  1. When the powers that be treat it as a training territory rather than a proper league, what do you expect? The difficult was the team’s within it were treating it as a 3rd tier and the pricing structure, especially Kent’s, reflected that. But we know that nothing in any walk of life ever goes down in price, just the product on offer declines!
  2. Is this actually a rule or have the management committee just permitted it citing special Covid circumstances?
  3. Yes it was. I meant how many people usually attend Championship meetings? I wondered how many less went tonight.
  4. Ruddick’s score was like he had a point to prove! And Hagon was very impressive on presumably his first time up there. For reference, what’s an average Championship crowd?
  5. Still it’s an away win against a title contender S4K! Royals must be title favourites now??
  6. Hopefully the Berwick public support the standalone meetings too. It’s just a shame for them that Mildenhall are arriving under strength.
  7. Pretty poor to go with R/R. Surely they could’ve found someone to guest as this looked a prime opportunity for away points to capitalise on Eastbourne’s weakened team!
  8. This seems to be the test of bringing riders back from retirement! Crang averaged above 8 for Coventry so he’s not a bad rider at all. Flint is in excellent form so it’s a step down for the Bullets but they’ve definitely found a useful replacement.
  9. Fair enough. I forgot that Flint had attained a new average.
  10. Clegg’s average is far too high. Is Bailey in the UK and wanting a team?
  11. Unfortunate for Berwick and their fans that Flint will be moving on but a big plus for him and his development. The Bullets have made a strong start so hopefully they can get a good like for like replacement to keep the fans’ interest.
  12. R/R could strengthen the Scorpions seeing as all of them can take a ride and Aarnio has been in indifferent form.
  13. Isn’t the point to give the young riders time to progress? We all knew that with so many coming in at once some would struggle. Especially the ones like Davies who have a new home track and don’t even get the luxury of being at reserve and heat 2
  14. It wouldn’t really be a normal challenge meeting if they managed to get all 7 Gems to come. They would’ve been there anyway so don’t they all fancy a bit of extra track time at a new track?
  15. You can use an unattached 3.00 rider but not one contracted to another team.
  16. Can Knight really be classed as a rising star though? Or could they get Bowtell to become a rising star and use the added points at the first set of averages to sign someone even better.
  17. That’s crazy really that a team can have a higher rated Rising Star as a guest that they one they actually own! When every other rider has a guest covering him, it’s just up to his average irrespective of the team’s total average. So it should be the same for Rising Stars.
  18. I do like Woodhull but it seems a bizarre choice. Colts have Compton as their elder statesman and JPB & Coles who can hold their own easily. I’d have thought Woodhull would be best concentrating on his own improvements rather than giving him the responsibility of sorting out his senior riders.
  19. Clegg and Greaves should go through the card apart from when meeting each other. Phillips & Woolley look like they should do well too with not much other heat leader threat coming from the Gems. Hopefully Rothery continues his fine form but after the first 2 meetings, no-one will begrudge him a poorer one.
  20. Tickets on sale now! Has it been mentioned what happens if the meeting is rained off between buying the tickets and the start time? I assume everyone gets a refund.
