  1. These should be cracking meetings , could go either way , without Cookie I suspect it will be much harder for the Tiggers and would also depend on our reserve guest. The comets have a really good strength in depth and a very strong reserve. If Glasgow don't get through then I hope the comets take the prize , got to keep it in the north, and before I get slagged for saying this , I am over my previous rant in another post .I met some lovely Workington fans on the plane to Torun and we had some good natured banter.
  2. I hope Redcar run next year as I enjoy my trips down there and have met some lovely Redcar fans
  3. Great addition to Leicester , Stewart Dickson is a great tactician and team manager, he is also very passionate
  4. Hmm obviously someone who knows me, interesting , seriously we all get upset at times and spout off, doesnt make us bad people, just passionate about our teams, i just got annoyed at him calling me a sad lady , which I am not, I did congratulate the comets on their achievement and have congratulated the enemy ( monarchs) in the past , credit where credit is due
  5. You come across as an obnoxious bitter nob, away and spill your bile somewhere else
  6. THJ think you have swallowed too many bitter pills , maybe you should try some sweeteners
  7. Well pardon me for congratulating you, I am a speedway fan in general and dont mind the Comets team but some of the comets fans are as bad as some of the monarchs fans, I even remember our bus getting its windows smashed some years back when Tigers were down in Workington, I was giving credit where credit is due but obviously that is not accepted by your fickle fans.
  8. Unfortunately won't make this as I will be in Torun, would be nice to come back to having the Scottish cup back in the west, but after our last armadale experience, It is a big task to hold onto aany lead.
  9. Well done Comets , that was some comeback, shame that it has been difficult to get all your fixtures in , as you are the best team in the league this year and should come away with some silverware by the end of the season, I do hope that we can spoil your Party by puting you out of play offs , but that is subject to my team stepping up, which is unpredictable, if the comets put us Tigers out , then I hope you go on and win the treble, you deserve it.
  10. Its small and technical, they have a better home track advantage than Arena Essex / Lakeside
  11. Can't believe I am saying this but good luck Monarchs at least with Monarch fans we (weegies) get the usual banter, so hopefully Monarchs hump the Comets, as their fans come across as envious moaners who play the victim role. The Comets team have done very well this year and deservedly so , but certain fans seem to think that other teams should jump to their demands because they have a problem fitting their fixtures in after not having any during the long hot summer.
  12. I am not against Glasgow going to Workington on a Saturday just not on gp weekend, we can race any night at home
  13. Why should we choose to go to Workington without our no 1, (although we may have to now, ) No team in their right mind would choose to do so.
  14. Quite an achievement considering our inconsistency, well done lads, can we keep Cookie next year Pleeeeease . He is delightful to watch and is an inspiration to the team.
  15. Not sure if we will win play offs (Glasgow) but you are right about Cookie he has been inspirational on and off the track and has brought a magical feelgood about the place, feelgood factor has been missing since last years bust up at Berwick and again when Stewart Dickson quit. Even if we dont win it , the fans go into the off season on a high due to the Cookie factor. We were jealous of that when Cookie was at Edinburgh.
  16. Great to see Berwick and Workington do well in the league, for Glasgow our low was losing Lewis Kerr as he was having a great season, but the upside to that is having Craig Cook join us, he has been inspirational in turning our season around and is a delight to watch as well as being an absolute gentleman with giving time to fans. Drew Kemp : what a prospect that young man is, he was amazing at Glasgow. Lows are all the injuries this year which have affected teams and the closure of Rye House and Lakeside having to move home
  17. Looking forward to listening in to this weeks episode of tapes up, nice for us to have bragging rights for a change
  18. Shocking referee , let the hammers have rolling starts all night, heat 15 Nick lifted on bend 2 and went into air fence , craig laid the bike down and it was all 4 back strangest 1st bend I have seen, I dont mind getting beat and was happy for lakeside to win , but they denied us a chance of a point by saying all 4 back when Nick should have been excluded . Also Psul Starke should have been in heat 15 as bomber was having a mare of a night and Paul had beaten Adam Ellis in heat 14. Hope young Zach is ok , that was a big get off he had.
  19. Really ? Have you ever seen Craig Cook unmotivated?
  20. Thought you couldn't use guests from other play off teams?
