I have mentioned this before, Glasgow have sacked their whole 2017 team, that now includes the team manager! Does anyone know if this has ever happened in speedway before anywhere else? remembering it's the same owners in charge. The Facennas are obviously very successful outside of speedway, are they trying to buy success like many "well-to-doos" try to do with football, could be a dangerous ploy if success doesn't come their way what will become of the Tigers?

Nothing personnel, but the common consensus that Jason Doyle just up'ed his game & became world champion is not how I see it. He spent several season held back by a recurring shoulder injury & it was only after major surgery on that shoulder did his experience, riding ability & along with his single minded determination did he get to where he is now - #1.

My own thoughts exactly Najjer! is this a one meeting blip or as you say 2017 take 2.

2018 amendments: Can the tractor driver be excluded/ disqualified if he/she exceeds the 4 minute time limit? With set race nights & careful fixture planning - baring injuries we should have no need for guest or rider replacement facility or have I been mislead?

Does anyone know can Josh speak Polish? this could be a real plus if he does! yes I do know most poles speak reasonable English, however Midlo will have to learn to talk a little slower when communicating with most team members...............

Race suits v Race jackets: As with most things we will all find Matt is a thinking a few steps ahead of what's been said currently!

Pros & cons with either I think: 1. Nothing worse than having 5 suited & your other riders 2 wearing colours of another teams. 2. Suits not good when both teams look identical. 3. Suits not so good when identifying visiting riders - or even your own! 4. Suits of the same team can look completely different when made by different manufacturers. 5. Riders race numbers are often hard to see on race suits & often in different colours for the same team. 6. With no team suits this could give a riders a fantastic marketing opportunity i.e. Ray Wilson with Bostic - I still remember that after how many years?

You need to get a "BOX FRAME" I've just got one @ the cost of around £60 this is a quality item BUT I now have to mount the race jacket myself. For the same supplier to finish the whole job they wanted around £150! I have been @ charity auctions in the past were a mounted football shirt has made very little money - this would/could be a good move to buy one of these to re-use. The framed print @ paradise park was on Mick Hooker's (speedway star) stall.

I think we all know that the Chris Holder (+ others) v King's Lynn track/ Buster Chapman did our beloved sport no favours what so ever. But I thought opinion @ the time was 50% 50% who was @ fault. Fact is the King's Lynn track was dangerous!

Marcus Bisson was not just a speedway rider he also rode: Sandracing ( Certainly the best in G.B. in his heyday). Grass Track ( top level including one half of British pairs champions). Hill Climb (accomplished rider with several records I believe). Road Racing (rode in the manx with times to qualify for the following years TT didn't get a ride due to oversubscribed centenary). Moto X (not sure what results are other than a broken leg). Conclusion, the top channel Island motor cyclist with out doubt, & up there with the great Arthur Browning as Great Britain's top all rounders. P.S. Terry le Maine? was a sand racer who had second halfs @ Exeter 1967ish I remember that he crashed a lot. Later to become big in C.I. government.

I think your memory may be playing tricks with you!! I will ask Jason for his view of events past when I speak to him next. Earlier post: Dan Bewley in my 50+ plus years involvement in Speedway few others have made the impression on me that Dan Bewley already has. He has everything to become a major world force.

For the average speedway you have the times - but the track length is not the distance covered by the riders!

The museum is a great asset for GB speedway, if this was a stand alone facility I don't think it would work! Therefor working with the wildlife park can only be to the benefit of all parties.

To answer the question "Is the league stronger in 2018?"well mathematically an average team any year would be 42 point average, with this years points average limit set @ 42.5 I think this year puts teams pretty much the same as last year! However allowing for E/Fs, exclusions & DNF in 2017 on balance then 2018 would be stronger teams overall. Also with the 1 over 8 rule in place more balanced teams in theory. Just may be the BSPA where not so pi__ed after all @ the AGM.

ALL PROMOTERS please take note.... a good track man has to have more knowledge then being able to drive a tractor! Also with fixed race nights the right man (or woman) cannot be in 2 places on the same night!

I would be sure that Lemo has seen something special in DD. As an ex rider he would know what to look for & how he should adapt to U.K. tracks. Fact is Belle Vue is a track every rider would love as their home track if circumstances permitted, the aces will be up there in 2018 for certain.

I can't see Chris Holder agreeing to return to Wimbourne Road without Matt Ford offering a guarantee of a decent track surface for 2018?

I will be looking forward to the Fen Tigers results in 2018, however I would like to see Robert Henry persuaded to stay on-board & oversee/advise the young team @ home meetings & Kevin Jolly likewise for away meetings. This in no way to undermine Phil? Kirk position as the team manager. It would be great & justified for success to come Mildenhalls way in 2018 & hats off to Kevin Jolly in supporting Jon Armstrong's testimonial meeting - how about a 4 team event representing Mildenhall, Ipswitch, Kings Lynn & Peterborough? picking the right date the most important thing.

How many meetings will be staged in the 2018? can we have a "spring cup" that's 7 home & 7 away, followed by then meet all other reams twice in the league =14 home & 14 away. Careful planing to avoid meeting the same visiting team within 3 weeks! What speedway doesn't need is the stop - start fixtures of the last few years. This would give all teams 21 home & 21 away meetings + play-offs finals etc. Are the powers that be thinking along the same lines?

I can't agree that "good tracks produce boring speedway" if you went to any meeting @ Somerset during the 2017 season & likewise Belle Vue (from what I did see) you would have seen brilliant speedway. It's not good when riders crash - only due track POOR conditions! this is costly on machinery & even worst riders injuries.

Has Buster stated anywhere that the once very good Kings Lynn track will be back to its original high standards for the 2018 season?
