  1. i work with a lot of them on my shift and all they talk about is speedway but they dont go.going to have to ask the question now next shift.
  2. what i find strange is the poles love speedway and we probably have more of them over here than there are in Poland (sorry i had to get that one in) i cant say i have noticed any of them attending speedway why is that anyone got any thoughts? can we not tempt a few of them though the door.
  3. well if thats the case then it should be an easy night for kennet and jakobsen they should score at least 28 points without a double or r/r ride, ellis maybe 12 or 14 the rest who knows you could find yourself in trouble.forget that idea start them all off together and give yourself a chance lol.
  4. he's not a new face rode for sheffield had 11 rides had 1 ex,7 lasts and three thirds and that was because there was only three race finishers the other riders retired. maybe come on a bit since then i hope so for rye's sake.that was his home record not sure what he did away.
  5. linus eklof would of fitted in,he would be a good second string.is maassen the guy who couldn't buy a point when he rode for sheffield a couple of years back?
  6. what about the french guy mat tresarrieu what was his average? or josef franc maybe.
  7. i see anders has been named to ride for valsarna tomorrow.
  8. whatever decision you come too in the future rob hold your head very very high and be very proud of what you have achieved at scunthorpe and i am sure i speak for many others when i say this scunthorpe speedway and yourself, your back room staff will be a massive loss to British speedway if you shut shop.
  9. ask nemo to cover for a while (if his average fits) while david gets his shoulder sorted.
  10. maybe you could tempt nemo over his average must be around 7.33 or make a couple of changers bring a higher average rider in but then depends who you bring in you could loose out lower down.interesting times ahead, have to feel for david howe he must be gutted he is back to square one with his shoulder problem.
  11. what a waste of space boxhall is it beggars the question why.
  12. what about the head butt masters dished out on bjerre 5 mins later in the pits, that seems to of gone unnoticed. unnecessary, uncalled for behavior that warrants masters to come out and make a public apology, after all this is a family sport.
  13. and dont forget having a clueless team manager is not helping or is this what your referring too?
  14. could be a safe bet for barker but there again he does like to gamble.
  15. he also has rods, plates and screws holding his spine together so i would say its a miracle the guy is even back on a bike.ask him to lift up his tee shirt next time you see him you just might be shocked.i would say it could take years to get over that injury not half a season and a whole winter so well done anders.
  16. but wasn't bellego in last place with mellgren 2nd and edward 3rd managing to avoid him? a report i read suggests sheffield were on a 5 1 at the time not that it makes any difference.steady a top guy and a top rider i hope all goes well in his recovery.
  17. is it not possible for plymouth to find a rider to stand in for fisher for a couple of months until his visa issue is sorted, maybe someone who does not want to do a full season in the uk? nemo or karlsson are a couple of names that spring to mind.
  18. it seems that guy martin would be a popular addition to a race night for various reasons would any of the management like to comment on the possibility of being able to get him down one night? i think guy would stir up a lot of interest and maybe bring some new faces through the door.
  19. After reading this topic with much interest on thoughts of how to try and get a few more through the turnstiles I have an idea milling around that the management may like to consider. After his recent enormous television success a person who we have all come to love for a variety of reasons and according to what was said on the programs lives very local to Scunthorpe - Guy Martin. Guy has a massive interest as we all know in motorcycle racing. A person who I'm sure ninety percent of the UK would love to meet - would it not be possible to invite him down one race night? I'm sure if it was well advertised that he was making an appearance it would pull a lot of new faces through the turnstiles. Be it maybe for only one night a big turnout there could also possibly be some newbies that have never seen speedway before that may just think "I've enjoyed the meeting, I've enjoyed watching the speedway and want to give it another go" Guy himself if asked may even do a couple of demonstration laps if some one were to lend him a bike. Maybe even if asked nicely may bring along and demonstrate on the infield his Spitfire trailer mounted engine which was featured on one of his program's.not sure if asking him down would cost any money but popping the question would be free, Nothing ventured nothing gained.
