Was a bit close early on, not a classic due to a slick track, hopefully be better next week, I felt that the Glasgow boys were faster than the scorps who gated but although they tried everything couldn't get past. Richie Worrall looked particularly frustrated at one point as he had so much speed. Top 3 did what was expected and Nike was probably worth more points than he got. Dan and Jack will need a bit of time, but I was impressed with Tom Perry perhaps if Dan takes time to settle then there may be a swap of positions between the two early season. For the Scorpions, I was impressed with Fritz Wallner, he looks a cracking racer a bit like Nike, a joy to watch, look forward to seeing him at his home track when we are down next week. Loved the atmosphere when it got dark and we were racing under the lights, only downside was that it was a little difficult to fill in the programme when sitting in the front of the stand, will need to use a torch. All in all I am looking forward to a cracking season... Mon the Tigers

Beautiful day for press and practice... looking forward to seeing how our new boys do, I reckon we have an exciting team, yes we are a bit top heavy with our top 3 averaging over 8 but there is potential with our youngsters if they can stay injury free. This is the year that Nike needs to be consistent, he is an exciting racer but can be a bit accident prone

Glasgow did groupon a couple of years ago , before the Facenna's took over

Hope for the Lions fans you get the Edinburgh Wolbert and not the Glasgow one ;0 , would have been better of with Sedgy

Championship Teams Comparison Time

you wish . would give us some good bragging rights lol -
really looking forward to my first Ben fund meeting , liking the field so far, would love to add Sam Masters , Justin Sedgeman , Jason Doyle and Freddie Lindgren, think that would be a great measure of how our boys do against some very tough opposition
-
Good luck to the rebels in the top league, hope you do well , I didn't rate the team last year as you had a couple of rookies but the team was excellent and deserved to win the league, there were some cracking tussles with my team ( glasgow), you will be missed in the lower league

Exciting team for Redcar next season , I wish them well, love my trips to bear country. Great fans, deserve a good season for a change. We have been there in the past and are very very lucky to have had the Facennas take over at Glasgow

Like the look of this side, there is room for improvement. Nike has a lot of potential,he never gives up and this is the year be needs to kick on. Jack Smith , I don,t know much about but he should be able to mix it with his fellow 2 pointers. Tom Perry has had some good meetings at Glasgow in the past and was doing well at Peterborough before his injury, so I am happy with his inclusion, we know what our 3 heatleaders can do, they just need a bit of consistency when the going gets tough. As for young Dan, I was very impressed with him, even though he rode for the dark side, he was fast out the gate and shows incredible skill for one so young, if he can come back from his serious injury then I think he will be the one who will do a Richie Worrall and increase his average by about 2 points. There are some strong looking teams in the championship next year( even Redcar )so definitely looking forward to March....bring it on

sissis doesn't fit, reckon it is Bewley and lunna
-
I think it will be Nike Lunna announced tomorrow
-
Danny posted that he is not at Glasgow in 2017, my guess is Tom Perry and Jack Smith at reserve
-
Danny has stated he is not back at Glasgow in 2017 , said the travelling got a bit much, so would that then be Tom Perry at 6?
-
Danny has room for improvement if he can settle down and stop going for the big blast around the boards causing him to make mistakes, he can gate and he was very good at certain away tracks, Ipswich and Newcastle in KO cup, he was seeing these tracks for the first time and he was only 1 of 5 who managed to raise their average. Of the others who increased their average they had previous PL experience, such as Liam Carr and Tom Perry etc. So considering his inexperience Danny has done well and should be given another chance
-
Who is next to be announced ? My guess is either Nike Lunna or Richie Worrall, leaving new riders to the last
-
Nike has an actual average of 4.90 so coming in on a 5 shouldn't be a problem. If we have Aaron, Richie and Richard then we need improvers for the rest, Nike should do that and hopefully if we have Bewely then he should reach almost 6 if he continues how he was at the end of season that wouldn't leave much for our 2 reserves. Would ideally like Bewely at reserve but I am sure he wouldn't be fazed as a second string, however it is all speculation depending on the strength of our heatleaders
-
I see Nike and Coty have been saddled with a 5 average according to the final greensheet averages and Arthur Sissis too
-
Cue ball it has been confirmed on numerous threads that newbies are a 2

Ben has just posted on facebook that he is not required by Ipswich next season
