Cheap Air Horns For Cardiff & Swc
spin king replied to Noodles's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't know what they did last year, but the year before they were searching everybody for air horns before entering the stadium, you could only use the airhorns that were purchase in the stadium, and they were alot more expensive than the ones that they were selling outside the stadium. -
Leszno Gp - 24th April 2010
spin king replied to GregM's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Absolute cracking Grand Prix, and something I have been waiting for sometime. Surely Ole Olsen should be banned from all speedway tracks in the World, as soon as he leaves the Grand Prix the meetings get 100% better, and big Well Done for Tony Olsson for doing the blindingly obvious. Also enjoyed listening to Gary Havelock in the studio, never afraid to speak his mind and been brutally honest. As for the Brits, Well Done Bomber Harris, a semi final place and 1st Grand Prix up into 8th place is a decent start, Tai looked out of sorts and never got going, but his first Grand Prix, and I am sure that he learn from the experience. End of the day the best rider won for me overall, but plenty suggest that this could well be a very competitive Grand Prix series and I for one are looking forward to the next one, a long time since I could sauy that. -
I too have never seen that clip before, but it is truely inspirational.

What about Steve Baker and Rene Aas.

Its called money= top brief.

Don't givw up the day jobs guys.
-
Could he be the same Howard Cole, who went onto ride for Cradley and Stoke.
-
If these reports are true then it is a very sad day for speedway.
-
Well Done and like Superguest says looks like Sam Masters is a name to look out for, also looking at the list of scorers how long before the name Tyson Nelson starts attracting attention, although I believe that Rob Godfrey at Scunthorpe has already spoken to him.

I got my copy on Christmas, young Spin Junior bought it me, and it was a really good read, when Len eventually leaves speedway the sport will have lost a great character. I was very pleased to see that the profits for the book were going to the Ben Fund, Well Done to all concern.

Bydgoszcz Hotels 2010

Cannot you and your ex please not air you dirty laundry on a public forum, try PM each other rather dragging out yet another one your many disagreements out into the public domain. Or at least have the common decency to make a thread that warns us that we have to read this rubbish, and try and show some dignity for your daughter. -
2010 Grand Prix wildcards
spin king replied to gaztrotter's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think that Tai Woffenden is a good choice, but do think that Bomber can consider himself to be very lucky, the other two are really no brainers. -
Really looking forward to the Malcolm Simmons column, I thought it was excellent and very current, I hope the Bruce Penhall one is better, either way I look forward to this excellent publication.

Future of the GP's...?
spin king replied to Sprog1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
To be honest I thought it was Gary Havelock who said that, but not to worry who said it they got it completely right, Ole Olsen is killing the sport, totally one dimensional and void of ideas on track preparation. -
British Riders
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think that he is a bright intelligent young lad, and after listening to him on Sky I think that he would have the correct mental attitude to cope with it,the thing that would need to do is surround himself with the correct people, and I am sure that would happen. -
British Riders
spin king replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think that if GB are to be given two wild card entries, then I think that two new riders should be given a chance , so I would go for Tai Woffenden and Lee Richardson, but who knows maybe the organisers will not choose any British riders. -
GREEN, Randy - Born: Great Falls, U.S.A. 25 July 1964 Signed by Hackney as an unknown in 1987 and after losing his place in the London side, moved north to Bradford. Found himself surplus to requirements at Odsal during 1988 and figured in a mid season move to Sheffield. Rode in six official fixtures for the Tigers and although his spell was interrupted by injury he proved to be a popular member of the team. Failed to win another team place in Britain after the Tigers closed at the end of the season. Matches Rides Points Bonus Total Average 6 19 16 3 19 4.00 Might jog your memory.

I love the magazine in its present format, to take it on the net would not be for, and I would not have the patience to read it, love the Rod Haynes column, and how about interview some of the present day riders who rode in the 80's that are still riding, and find out what they find different, Paul Fry,Mark Burrows,Gary Havelock and it would be very interesting to hear the views of Andy Silver. Also how about a feature on Polish riders, akin to the one for the USA riders, could do the same for the Swedes, Danes, Aussies and the Czech's. I totally disagree that the magazine has run out of things to discuss, and I still think that it an excellent publication.

Scott Nicholls
spin king replied to 2ndbendbeerhut's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Read what went off, and what is the problem, Scott said he wanted to ride, Rob Lyon tells him not good idea. -
Who knows, but Scott was announced as captain when the squad was announced so one would presume that he was the squad captain. I would have expected Scott to assume the role that Lee took on at Peterborough, and I think that the only two people that know why Scott was not at Peterborough are him and Rob Lyon.
-
The one thing that you are guaranteed with Lee Richardson is when the Team GB body colour comes out you tend to get the best out of him, more than any other rider in recent years and very rarely lets us down. The one thing that has come out with this years competition has been his leadership skills, and his acceptance of what we need to do as a Nation and his willingness to step aside for the sake of the future of British speedway. This time we had Scott Nicholls as captain of the Team GB squad and Chris Harris as the captain of Team GB,maybe it is time to give Lee the job, and I am sure that it has not gone unnoticed with Rob Lyon I hope.

Lyons Should Have Picked Scotty
spin king replied to sunnysally's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Should Rob Lyon have picked Scott Nicholls. I like Scott, but this season, he has looked off form, and disinterest, if you look at his body language it gives you the impression that he is rider who is not happy. Did he need the World Team Cup as an extra pressure, where lets face it he would have been expected to lead the team, did he need it was he capable of it, I genuinely think that he was not, and I think that if asked Scott himself he would tell he was not either. Onto Rob Lyon, the one thing that impressed me, was how cool and calm his approach is,does not appear to lose his cool and very calm. The one thing that appears to have instilled with the riders is teamwork, over the period that the team were in the competition they actually looked and acted like a team, even the riders who were dropped or were not included in the first meeting were there to give support and advice which is a good sign. I have seen alot about the so called feud between Scott and Bomber, I don't think it was there.and if it was it not their any longer. I remember seeing Bomber have a nasty accident in the practice session for one of the Grand Prix, one the first people to go over to see to Bomber was Scott, not the actions of two feuding riders. What everyone in this country has to grip on is that we have fallen way behind other Nations, what is needed is new ideas and a,new approach,we need to introduce new blood, young hungry riders. We have to accept that on occasions we might sink, but the main thing that we need to accept is that success will not happen over night, and regardless who is in charge be it Rob Lyon, Rosco, Middlo or the Queen of Sheba its going to take time. I have to say that in Rob Lyon we have in my opinion got the right man for the job,to replace him would be wrong, the guy has improved the standing of Team GB, it might only be small steps but that is what it will take I am afraid, and anyone who thinks that other could make a better job of is deluded. -
Tai Or Kenett
spin king replied to Tommy Sweetman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Before the meeting yesterday I would have said bring in Lee Richardson and Scott Nicholls for Lewis Bridger and Danny King, but now I would go with the following; Lee Richardson Chris Harris Poland Tai Woffenden Danny King Lewis Bridger I think that the spirit within the camp was excellent, and we need that spirit to carry one, brining back Lee Richardson for me is a no brainer, he is having a very good season in England and Poland as well, and has been our most consistent rider for Team GB over the years, and of the 5 from last nights meeting Eddie Kennett was the one that seemed to struggle the most, and I think he will in Poland as well. I don't see us qualifying for the Final, but I think we now have to stick with young guns, and let them now have their time. -
Mr Kieth Chapman
spin king replied to gatekeeper522's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I hope that you are right, how anyone wants to prepare tracks that are ultra slick for showcase meetings like WTC and GP's is beyond me. -
Mr Kieth Chapman
spin king replied to gatekeeper522's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Has anyone ever asked Ole Olsen why he prepares slick tracks for big events, surely it is time for him to step aside and let someone else have a go the man in my opinion is killing the sport with his arogance.
