  1. Great win for Wolves. Proving people, including myself very wrong with our early predictions. If they can pick up some 4pt away wins then I think they have a good chance of staying in the top 4 Magic is a big miss for Poole at the moment. Any idea when he is back? It's good to see Holder scoring well as a second string but it now means Watt will likely struggle as a heat leader. People keep saying Poole will be hard to stop once Ward is back but it's not just one rider struggling (although I guess unless direct swap for Magic, two changes would need to be made to fit Darcy in anyway)
  2. Congratulations to Coventry Bees on another win and 3 points on the table. Great to see Sarjeant winning his first race back from injury and Harris getting a paid maximum. It's a shame the weather was bad but credit to both teams for getting it to heat 10 Things do look very worrying for Lakeside at the moment as last night they really did look a one man team. When lining up at the gates, Kim was the only one who looked likely to win a race. Batchelor didn't look interested either. Wright did try hard but it just didn't happen. What was with Peter Yorke? He kept announcing Boxall in races and saying it was good he was back even though everybody else in the stadium knew he wasn't riding. Then he said he hoped Lawson was okay after he fell (even though it was Ellis as Lawson wasn't even in that race) Surely it's time to get somebody new in to replace or support him who knows what they are doing.
  3. Another good away point for Coventry Storm esp with Crang missing
  4. I don't think Batchelor needs practice on our track, usually rides it well anyway. Anyway the track never seems to be the same two weeks running lol.
  5. Where did you read it was a guest? Wouldn't be many suitable guests available as there's only Belle Vue & Swindon not riding. Nicholls average is too high, Batchelor is guesting for Lakeside so it only really leaves Zagar (who doesn't guest) and Kildemand
  6. The meeting preview on the Wolves website says Kyle Newman and Josh Bates will both be riding in this meeting. WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Jacob Thorssell, Tobiasz Musielak, Ricky Wells, Peter Karlsson, Lewis Blackbird, Josh Bates. POOLE: Maciej Janowski R/R, Davey Watt, Dakota North, Kacper Gomolski, Chris Holder, Lewis Rose, Kyle Newman.
  7. Lawson and Bech both scored 12 on their last visits to Brandon with Lakeside. Kennett knows the track well and Batchelor rides it very well. Whilst I think this should be a home win (if all our riders are scoring), I don't think it's going to be the huge win some are predicting.
  8. Sarjeant didn't get to test his fitness today at Glasgow as the meeting was rained off. Hopefully he will be okay to race tomorrow.
  9. Hopefully he's fit to ride as never nice to see a rider injured but even if he isn't, I really don't think Poole should be underestimated. They have several riders more than capable of winning races. Wolves have started the season well but they are not beating teams convincingly, usually just by a couple of points. I think this meeting could be very close. If Newman isn't riding then it would be advantage Wolves. However I think Poole should win the return meeting which will balance out the points.
  10. Berwick has now also been rained off. Does this mean Crang will be riding or is it too late to change?
  11. @OfficialComets: Today's meeting against @BanditsSpeedway is off due to heavy rain
  12. @OfficialCovBees: Storm now have @DGR_greenwood available for trip to Mildenhall today after Glasgow v Rye House was postponed.
  13. I think Scottyfan has forgot Newman is riding as that for me is likely to be two heat wins in heat 2 and 12
  14. You would have thought so but no, the averages showed he was on an assessed one
  15. Even with Holders average lower, Ward still doesn't fit in to the team unless Magic is the rider he is replacing. With Kacper no longer having an assessed average this could also play a big part if he keeps upping his average. I imagine Holder should be scoring much easier in his new position although has come last to several 2nd strings already this season. The problem may be though, will Watt be able to cope in the heat leader position.
  16. R/R for Janowski Lewis rose guests in place of Paul Starke (PL)
  17. Garrity scoring more than enough to cover for Bellego. Stead is a big miss There are riders in the team struggling, Burks being one of them.
  18. Seriously lol. Kennett has been riding in the EL for years and did once have a 8pt average. It's not like he's a PL rider who has just stepped up. Hes been on the decline for a while. King also rides in the PL but still managed to come out and win heat 15 so not sure what your point is there? As for being a team man there really is no competition. Garrity is always there at the pit gates supporting which ever bees rider goes out and the other riders have often praised the impact he has on team spirit in the pits. As for Kennett, when he was with the bees and often scoring nothing, he would always sit with his head down in the pits. I don't remember him being a team man when he cheated and let his team mates down by getting banned.
  19. Troy Batchelor guests in place of AJ Sarjeant and Boxall will face fitness tests before Monday.
  20. JK has posted photos of the showers at Lakeside tonight and complaining about the cold water and mould, oh dear.
  21. Nice to see other managers giving credit where credits due. @SkidMark73: Crikey, the @OfficialCovBees are on fire 🔥 not even a Lake-side can damping their good run #fairplay 🏁 Aw how sweet. She's out tonight but I'll make sure I'll let her know
  22. Congratulations Coventry Bees. They had me worried there for a while. Unlucky for Lakeside as the meeting never had more than a couple of points in it. However my biggest question has to be why on earth would you put Lindgren in heat 15 when he had scored poorly. Can see why they picked Kennett as he had been brilliant all night but as us bees fans know, Kennett and heat 15 are usually a disaster. I was impressed by Kim tonight and It was good to see both Owen & Ritching score a point. For Coventry, Garrity once again was brilliant at reserve and coped well with the added pressure of no Sarjeant again tonight. King had his best night yet and responded really well when we needed it most. I agree Hans form tonight was again a bit worrying but if you look at the other no1s in the league, they have all had bad meetings. If we can get a away win with our no 1 off form and without our 2nd reserve then imagine what we could do with them all on form Let's hope we can do the same at home Mon.
