  1. Totally agree with you there, however he wasn't fit and it is now history, but that is why I think we should have cookie again next season as he brought a feel good factor after a disastrous 2017 capitulation and a mediocre start to 2018, he brings passion and was helpful to the rest of the team and tbh I dont really care if we win the league or not, I like to see good racing and a happy team , and Workington deserved to win it all last year as they were the best throughout the season. Before everyone starts saying that Cook is too good for the league and will probably win by half a lap etc, I agree he probably will, but if he misses the gate he is awesome to watch lining up the opposition to pass and that is worth watching for me.
  2. If that is the team Rasser should improve , Starke also if he can stay injury clear, Claus should maintain, reserves will probably struggle and Sarge can improve, he done it before and Cookie will at least maintain but can be influential to other members of the team. Sheffield however do look very strong
  3. Amazing how everyone else seems to know who our team is, I guess the management should just announce it now. I thought Chessell had retired? If Cookie is back, I am happy , if anyone can get the best out of the reserves ,Cook can
  4. Must be favourites, that is a powerful looking team, need to also get a bit of luck and stay injury free, well done .
  5. Jack Thomas isnt back, although I would have loved him back
  6. Location has been a big issue at Glasgow for years, people don't want to travel so far North, it was only after the Facenna's took over and offered more money that riders then wanted to come. If we were to have a fixed pay rate and no extra money from sponsors etc then we would find it difficult to attract riders to the team
  7. He used to be promoter and owner and team manager of Glasgow, Stewart is a very astute team manager and knows the rules inside out, he is a very good tactician
  8. Has he signed for 2019? You seem to be in the know , Jenga, I hope so , love watching him.
  9. According to Cookie , when he joined , he stated he was getting paid for results, so to me I think lessons have been learnt
  10. Kemp is a fab signing for you, was very impressed with him when he rode at Glasgow
  11. Young Drew rides Ashfield very well amd would be a fab 2 pointer, but would he travel up here every week, I doubt it
  12. I hope they dont go back to Sundays at 3pm as that will be 1 less season ticket as I work 3 out of 4 Sundays and dont finish until 3, would need to be 4pm or later
  13. Gutted that they have dropped the points limit, Cook brought a feel good factor to Glasgow when he joined and he was a delight to watch, bet the dont bring the admission price down to watch a watered down league. All that will happen is that current middle order riders will demand more as they will in effect become heatleaders.
  14. My rider of the year Craig Cook as he transformed our team. Most impressive team has to be Workington Team rider of the season Ty Proctor One to watch Drew Kemp Best British rider Craig Cook Meeting of the season for me Ipswich v Glasgow to qualify for play offs but the Workington Glasgow semi final was a close second, we came back well to lose by just 1 point against a very dominant Comets Surprise of the season Workington Underperformers Glasgow looked such a strong team at start of the season but it didnt happen, only improved when Craig came into team Unluckiest rider Lewis Kerr , he was having his best ever season until he got injured Newcomer of the season Drew Kemp
