Josh Bates on Twitter:- Just a quick note to once again thank you all for your kind words and support these last few weeks. I hope you all have a great Christmas and I’m working hard to deal with my issues, so thanks again people. JB x

On Twitter, the 6th rider to be announced tomorrow morning.
-
According to the Sheffield Star, the Comets either want Kyle to ride for them, or sell him, but not go on loan. Kyle wants to ride for Sheffield, so things are currently in deadlock.
-
Just imagine Sarjeant, Klindt and Sedgeman in the same team.
-
Similar to Owlerton, but the music there was Entry of the Gladiators.
-
From the Sheffield Star:- Kyle Howarth, last year’s skipper, has gone on record saying he wants to return but much will depend on what his parent club Workington want to do. Tigers have considered making a bid to purchase his contract but nothing has been agreed at this stage.
-
Another good signing by the Promoters. Lasse BJERRE 8.32 Charles WRIGHT 7.47 Josh BATES 6.54 Jack SMITH 2.51 = 24.84 LEAVES 17.66 POINTS FOR LAST THREE.
-
From Lasse Bjerre on Twitter on Friday:- Operation went okay today. More news about when I am fully fit will be out soon.
-
Summat to be called the FIM Speedway of Nations, but they haven't worked out the format yet, or where it will be staged, other than it won't be in Poland.
-
No SWC in 2018.
-
There was talk of a signing on fee and sponsors' money going down the drain because he left suddenly, despite all the help he had been given by Sheffield. Until I see an explanation from him to the contrary, I have no reason to think otherwise. Added 4/12 - Still no explanation from him on today's Speedwaygb site, just that 'he didn't settle'.
-
Riss x2 have signed for Edinburgh.

Scott Nicholls Not Allowed To Ride In The Championship?
Blackadder replied to DC2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The rider in question reneged on an agreement, and signed elsewhere after receiving a better offer. It wasn't Scott Nicholls. -
I hope that any sponsors get value for money this time.
-
James Sarjeant has signed for Glasgow.
-
If BWD signs for Swindon again, I would be surprised to see him signing for a Thursday track.
-
In this week's SS, Damian Bates says that ideally, he hopes the first signings will be completed this week.
-
It could be the answer to James Sarjeant's starting issues that plans to reduce the number of false starts have been given to the SCB.
-
Perhaps it's Monday & Wednesday race nights, clashing with some Danish fixtures, that have seen Leicester not re-signing him.
-
Very surprised at this. Maybe Josh Grajczonek is staying.
-
Ok, if we can't have Heeps, then replace Josh Grajczonek from the 2017 team with Mark Riss or Mason Campton. Speedway needs some continuity with teams from year to year.
-
Definitely not Garrity or Sarjeant. Would like to see Cameron Heeps in the team, as I feel that he will have a good season.
-
Josh Grajczonek has signed for Lodz in Poland.

What Would You Change In Speedway Next Season?
Blackadder replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Change the current start procedures, to allow movement once the green light is on, but any tape touching results in a disqualification, with no reserve replacement or going off 15 metres. At the moment, trying to get 4 riders approaching the first bend at the same time results in too many falls. Tighten up on riders coming to the tapes when called up by the Start Marshall, instead of completely ignoring the instruction. -
They are trying to reduce the numbers of guests and R/R used.
