  4. I think Simon Stead has done a great job as Team Manager, and I hope he is back next year. (TIC)
  5. From the Glasgow web site:- Ashley Morris and James Sarjeant will stand in tonight at Edinburgh, with Jake Allen, Stuart Robson and Simon Lambert guesting tomorrow – when Lawson is also absent due to commitments in the Premiership – and David Howe and Mitchell Davey will don Tigers racejackets on Sunday.

  7. From memory, he retired from refereeing because of business reasons.
  8. The stadium was unavailable on July 6th due to maintenance work, and Sheffield could not get a CL team to come on August 3rd.
  9. I spoke with Referee Chris Gay a few months ago about Frank, and he was alive and well at the time.
  10. Although it is not in the SCB Rule Book, I'm sure that facilities have been granted for the Masters in the past.
  11. An abysmal performance by both of the Peterborough and Workington web sites for this weekend.
  12. Teams announced earlier, but could be changes, i.e. possible doubts about Jason Garrity & Ben Barker. 15. The first heat should start at the advertised time, or a minute or two later. Football starts at the advertised time, as do other sports. Football's version of the parade would be the players running onto the pitch and warming up, ready to start at the advertised time.

  17. There was a statement on the Peterborough web site on 31st August. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3188.2
  18. Unbelievable. A very impressive performance from the riders and management at Sheffield. I thought we would be lucky to get 35, and there was absolutely no chance of even getting a point, never mind a win. Thanks to the 2 juniors for stepping in and gaining some experience for themselves when no one else would assist, and to Lewis Kerr for his efforts.
  19. From Simon Stead on Sheffield Tigers Twitter this morning:- If the transfer window was still open I'd be dusting my kevlars off for tonight! 3 riders out & no available riders wanting a guest booking.
  20. According to Speedway Updates, Lasse Bjerre has withdrawn from the meeting at Leicester tonight, after being brought down by Jacob Thorsell.
  21. Nice comment from Carl Johnson in this week's SS, complaining that Swindon may want to delay BWD's return from injury, meaning that Peterborough will miss out on his services. "We want to finish as high as we can in the Championship".
