't write it and somebody did it for him.
  8. How do you know, do you know him personally! Note: Facts only please!
  9. What about an apology to the Referee after the abuse he got, that makes two.
  10. It might also be a reality check to Craig Cook's ego as well, after all the stuff he came out with after being dropped in the world cup. He is a good rider at premier league level, but really in the Elite League, apart from the top one or two in the teams he is only beating premier league standard riders and double uppers from the premier league. The same can be said of Barker, which makes them think they are better than they are, which the world cup proved.
  11. That still doesn't make what cookie done right tho' does it, or are you using this to justify what he did.
  12. Thanks, look forward to meeting you in the cup final.
  13. Firstly, have to feel sorry for the Edinburgh fans and riders who travelled down to Ipswich to have their chance of a cup final taken away by the actions of their number 1. Secondly, have to give credit to the referee for taking the action he did, because there is no place for this in speedway. There were a lot of children there, being the first week of school holidays, so what Cook down was out of order. From what I saw from sitting by the start line is Ben was walking past Craig, maybe there were words between the two but couldn't hear and Craig grabbed him by shoulder and then punched him in the back of the head. It then spilled into the pit area and couldn't see anymore. By some accounts the ref took the two riders and managers into the dressing rooms, and Craig was effing and blinding at the ref and ripped a heater off the wall. Then it was announced that Craig was banned from the rest of the meeting. The last time I remember a rider getting banned from the rest of the meeting for punching a fellow rider was Craig Boyce on Tomasz Gollob at the gp at Hackney.
  14. Hopefully Rohan doesn't injure himself riding for Poole tomorrow night and is fit for Thursday. We don't need a repeat of last Thursday when he was ruled out after his first ride, as we will struggle to win on aggregate then. Should be a tight one, but can see us just edging it.
  15. I sit in the home straight stand right in line with the line and the ref defo got it correct with Lanham losing it just on the run to the line.
  16. The thing is I don't think Craig Cook will be guesting for any Premier League team now his average is over 10! Lets hope Worrall rides better than he did at Peterborough on Sunday.
  17. I would go for someone like Stuart Robson or Richard Lawson who had a good meeting in the test match at Ipswich.
  18. Rohan might not ride tomorrow as informed by my mate from Poole that he stated he needed a couple of days rest after that crash. Wouldn't mind if he missed tomorrow as it's only really a friendly (no disrepect to John Berry), as long as he is fit for Plymouth Friday and Peterborough Sunday,
  19. Hope Ben will be fit to take his place after his crash at Edinburgh tonight.
  20. Good resulf for Ipswich to keep it to six points, gives us a chance of making the final. Another good display by Adam at Edinburgh beating Fricke three out of three. Hope Ben is not too badly hurt.
  21. Not Correct, his current average is 3.00, the 4.13 doesn't come into effect until the 1st July so he did ride to his current average.
  22. Who's Dad you have a running fued with, so no prejudice there then!!!
  23. So another win and all you can do is criticize Adam again (and you keep saying you aren't prejudice against anyone!). You keep going on about he is not our asset, so who would you replace him with, our own asset Joe Jacobs? Again what you keep forgetting is Adam is in his first year of speedway and Cam is in his second, having seen tracks before, so do us all a favour and start getting behind the whole team. We are fourth in the league if you haven't noticed. Yes, Josh did have a good meeting, but as you say against a disgrace of a team. He did start the season with Scunthorpe and didn't last long there did he! You can only judge him against better opposition. The other thing is Ben is not our asset so why should we bother with him as well!
