Surely, if the Redcar promotion preferred Fridays or Saturdays to Thursdays, they would have changed before now.
-
Gedfreygate continues, with Ged and Rob up before the bench, but apparently no sanctions against Jack Holder, Poole or Torun. It can't be right that Torun can offer a bribe in this way, thereby bringing the sport in to disrepute. The FIM should get involved, as the SCB and ACU are powerless to do anything, and the Poles won't be interested in the slightest.

If Mondays and Thursdays were to be the chosen race nights for the PL, Sheffield, Ipswich and Redcar would suffer if they stayed in the CL. If the PL chose Mondays and Wednesdays, only Swindon and those riding in Denmark would suffer. It seems to me that the second option would suit more British supporters than the first one. Sheffield seem to want to stay in the CL, unless a big sponsor comes forward, but if Thursdays were to be a PL race night, Sheffield would try to go for Wednesdays, with Sundays as the alternative.

It shouldn't affect Sheffield at all. Josh Grajczonek rode in Poland in 2017, and it didn't cause any issues.

Yes, he has signed for Greg Hancock's new team Rzeszow in Poland's Division Two.

Enlarging the hat for another name - Cameron Heeps.

Did the SCB hearing scheduled for Tuesday 7/11 take place? Not seen anything about it.
-
I wouldn't like to see Holder anywhere near Owlerton. Completely untrustworthy.

Now we know where the idea came from if/when they introduce the new rule!!!
-
He will probably ride for the team that pays the most money.

Rathbone/godfrey Allegations
Blackadder replied to wealdstone's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Were Poole, as visa sponsor, consulted about Holder's intention to ignore the SCB regulation? If not, perhaps a sponsoring club should have to approve where one of their riders works. The Border Agency wouldn't think twice about making things more difficult for future applicants for a visa. Some people seem to think that Holder's actions weren't serious, but what if every rider took his attitude? Even more chaos, and we have had enough of that this season. Bans for Jake Knight and Craig Cook, but not for Holder or Sedgemen. Doesn't seem right to me.- 114 replies

Rathbone/godfrey Allegations

Regulations for the SGBCL Fours are clear. Asking someone if they can be broken is daft. -
Holder, Sedgemen and Parkinson-Blackburn would be a good start for 2018. All very reliable, as Boycie would say. (The Peckham one, not the Craig one).
-
Team spirit seems much better when Holder is absent.
-
Not so sure about his integrity.
-
If Holder gets away without a ban for his antics this season, then the authorities should hang their heads in shame.

This Sums Up The State Of British Speedway For Me...
Blackadder replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
This was tried, with Maurice Ducker, but he gave up when there were no brick walls left to bang his head against. -
From the Ipswich web site:- Rory Schlein suffered a badly sprained ankle in a crash which has brought his season to an end. The home side have moved to book Scott Nicholls to cover the Australians absence, a booking sure to get fans talking on the terraces as the Ipswich-born rider rides for the side he won the treble with in 1998. Rider replacement continues to be used for Justin Sedgmen at two. The visitors are without three members of their side for Thursdays clash. Number one Jack Holder is still out with rider replacement being used at one. Pooles James Shanes guests at two for the absent Bradley Wilson-Dean with Jack Parkinson-Blackburn named at number seven for the injured Tom Bacon. The above states that Holder is still out, and Wilson-Dean is absent. Why not say what the reasons for absence are?

What Would You Change In Speedway Next Season?
Blackadder replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A few years ago, a former promoter told me that attending BSPA AGMs was like being in a bear pit. I'm hoping that the new breed can start to turn things around, if it's not too late. -
