  1. What time is the next rider announced ?
  2. That is what should be charged for NL Speedway. It is a development League with some riders finding it hard to do 4 laps. Plus older VERY experienced riders. Well done Plymouth.
  3. Agree. Talking of Mason as a Heat Leader is just insane. He was nowhere near a Heat Leader at Kent. To be a Heat Leader you have to bang in big points Home and AWAY ???
  4. I have been critical of the Kent team building for this year but one good move was leaving Mason out. You want to go to Speedway to be excited with what you see (the riders). Trouble is you know what you will get with Mason. Steady job at Home, struggle away,OK when gates infront but will not doing anything from behind. Do not blame him for doing what he feels comfortable with at his age.
  5. With the riders that are left I would be surprised if that is not very close to the line-up. Agree it would not look very exciting and not a patch on last years team. Not having EITHER of the teams ENTERTAINERS back is nothing short of a public disaster. Kent supporters deserve better, but this will not happen until things change at the Club.IMHO.
  6. I think that going for a grass-tracker like Harland is a good move.
  7. Congratulations for being judged Programme of the year 2016. A superb production from a NL Club. Well done.
  8. RIP Bryn. Someone who was devoted to the sport.
  9. Can someone please confirm Hopwoods average.... Cheers.
  10. it has all gone a bit quiet on the team building (chucking together) front! Perhaps they are really struggling to find any back up to Bowen ? Perhaps they realise what a c**k up it was not including Ayres or Shanes?
  11. Don`t be silly, that would be too sensible. It is Mr Silvers way and no other !!!!
  12. I agree. With Bowen signed and the 39 points limit,I get the impression the team will be thrown together, rather than built. Who will be the two 3 pointers? And are there any out there that could make an impact like young Thomas? Also Bowen will need support at top of team. Is Hopwood still an option? Who else is in the running.
  13. You are very much like me. 2017 will be Kings 5th season and disappointed Club is still in the NL. I went to a few meetings last season but for various reasons did not go to as many as I had done previous. No secret I am no fan of Mr Silver, the way he goes about things,to much influence on team building etc etc. The Stadium in ideal for Speedway and the Club have loyal support. I know the curfew is still a problem, but the way things are going I cannot see myself going much again next year. Shame the Club has stood still since the exciting opening in 2013.
  14. This is exactly why I maintain Kent Kings would be much better off with NO Mr Silver. I expected Mr Silver to be around for 2 or 3 seasons. Kent enter their 5th season and he is still influencing everything at the Club. As Waco said,he wanted Bowen and because of that there is NO Shanes or Ayres. I can see a struggle ahead for Kings.Hope I am wrong.
  15. Can understand your concern. But,Perry,Ayres and Greenwood.... wow. I can tell you that Kent supporters are not happy that Ayres and Shanes are not coming back in 2017. Signing Bowen early by Mr Silver was a poor move. IMHO.
  16. With points limit now agreed,I expected a flood of signings? We all know some riders would have agreed move verbally before AGM.
  17. It is true. I and other Kent followers get e-mail from the Club (len) with updates - so no secret. Shanes is out. The Club wanted Danny and James (only one was really possible ). To end up with NEITHER is quite honestly - p**s poor. Bacon would be good - young and rides Central Park well.
  18. Been told that if points limit was 40- Shane in, 39 out. Signing Bowen early was a poor move. Not having either Ayres or Shanes is a blow if you like entertaining, exciting Speedway ... IMHO.
  19. Sounds like Shanes will not be back at Kent. A real blow to Kings supporters that the big entertainers Danny and James will not return.
  20. Are you confident Shanes will return ? Hopwood a steal on his average, but can see him going elsewhere.
  21. Sounds like Kings and Eagles are going to meet up regular! In the same group in the NT. And drawn together in the NLKOC. As well as NL fixtures. Kent first fixture is on Good Friday. Please do NOT have a Challenge against the EAGLES?
  22. Be surprised if Ben Morley is not one of Lakesides first signings.
