  1. I think that he maybe put under pressure to take a nomination, I just hope for his sake that he turns down the opportunity.
  2. To be honest I have to agree with what you are saying, and I am a Tai fan. The big problem with British speedway is that at the present we do not have the talent coming through and have not done for sometime, and the insitance that Britain should have two riders in the Grand Prix is ruining the lads career if they insist on two riders for next year because after Bomber I still think that he is Britain's best rider. I also think that by having just one rider like Bomber in the series will give us a kick up the backside as a speedway nation and address the problems of why we are not bringing riders on, and do something about it.
  3. I would agree with those sentiments, I think the fact that AJ won the last GP should not go unnoticed, and that Nicki Pedersen has been coming back into some decent form in the GP's this season. The fact that Janusz Kolodziej has done two wild cards this season, and performed very well on both occasions and has had a fine season means that he sould get a pick. And to have a GP series without Emil Sajfutdinov, would be unthinkable. I think now is the time for Hans Andersen to take a break from the GP's and re-group and maybe comeback.
  4. Looking at the major riders likely to miss the cut after tonight meeting, I reckon that Jonssson and Andersen are two thatcould miss out, and I can see Nicki Pedersen get a wild card entry to next seasons GP. After Nicki you have to say Sayfutdinov, the guy has so much talent and not give the guy a spot in GP would be madness. I also reckon that Kolodziej should be the next rider to be given a pick, there might be problems with the fact that the GP already has a number of Poles, but I think that he has earnt his place and if you are going to use the wild card entries to assess riders abilities then you have to include him as he has been the best Wild Card this season by a long way. The Final pick is a difficult one, based on Bomber qualifing out right I don't think that GB should have another entry, and that means no place for Tai Woffinden, I am a Tai fan but I think that he needs to go back and re group. They could go for Darcy Ward, but I think that it would be madness for him to take it on, he only has to see what has happened to Tai this season to get an idea of what can happen. You can agrue that Darcy is at a similar level to Emil when he came into the Grand Prix, but I think that Emil is far more metally mature than Darcy, and Darcy's time will come. So my choices would be; (1) Emil Sayfutdinov (2) Nicki Pedersen (3) Janus Kolodziej (4) Chris Harris (if not an automatic qualifier), Hans Andersen or Andreas Jonsson.
  5. You make some decent points, one that Chris Harris was picked because he was British, but this season he should now qualify out right, and is showing that he is becoming a quality rider. The riders mentioned by Shovlar Nicholls, Richardson and Kennett would not have made the impact that Bomber has made this season.
  6. If Emil is going to leave Bydgoszcz, where to next for him.
  7. Missed this one due to been at work, so a big Well Done to Mr Kolodziej, who for me has been consistently the best Pole aside Gollob and Hampel, would be a travesty if he was not given one of the picks for the Grand Prix.
  8. Does anyone have any further news on this fixture, or any weather updates.
  9. Well that is my Sunday sorted, I will take Zielona to beat Gorzow, Leszno to win and Torun.
  10. Hats off to both riders, Buzz must be old enough to be Tom Perry's Dad.
  11. I cannot see Gorzow getting anything at Leszno, especially with Nicki Pedersen been out for Gorzow. I fancy Torun getting a win at Wroclaw especially after seeing them beat Leszno.
  12. I think you are wrong there statistics show that riders are reluctant to come and ride in the Elite League. I am not sure diluting the league is such a good idea the last time they did that there was an uproar on here. Maybe if Elite League teams were made to have one British rider at reserve or two doubling British riders under the age of say of 23, and let these riders do all the Guest bookings that become available in the Premier League. The one thing that the riders complain about is that do take the plunge up into the Elite League is the lack of opportnities that they get to earn money.
  13. Maybe they look at some of the Elite League teams and see how much they are losing, from what I can see there are not that many of them making any money.
  14. You say World Class riders ride in the Elite League, 60% of the Grand Prix riders do not ride in the Elite League, and there many more that are on the fringes of the Grand Prix do ride in the Elite. The numbers hav e been falling steadily over recent years, and I think that it will conitnue to fall.
  15. So we should have gone with the other candidate Roscoe who has achieved what?
  16. Had to come soon or later that we would agree on something, and twice in one night as I agree with you as well.
  17. Have to agree with everything you say, the Aussie boys had obviously read the Steve Shovlar script who was going to win. The larking about with the helmet cam made them look like a bunch of school girls, and if Holder had put as much energy into getting out of the gate as did larking about with his Aussie mate maybe they might not have been in the postion that they are in now. Lets hope that we finally let Tai get on with his racing rather than questioning the lads commitment to this country, like you say if anyone has any doubts tonight dispelled them. I would also add that Rob Lyon seems to have got the team pulling and moving in the right direction, he appeared to be the coolest man in the stadium, would the other candidate when he got the job Roscoe been the same I don't think so. Okay we probably don't stand much chance of winning the Final, and we still hav e a long way to go, but tonight was a step in the right direction.
  18. Lets actually look at what Mr Shovlar said; Question 1 Its not an Elite track that the Team GB regularly, well okay but it is also a track that the opposition will have rode on regular basis with the exception of Darcy Ward, but how does he know that the Team Manager of Team GB has not arranged for the riders to have a private practice. Question 2 its not an Elite track, no it not but why should it be why should it be an Elite track, why does it have to be that Elite has the monopoly on International meetings. Question 3 Okay I will accept that Kings Lynn is not the easiest place to get to. Question 4; Yes they were brought up on the Kings Lynn track, but young Darcy Ward clearly stated tonight that Kings Lynn was not his favourite track. Question 5 Coventry I might accept, and at push Monmore Green but seriously Poole when was the last time a British rider let alone one the squad rode for Poole, and also three of the Aussie squad ride for Poole. Question 6 Clearly you got that one completely wrong Steve as the only walk in the park that the Aussies are doing is to Vojens.
  19. Wonder what the Steve Shovlar Elite League gang are going come up with now, wrong Team Manager, wrong track chosen. Well Done to British lads and Rob Lyon who looked the coolest dude in the stadium for those who were clambouring for Roscoe to be the Team Manager would he have kept his cool. And finally can we please stop putting the young 19 year old under the microscope and let him get on with his riding.
