  1. Would not disagree with that statement, and if you are going to be controversial in what you say expect that you may get something controversial said in response.
  2. Total over reaction to Cook's tweets. When are the people of Berwick going to learn that if you bite, the man will fish even more. Or Makovsky in 2009 bouncing of the fence all over the track pulling lockers in front of Chris Mills. Not content he then wiped out his team mate Franchetti in the next race.
  3. Cookie is a wind up merchant, but at least he gets people talking, and deep down its just a bit of fun and the Berwick fans seem to bite more than others. And deep down every Premier league would welcome him with open arms if he said that he wanted ride for their club. As for the meeting Best Wishes to all the injured riders firstly. On my own team's front I would have rather taken no points a defeat and a fit 6 riders coming back to Sheffield, we are edging closer and closer to the Play Offs, but as things stand at the moment we rapidly running out of riders, and with the Monarch's due on Thursday we could well do without a patched up team. Little bit concern with Bellego and Klindt, Bellego really needs to pick up his game away from Sheffield, has and can be a match winner around Sheffield but his away performances have been poor and this season his away average is below both Josh Bates and Arthur Sissis. I suppose a win is a win, but it feels very hollow to be honest.
  4. Brady has loads of Guest booking for Sheffield this season and has done okay for so not so sure whether it is his form that needs questioning.
  5. Not the best meeting I have ever seen at Somerset. Scarily Edinburgh looked so good and seem to peaking at the right time. I just wonder how much the defeat to Plymouth has taken out of the Rebels confidence wise, they look a pale shadow of the team that beat us at Sheffield early this season. And how bad was Worrall.
  6. The league meeting this season at Sheffield typifies Richard Lawson usual performance around Sheffield. 3, 3, 0, 1, 0.
  7. I have seen a helluva lot of Lawson at Sheffield over the last three seasons, (lots of Guest booking for Sheffield, and riding for Glasgow and Redcar). The one thing that is consistent about him every time is on certain gate positions you know what will happen he misses the gate and where ever is from the gate that is where he will finish, and usually that is stone cold last. Unlike the likes of Cook or Kurtz, who if they don't make the gate are more than capable of passing riders in front of them at Sheffield. Sorry your man Lawson may win a battle or two but he won't win the war.
  8. The two main contenders I think will be Kurtz and Cook. The best of the rest, King, Garrity, Lambert, Morris and Grajczonek. Dark Horse, Eddie Kennett.
  9. The lad has said that Owlerton is one of his favourite tracks, along with the fact that he has had plenty of Guest bookings for Sheffield at home and that should give good chance to win the title.
  10. A lot will depend upon the team that put out as how much we win the meeting by. I cannot see a walk over for Sheffield and will certainly be closer than most think.
  11. THJ would have been turned down due to been a GP rider. I think you could count out any Swede as most ride in domestics leagues both Thursday as well as Tuesday. Would be very interesting to see who the rider was.
  12. With reference to thanking the Kings Lynn Promotion for their help in getting the rider to Scunthorpe. I wonder if they have encouraged the rider to ride for Scunthorpe so that they can have a look at him for next season.
  13. So providing he does not pick up an injury he just qualifies been asset, by the end of the regular season fixtures.
  14. Well at least we got you to say something positive about Rye, that has not happened for some time.
  15. Putting aside who did what to who. How good did Josh Bates last night.
  16. Very surprising result. That means that there is only one team with a 100% win record at home Workington.
  17. If that is true then it is no wonder Jason reacted.
  18. Might buy the DVD for this meeting see what really happened at the start of heat 13, to be honest I did not see anything untoward, but it won't be the first time I have missed what has happened, so it will be interesting to see what happened if anything. The heat 4 incident was as clear cut as anything down to Jason. I don't whether or not because it was Rye and what went at the start of the season but Jason did appear to be really wound up last night, and it was the first time since he came to Sheffield that he appeared not be riding with his head. So far this season the meetings that I have seen (which is everyone bar 1) at Sheffield he has rode with his head. But it is something that he needs to look at, because when he does ride with his head in gear he is a very talented rider, but cannot afford to keep getting himself involved in silly arguments and fights.
  19. I know how the Berwick fans are feeling. Around the same time in 2013 our then Promoter Neil Machin announced that our speedway team at Sheffield was up for sale. With the club fighting off the wooden spoon, and the crowds falling alarming like Berwick fans I too was feeling as thought that I would lose my speedway team, and if that would have happened then I could not see us ever returning. I would say that at the time our situation was bleaker than the one that Berwick find themselves in at the moment. Fast forward to 2014, and we did have someone come in and take the club on, crowds went up even though we had a team that was cobbled together at the minute and again we just missed the wooden spoon, but the fans could see that the new Promotion were working hard to make improvements. 2015, the Promotion have had no luck again with injuries, but in saying that we have made the League Cup Semi Final and we look in a very strong position for a Play Off place, and crowds appear to be still bucking the trend and not gone down. If it can happen for us why not Berwick, the one thing that needs to happen is that the clubs Promotion and fans need to come together and work together. The main thing to gleam from the statement issued is that the club either needs investment from another source be that either joining forces with the present Promotion or to buy the club outright. Keep the faith Bandit fans.
  20. Why would he have live in either Peterborough or Middlesbrough/ Redcar, Hugh Skidmore has always lived in Sheffield throughout his career. He could live in Sheffield easy access to both tracks and have on had a fellow friendly countryman Bellego to make him feel more at home in this country.
