  1. If that is true then it is no wonder Jason reacted.
  2. Might buy the DVD for this meeting see what really happened at the start of heat 13, to be honest I did not see anything untoward, but it won't be the first time I have missed what has happened, so it will be interesting to see what happened if anything. The heat 4 incident was as clear cut as anything down to Jason. I don't whether or not because it was Rye and what went at the start of the season but Jason did appear to be really wound up last night, and it was the first time since he came to Sheffield that he appeared not be riding with his head. So far this season the meetings that I have seen (which is everyone bar 1) at Sheffield he has rode with his head. But it is something that he needs to look at, because when he does ride with his head in gear he is a very talented rider, but cannot afford to keep getting himself involved in silly arguments and fights.
  3. I know how the Berwick fans are feeling. Around the same time in 2013 our then Promoter Neil Machin announced that our speedway team at Sheffield was up for sale. With the club fighting off the wooden spoon, and the crowds falling alarming like Berwick fans I too was feeling as thought that I would lose my speedway team, and if that would have happened then I could not see us ever returning. I would say that at the time our situation was bleaker than the one that Berwick find themselves in at the moment. Fast forward to 2014, and we did have someone come in and take the club on, crowds went up even though we had a team that was cobbled together at the minute and again we just missed the wooden spoon, but the fans could see that the new Promotion were working hard to make improvements. 2015, the Promotion have had no luck again with injuries, but in saying that we have made the League Cup Semi Final and we look in a very strong position for a Play Off place, and crowds appear to be still bucking the trend and not gone down. If it can happen for us why not Berwick, the one thing that needs to happen is that the clubs Promotion and fans need to come together and work together. The main thing to gleam from the statement issued is that the club either needs investment from another source be that either joining forces with the present Promotion or to buy the club outright. Keep the faith Bandit fans.
  4. Why would he have live in either Peterborough or Middlesbrough/ Redcar, Hugh Skidmore has always lived in Sheffield throughout his career. He could live in Sheffield easy access to both tracks and have on had a fellow friendly countryman Bellego to make him feel more at home in this country.
  5. I certainly hope it isn't, as I have a degree of affection for the Berwick fans, and I enjoy there company. I do not profess to know all the problems at Berwick, if there is any about running next season and in a way it difficult to know what else the Promotion could have done. The one thing that has come across reading between the lines this season is the unity between fans and Promotion seems to have taken a bit of a battering this season, which is sad for everyone connected at Berwick speedway and maybe it is something that the Promotion needs to may work upon to secure the future of the club. Lets hope that the club will be running with the present owners or new ones if not, and for the present the riders give a far better performance for the fans for the rest of the season.
  6. Well well Berwick defeat from the jaws of victory, all the good work done in the first leg undone tonight in a massive way. Surely it has to be taxi for Mr Edberg, I would say that he has had his time at Berwick. I don't think you can put too much blame on the youngster Liam Carr, inexperienced and not long back from a very nasty injury. But the embarrassing thing is the amount of points the Rockets reserves generated for Maassen to score 8 paid 9, that score has nearly double his total British career points scored. Well at least my old mate Shadders will be having a cracking night.
  7. Apologies for the late reply to your question. I was referring to Ipswich Promotion. But I agree with others that it is time to move.
  8. And according to his Facebook page wrist as well.
  9. Latest is that he off the crutches healing well and hopes to be back fighting fit for next season.
  10. I think you have absolutely spot on. To try and deflect the blame on to Josh is a disgrace, and bang out of order.
  11. Make a comparison of Kenneth Hansen and Steady and Sean Wilson.
  12. Another Jenga pearler. Correct me if I am wrong did not Hansen drop from the number 1 position to reserve.
  13. Get prepared to be called a armchair fan. To be fair this season the Newcastle track seems to have shown a lot of improvement.
  14. I think the top 2 will be Edinburgh and Somerset. With Glasgow, Ipswich, Peterborough and Sheffield fighting it out for a Semi Final place.
  15. Having looked at the footage again and again, I would say that Tungate is guilty of taking Josh off. I think the question is what was the intent. To me it looks as though he has flicked his back wheel to spray Josh with dirt from the track. Unfortunately the move appears to be got wrong and he has caught Josh and to his front wheel. Of course if the referee had have done his job properly either Josh or Tungate should have been excluded from the first running of the heat. What happened afterwards was down to the referee not taking the action initially.
  16. To be fair over the last couple of months Simon Stead has taken him under his wing and the riding and points scored has improved vastly.
  17. Bearing in mind that large amount of those meetings are at Sheffield. I will know what those comments will have been, as I stand with the two texters from Sheffield each week, one of which is my own son. In saying that I am not saying that Josh is perfect and he does make mistakes.
  18. You very well travelled. To see most meetings that Josh Bates has rode. Or perhaps you are being economical with the truth.
  19. You have to wonder with both the Berwick reserves who on paper look one of the strongest in the league not performing. I have been surprised that Bandit fans have not commented on Richard Hall's performances at Sheffield this season. Three meetings rode. Two as Guest rider for other clubs riding the reserve position. One for Berwick. 7 rides 14 points (Guesting for Newcastle) 5 rides 1 point (riding for Berwick) 6 rides 6 points and 2 bonus points (Guesting for Glasgow)
  20. No I think that the present top 6 will be the Play Off teams.
  21. I have watched over and over and looking at the clip I don't anyone can say whether or not what Tungate did was intentional or not. Looking at the first video clip I would say the referee bottled it by bring all 4 back. It was not first bend bunching as they were on the beginning of straight. The clip with Morris and Lunna proves nothing as you cannot see a thing. But if you are going to use the clip of the re-run with Auty/ Tungate then I would say it proves nothing due to distance away from the incident.
