So the joke continues with the 125/150 class.

Should the Championships fall in line with other European Nations and ride 125cc, 190cc, 250cc/500r and 500cc classes? The 125cc/150cc classes are presently mixed and flawed beyond redemption. Many of the 150cc bikes have their seals broken and would be found oversize if used abroad. The SGP4 is specifically for 190cc bikes and are not presently used in any UK competitive racing, so how can any British riders compete without the experience of riding them?

Silly question, but how can anyone run the league properly when their are no riders?

Not being pedantic but could the Dukes enter a team? MDL allows nick names of previously defunct tracks for obvious reasons so why cannot the NJL not allow it also?

Everyone complains about the lack of track time and opportunities available for prospective new riders to try speedway....... Fact Not many tracks offer opportunities, but different organisations offer these to facilitate new riders. They also give opportunities to facilitate rider improvement and enhancement. What actually happens is that their is no communication between each track when they offer these facilities and they conflict. Would it not be better that all tracks and training facilities communicate with each other so no conflict of same day activity conflict, meaning lack of numbers deem they cannot take place due to lack of number and all are cancelled due to lack of numbers?

It is hard to believe how naïve so many of the contributors on here are. Opportunities are plentiful, if only you take the time to look. Scunthorpe and Leicester host plentiful practises and training. One of the biggest problems are people stating nothing is available, when it actually is!

Scunthorpe stream the majority of their home meetings by themselves and would highly recommend everyone to watch any of them. The entertainment value served up by the presenters alone is far superior to any other streaming service and fantastic speedway on top.

Having run teams in both the Initial MDL and in NJL leagues with a view of reintroducing a venture in Halifax, this particular team gave opportunities to now established riders and sadly ones who walked away from the sport. In and around West Yorkshire the publicity not only kept the name alive but an interest that sadly now has waned. Some of the meetings had more than normal in attendance as lapsed fans returned for a look at what was going on. Unfortunately it was not to be in Halifax with a council hell bent on not allowing a return, but whilst the Ghost team ran so did riding opportunities. Given the prospect of any potential return from a Ghost team, then why not allow them to run on the proviso of a planning application.
